considering it was flatout this was the most fuel efficient lap in Mishas history, you can do 10 laps no problem in this thing before refueling lol the fuel gauge barely moved 😅
Misha, you might need to check the records over 20 years, but I think you just set a new lap record for the Daihatsu Cuore on the Ring!! Considering how hard you were pushing the 22 year old car, I think it deserves immense credit that the engine temperature remained completely normal and astoundingly, there were no creaks or rattles from the interior of the car. Now, that is what I call excellent Japanese engineering and build quality! Bravo!!
The low HP car laps are my favorite to watch, seeing regular cars pushed hard on a proper track is rare. I hope someone with a first generation Mazda 2 allows you to take it for a lap.
thanks for taking it to Misha. about ten years ago I was given an unregistered 2000 daihatsu Cuore two door... 1 litre, three cylinder engine, three speed auto, 155/65/13 tyres. I also had a V8 BMW E38. The Cuore was/is so much fun that I sold the beemer and kept the Cuore .
man im loving that cars that easily pass you on the straights, you not only pass them back in the corners, but even put clear air between you and them in the twisty bits. what a pleasure to watch.
As a Japanese person, I'm glad that people are taking good care of cars that are no longer manufactured. It's a car that can no longer be seen in the Japanese used car market, so I want you to take care of it as much as possible.
3rd gear of this car gave me the best representation of the elevation changes of the track I’ve seen so far. Some of the parts i thought were rather flat are actually downhill.
Yep, If you have never been, the first thing that will get you is the elevation changes, and then how narrow it actually is. It gets me every time, even though I go once a year. It's a really fun track for underpowered cars, as you have to, Have to, HAVE to keep the momentum up all the time :)
Absolutely loved watching this. Some people have lots of money and you see that around the ring. This bloke has this car and is super proud of it and so he should be. I absolutely love it, amazing lap guys 🙏🏼
When Misha said "honestly it's a beautiful lap there's no traffic" I couldn't help but lauph thinking yeah there's no traffic cause you can't catch up to it 😂😂
Yeah, it just needs a bit more. I don't know these cars but either a small turbo... or some cams and head work to bump up the high rpm HP. Just needs a bit more for the uphill.
I regret selling mine. I miss it so much. Was a blast seeing you having fun on the track in this little beast. See guys you don't need a big car and big power to have fun
This is the most fun lap I've seen on this channel. I used to own a version of this car, so much joy to drive. "For what it is, the handling is quite good".
I've never seen misha look in the mirror so many times 😂😂 the joys of driving a slow car on the nurburgring. Lmao. And he STILL got plenty of overtakes. If that fuel gauge is accurate this would have to be the most economical lap we have ever seen on the nurburgring
Honestly one of the most simple laps in the most simple of cars and it was one of my favourite to watch. Satisfying and the traffic was good too. Great watch Misha🫡
That was fun to watch. Mine is a tad newer, but I love those little things. No power steering (in my case), no AC, but light - it's just fun to drive, and below 70kph reasonably quick.
Haha that was me in the 335d second ever lap and I seen this flying up I thought this guy must know the track I’ll pull over hence why I contemplated the overtake I kept thinking every corner coming up was that tight left where I nearly fucked it up on the first lap haha so happy it was you and you basically got me on film most of the video 🎉 I can see officially say I overtook Misha even if it was in a little slow car 😂
I love the cuore l7 car. i had one of this, too. three cylinder, 998 cc, 56 hp with 12 inc steel rims. no elektrik windows. No clima. No electric mirrors. Pure driving only. The japanese Mini. 🤩Unfortunately to much rust... Nice driving!
Slow cars driven fast are so much fun...also loved the volvo (244 I think) video. Thanks to Misha for giving it a lap and not turning his nose up at it.
❤from Malaysia with K3Vet Perodua Kelisa! (Remember to use the original YRV stab bar for much improved cornering, but at the expense of lower arms bushes in every 5000km)
Ah Miisha I was watching you and the owner the whole way though this Dude was just chewing his gum and smiling away loving what his car can do. This video was so much fun
On slow car laps I always have to think of Sabine Schmitz taking a Ford Transit at full throttle around the ring vs. Jeremy Clarksons Jag... That was epic...
I also loved our Cuore L701. For my wife on the long term it was too basic (3 doors, trim level "pur"). We changed it for teh more boxy Cuore L251 with 4 doors, parking heater, AC, electric windows. Sadly it does not handle as well as the L701 but still is quite some fun due to the low weight.
