  • UBER TIPS 🍒 $345 in a Single Day | $26 UBER TRIP | Ep. 15
    Can a single ride boost your earnings? See how a $24 trip turned into $26 and helped me reach $345!
    In this episode of "The Art of Cherry Picking," I start the day with $308 in earnings from six trips. By the end of the video, I reach $335 with my seventh passenger, and the next day, an additional tip brings my total to $345. Throughout the day, I drive a total of 322 miles.
    Using destination mode from downtown San Diego to the airport, I share my strategy to maximize earnings. I highlight the Convention Center as a hotspot around 4:30-5:00 PM, emphasizing the importance of "riding the wave" when it's busy to capitalize on high earnings.
    During the video, I pass on several lowball offers and explain why I turn off UberX while keeping UberXL and Uber Comfort on to increase my chances of higher-paying rides. I encounter a bug in the Uber driver app but show a quick fix: logging off and restarting the app to use destination mode effectively.
    My home is 73 minutes and 56 miles away, so I set destination mode and quickly get a $24 Comfort ride with a 4.89-rated passenger. The ride, initially estimated at 37 minutes for 22 miles, ends up being 43 minutes for 23.5 miles due to a destination change, resulting in $26. I advise letting passengers change destinations to potentially earn more.
    The pickup is from the Convention Center, where a biotech conference is taking place, and the drop-off is at Jalapeno Mexican Food in Carmel Mountain Ranch Town Center. The passenger shares insights on local hiking spots like Vulcan Mountain and Eagle Rock, which I note for future exploration.
    I analyze the ride: the customer paid $50, with $14 going to commercial auto insurance and $8 as an Uber service fee. Uber took $22, leaving me with $26, which is more than 50% of the fare.
    I showcase my WhatsApp group and community, sharing the conversations and tips exchanged among veteran Uber drivers. The video concludes with my total earnings: $593.14 from 14 trips over two days, with 24 hours online and 12 hours and 30 minutes of active driving.

    These kinds of video show the assertive element of not giving into low paying rides when one knows they can earn more. It has given me to be more strategic when picking rides.
    I do both Lyft and Uber to profit on my routes in SoCal area.
    Can you do a video where you go over the principles you abude by when using LAX to wait for a ride to a designated region (e.g., LAX to OC)? I waited 90 minutes there with no luck of an OC ride and gave into a Lyft Express Match (which worked out). Principles such as: just take the ride if you waited way too long not getting anything you want and one is on a specific preferred time block.

      That is a great idea I took a screenshot of your comment and I will make a video on this and post it will also let you know in the WhatsApp group. On a quick note for lacks you want to be there around 10:00 in the morning to around 12:00 p.m. anytime before that or after that you might get stuck in The Lax prison lot. What I normally do is leave the Lacs q and go towards Hawthorne or Manhattan Beach or even around the corner where the Costco is and get a ride back to the airport and get rematched. 50% of the time I get rematched the other 50% I don't but if I get there around 10:00 in the morning the chances of a rematch are high and also around 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. the chances of getting rematched or high because there is a lot of traffic endless Uber drivers are able to move around.

    That's funny. Here I was watching and saying to myself "Rubio's? What?" It's just your run-of-the-mill chain restaurant. This woman paying you big money, I'm sure she can afford more than Rubio's. And then sure enough, the restaurant gets changed. The party must've realized their mistake.

    1) Will you do a video on how to consistently net $150 minimum on Tuesdays in OC/LA?
    2) Is that whatsapp group invite only?

    I love the concept of cherry picking however I’m trying to get to 100 rides, currently at 35 so I can activate Uber comfort electric and add to my choices.
    So I’m taking nearly anything they hand out just so I can get to 100 threshold

      @NeverTooLate546 5 днів тому

      Sir. I'm afraid that you're on a pathway to seeing a huge "disappointment" at 100 rides. Not trying to depress you but now all the rides are so "commonized" where there's hardly any difference in different types of rides unless you're qualized to offer a premium"black" ride service. But I know you'll have to see for yourself so once you get there... you'll see what many are talking about. Drive safe!

    Where is the Uber service fee summary located? I just started driving & watching video's on here regarding the app & moving around in it. But I'm not seeing that screen? I'm in Vero Beach, FL so its a really, really small town. Biggest requests so far (just started this week) are to Orlando airport for $75 & up. About a good hour & 15 minutes away. Up I-95.

      You need to log into the Uber driver app in your laptop in order to access this. Sometimes, for the cell phone, you can also access it. I will create a new video and post it. Look for my playlist called you asked, and I answered, and it will be posted there in the next video or create. ua-cam.com/play/PLXa_17ZydpQV5qlJojgeVoRbkXRS4IhTo.html&si=R9_ERDa_cGNDHYUU

    How do you use the destination mode? And do you have a video on the PPP I kept seeing that in other comments
    I just started driving this week in the Riverside area

    • @ridexserve
      @ridexserve  2 дні тому

      Destination mode is very easy to use but I don't recommend it because most the time it does not work. The best time to use it is around 3:00 p.m. to maybe 6:00 p.m. when there's a lot of traffic and you're in a hotspot where the supply and demand is good. In your Uber driver app you will see a search button and then there is another button right underneath it in that menu that allows you to use the destination mode but be careful because even though you're using destination mode App still give you rides that are outside your destination.

      Planning positioning and patience... this basically means have a plan for example get up at 5:00 in the morning and drive to around 9:00 and what I like to do is from the city of Chino make it to LAX or John Wayne Airport that is my plan to be there around 9:00 in the morning so I can cherry pick. Positioning basically means you want to be in a hotspot if you end up somewhere where there are not a lot of uber offers than you want to move around 10 me to another city where it's going to be hot. Patience basically means you are going to need to wait 30 minutes to an hour in order to cherry pick so make sure you have a podcast lined up or are you working on your business and passive income so you are not wasting time watching tiktok. In Riverside downtown Riverside is a good hotspot and also UC Riverside when the college or university is in session.

    Let me ask you a question why would a driver refuse to take a wheelchair and loses their privilege to drive to earn money . I don’t understand why someone would refuse a ride .

      Lots of time we do , sometimes it’s a ride share and people be slicky like u for example they got 2 or 3 or even 5 passengers and ordering one seat ride share or Uber X which is only designed for 3 passengers , I won’t say no to a wheel chair but also where I’m gonna put it , on Uber X there is not that much room , it depends on the situation , oh sometimes people order Uber to their kids and we usually refuse cuz I can’t be with a minor on the vehicle 😊

      Uber is a job of service and I keep repeating that on my UA-cam channel and the driver that refused to help a handicapped person we'll probably get deactivated and that basically means that driver will get fired. I basically teach everybody on my UA-cam channel that Uber is a job of service make sure you enjoy talking to people and helping them out and then you will do just fine.

      I've had to help some older people who are in a wheelchair and sometimes even hold them up and get them into the car because their legs or their back is not functioning. But I can understand on uberX how it's hard to fit a wheelchair and but since I drive Uber XL I try to help as many people as I can.
