Something about The Happy Mask-Salesman is low-key terrifying. That smile… like a nightmare.
When I was younger, my theory was that the Happy Mask Salesman is the Zelda equivalent of Loki and that Termina is his dimension of sorts. Hence why he magically disappears at the end after getting the mask back.
Again, this was (and kinda still is) my theory from when I was a kid. 😂
I heard he’s based on Miyamoto, at least in looks. Hell he has a Mario mask. Maybe he IS omnipotent

ive always assumed he is a god, similar to majora, hence why he knows what will happen and why he is so concerned that someone might wear the mask and effectively free majora (who he likely imprisoned)