For those who are more of car guys and less track guys... This video is for you. Misha keeps proving again and again that even in shitboxes you can have tons of fun, and with a lot of skill you can overtake much stronger cars (at least in turns).
Hey Misha i loved the video ! that was me on the blue Honda civic at 5:25 I was doing my best lol :D I hope one day you can drive my car and show me how it can handle the nurburgring :)
For sure you are faster then me....I think I'm to scare to drive there. (To much respect for this track.) Hope you had a lot of fun with your beautiful Honda👍
My uncle from my mom’s side had a Silver Coure with a 5 speed manual here in Pakistan. He left it with us when he went to the US for a better life. I used to sneak out in it and learnt how to drive properly on it. Never did I imagine I’d see you drive a Coure on the Nurburgring! This has brought back so many core memories!!!!
The Pakistani ones are even harder to drive than this one so kudos to you😂. Pakistani ones had the older carburated engines no power steering no electronic assistance at all this cuore is tame compared to them
Too bad I don't have my 90 hp Honda Civic ej9 anymore. Would love to push it there. It wasn't fast, but thx to independent suspension on both axis, shorter eibach springs and bigger tires it had soo much grip that I almost never used the brakes on that car.
Funny little car, had one too, but only 56hp and after crash the later model with 58hp. Of course the big wheels consume power, i changed the 175 tires with 13" alloy wheels to 155 on 13" original steel rims and saved 5kg per wheel. After it went better. Unfortunatly the cars have an illness with the oilrings of the pistons. The newer on consumed at least 1l oil at 100km.
My first car since having driving until now, almost hit 400,000km odometer soon. In between I have experienced years with sirion/Myvi , F30 330e, F56 cooper S, at the end of day I still like this tiny car for daily. Low HP train me drive less dependant on brake to keep the momentum going, where high HP car you can always hit the accelerator pedal
The gas gadge didn´t move an inch. LOL! Next level would be for Misha to drive a Daihatsu Capuccino. I do not know how he would get in though. The Capuccino is smaller than a Mazda Mx5 :))))
Actually if you buy a Daihatsu Young RV (YRV) with 130ps turbo engine and manual transmission (not the AT!), it weights only 940kg, tweek the engine, upgrade suspension, tires, brakes, it will be quite fast around the Ring. We had some of them in service back in the days, and they were fun to drive 🤣
I had a 5 speed 1.6 Applause 4 door (A101s) as a shopping cart and got quite fond of the thing, it was dirt cheap to run and I felt guilty neglecting it so I started to give it some love and for a front wheel drive that did mostly 110kph highway driving it was surprisingly capable. I too added 15" wheels more for potholes and speed stability with A008 Yokohama as a bit of a laugh and the difference was astonishing although 15k later I replace the very worn and soft 008's with Michelin energy fleet spec rubber. They are a truly interesting Marque and despite Toyotas later ownership still a good niche car, Nice to see one fanging around the ring on MaxAttack :-)
This is the kind of car I'd have bought on Gran Turismo 4 and put it through GT Auto for an oil change, just to get an extra 50hp - IYKYK. Love it. I've seen Misha driving considerably faster cars, where he's been more worried about the temp! It didn't move! Flat out all the way round and was still doing 40000km per litre. Loved it!
Misha I loved your commentary through out the drive had me laughing my ass off the whole time ,don't which was favorite line but "I smell brakes but I don't think it's us ,cause I've barley used them "that line had me dying 😂😂 Great lap 👍
Nice lap! I’m considering buying a small car and making it appropriate for the Nurburgring. I would keep it simple, just some sticky tires (maybe semi slicks) and maybe a little work to suspension and brakes. I’m aiming for 800kg with around 85 bhp. Do you guys think this will still be fun on the ring or is this too slow to be enjoyed after a few laps?
In the uk there’s very few of these. My friends and I have all done the K3VE2 or K3VET swap. About 110bhp for the K3VE2 and the turbo K3VETs a bit more at 130/140. My mate is getting his forged and many many other bits. Due to push about 220bhp on a 3 door cuore. Give that a lap around the ring. About 690kg.
I love when you use standard low HP cars when driving over 130km/h means more emotional fight for every additional km/h than when you use (for example) Nissan GT-R or Porsche 911 where driving over 250km/h is quite easily available. :)

Yea!
It only moved because they were uphill lmao the car didn't use half a litre

I 100% agree !! Especially seeing Misha pass much faster cars has something really satisfying about it 😂😂💨
has Mischa published a video of a Micra?
I totally agree, and that is why I loved the Sub7up series too.
totally agree
it's 10000% funnier!!! and we can see what we wanted to do with out "normal" cars haha

cardboards driving lamborghinis
forcing ferraries aside with the 7up was also cool

This was super fun and a cool change to the normal laps
Sorry meant to comment that on the actual post
