I don't own Mac, just a regular HP laptop connected to this AOC monitor, but I've seen many comments on interwebs about people complaining how QHD and Mac are not good match. Maybe it's worth looking into it more.
@Psihonaut89 I use a 1440p monitor privately with Mac. And everything looks good on it. There is a review of the LG 27GP850 on the channel, that's my monitor.
