  • We continue up the River Thames, from Goring to the entrance to The Duke's Cut onto the Oxford Canal, above King's Lock. On the way we see lots of locks, weirs, and bridges. The most interesting sight is a fight between a hawk and a red kite. We pass right through Abingdon and Oxford, and up onto the overnight moorings above King's Lock, at which the weir dates back to the 1200s.

Totally agree Wallingford is a bugger to moor, hence we moved on and moored at Shillingford which also had a great pub.

If remember Days lock was the most violent lock we did, unless the locky opened the paddles quicker lol.
