- SMOOTH AND GRACEFUL !!! DYNAM PT-17 STEARMAN: ESSENTIAL RC FLIGHT TESTwww.cmldistrib...
Second flight of the Dynam PT-17 and at last we get zero wind at the flying field. It makes for a much more enjoyable flight and I being to explore some of its aerobatic potential. What I like about this Stearman is that it never appears to be in a hurry. It's fast enough to be scale and rolls and loops just like the full size. Great fun !
Filmed by Carl for the 'Essential RC' UA-cam channel using the Panasonic AG-UX180 4K camcorder.

i like the real, not-produced videos. I have a PT-17 on the way. they are pretty.
All it needs now Dom is a pilot with a silk scarf Lol, a nice flying Biplane👍😄
I the dynam Waco. I use a 4000 4s battery. It gives it a longer flight as well as helping with the CG. And it penetrates the wind a bit better.
Good piloting skills... The bi planes just want to climb.. Its what they do...nice result after all the assembly PROBS
Stay well

Amazing Looking plane, fly's amazingly!
I agree with your comments about the CG. I use a 4s 3800 60c all the way forward and it seems just right. Dynam did a nice job with this one.
Great flight! I know it's not the same model aircraft, but when you were flying straight at the camera, I couldn't help but think of the movie "North By Northwest". I half expected to see Gary Cooper running away from a N3N Canary it as it dove at him. :) Nicely flown and nicely filmed by Carl as well. Kudos to you both.
Hi dougster Canada 1 I would have been more surprised than you to see Gary Cooper running away... It was cary grant.... hahahhahahha. I'm just a sad ol movie buff.
But I get what you meant about the profile of the plane

Nice! Would this be a suitable follow on from plenty of hours on a high wing trainer?
Yes although some of the hardware was missing when I assembled this kit. Dynam aren't best quality but they do tend to be cheaper.
Thanks very much for the reply. I was thinking more about flying ability. Building I’m OK with.
@@mhk1058 Yes. A biplane of that size would be fine if competent flying a high wing trainer.
That’s great, thanks for your help.
Nice
