This is the best instructional video I have ever seen. Not just for lights o lights but in general esp how he shows you how to zero in your beam amazing
Actually, this way, it's closer to the barrel. If you were to mount it perfectly to the side, you'd have to add the width of the mount, whereas with this setup, you don't have to account for the width of the mount.
Does OLight make a switch/pressure pad the mounts directly to mlock (rather than needing to use a piece of pic rail adapter first)? If so, please link me or post the model. Ty
Olight innovates! Lots of good tension and zeroing options, great mounting options, great switch/activation options, and I LOVE the replaceable battery and charging the battery within the unit via the tailcap. The replaceable battery is key for longevity and also to keep going in the field. So fantastic! A+++++ please keep up the great work Olight, and dont change.
That's not how to zero a laser, it works if you only every plan on engaging targets at the distance you match it with your reticle. But if you plan on engagements from variable distances you need to zero the laser parallel to the barrel, so itll appear in this instance where it's Mounted on the rifle to be offset to the top right but it's actually zeroed correctly and parallel to the rifle. In the military we had special targets designed to make this process painless and I hope olight comes out with a version of their own.
So what you are saying is zero the laser at a different distance? Ex: reticle is sighted at 50yards and laser at 100yards. Basically 2 different zeros for 2 different distances. He was originally saying there is a calibration target that has different distance marks setup to zero both at the same time. Is this correct?

More circumstances would normally use the LOW than the HIGH. On my O'light switches, I'm always trying to find the low before the easy to find high. You guys should switch the low to the larger size on the switch and the high to the smaller switch.

I purchased the GL M and do I have to worry about the laser aiming screws moving and then my laser will become inaccurate? I have noticed that shooting a rifle screws come loose.
Does the pressure switch with odin (not odin GLM) allow you to select high/low (by deep/light pressing)? I saw the sROD-7 with two buttons, but that one doesnt say it's compatible with odin on the website.

Why not, but better way is to zero your red dot first, and make sure, it is zeroed FOR REAL on the range, then zero laser. Bore lasers are not too precise, either laser mounted on the side of rifle - think it as cqb helper, not long range tool

Thank you for showing that the laser is adjustable
Should have situated the laser emitter on the mount side of the light so it's closer to the bore
Good idea

Gotta agree esp the charger it's so easy magnet and you can twist it without it disconnecting very good innovation.
My only gripe is the laser should be mounted as close to the mount/barrel as possible for maximum accuracy without a large holdover

Most Laser/Lights are used for CQC. I'm sure zeroing this way will work out just fine.

So the light only mounts on M Lok and not picatinny rail?
Buy M Lok adapter to picatinny rail, for the light to attached.

Very informative
does this have a strobe function

No
Now that you said it, I kinda agree with you. I run low settings on all my defensive lights.
No.
Can this new switch be used with Odin?

Would love to know how well this holds zero with 5.56 or 300blk.
They hold great I’m in law enforcement and use it on my duty rifle and 3 of my personals one is 300blk and it does not move.
does the green laser also have a high and low mode?
Mine does not
I don't think so. The laser is a fixed brightness
Will it work on a Smith And Wesson MP15 Tactical?
If you have MLOK for the light mount and pic rail for the pad.

This light is ready quality. Unfortunately I cannot get the remote switch to go in a decent spot but that’s alright
Learn to C-clamp your rifle and put it on top.
This can only be used with mlok?
They make a rail mount version
