hell yeah man glad to see it running been seeing it in the background and was wondering what was up also glad to see the progress on jack black 🤘🤘
Great progress, enjoyed!
That's going to be one killer truck when it's done!
Cool. I really can’t wait to see jack making some steam
There was a guy back in the early 90's when they were new in South Florida. He took the cops on a high speed chase up I-95. He would jump on and off 95 going both directions. He would let the cops catch up and then dust them again. Lol. Eventually they found the truck under the overpass and he was gone. They say the driver must have had race car driving experience cause they couldnt catch him. No they were running Crown Vics and 5.0 Mustangs. No contest
That little truck is going to be a riot.
Good video man!
Absolutely amazing, also would love to find the gypsy.. very rare.
The energy in this video was killer
I feel like thats sarcasm but I'll take it lol
I'm like you bro ,collect that go fast money ,I'm ready to see jack pissed off flying.!! Hell yeah
Was so hoping you were going to pull a valve cover before the end of the video. I wonder if it has some heavy aftermarket rockers that it doesn't need. 🤔 If it did, I would 100% ditch them for stock rockers.
Great job 👍👍🇨🇱
Own an S10 Xtreme myself. Always wanted a Syclone
Was it hard to come out to your parents?
@@chrisreynolds2410 🤣 my trailblazer would bury an automatic extreme but they cool sometimes!
@@buffering7612 My Syclone will bury your TB. 😂
@@blazeroranger nice 👍 bury my slowest vehicle I still be proud of it I bet.
It sounded like a rocker arms loose or valve tick of some sort. A little loud for comfort. Definitely one of my top 3 bucket list cars being I'm an 80's and 90's kid!
I pulled the valve cover off and it was hitting them hard
The rockers are hitting the valve covers, there are and 4 rivets you need to remove to take off the internal oil plate
My best friend since high school has a Syclone with a 200 shot of nitrous. It has the $32,000 window sticker in the window and only has 4,300 original miles. It looks and smells brand new. Such a gorgeous truck. He has been offer $40,000 for it and laughed at them.
$25k window sticker, not 32k
30k is for Ty
Did you just buy an lsa and fit the truck accessories or had to get the snout modded? Sounds great besides the rockers hitting. But wow all wheel drive beast!!!!
🤙🏻🍕 Supper SICK!! 🤙🏻🍕
Id like to see how you did the heat exchanger!
Fuck yeah!
Gaaa ! A cliffhanger! Were the rockers hitting the valve covers ?
Oh yeah they were!
Bro! Super jealous
$700 for the Motion shifter seems reasonable when you consider how good it is it's 100% made in the USA by American workers.
The shifter I bought is also 100% American made, very good quality and was $474. I think the Motion one is a badass shifter, but I don't value it at $700
I always wanted to get a bandit shifter but couldn't afford it.
Don't we all wish people would just drop a vehicle off with a blank check. Most times someone has an idea and some shade tree mechanic talks him into letting him do it. Then they find people like me and you to finish and go behind everything and fix it. Atleast with the last ls s10 I did the guy for the most part ordered everything I told him to.
Dream truck for sure. I would never swap it tho. Stock all day for that one
Tooooooo sweeeeeettt yeeesss
Dude the cyclone is gonna be a super fun truck to rip. And I was hoping you got the new motion raceworx shifter, remember you get what you pay for. Quality and smoothness for papatron reliability!!
I got another one that is American made and great quality 👌
@@SniderTron3000 hell ya dude long as it's smooth
did it damage the valve cover knocking off chips of metal ? that sucks man, what was the oil pressure when you cranked it up the first time ?
On a LS You can pull the oil plug out of the driver side Block and fill a bug sprayer with oil and it pump with the pipe fitting the pressure in the bug sprayer will Pump oil through the lifters, galleys and bearings, I'll pump 20 psi through the oil system.
Yeah, thats what I was referring to when I was saying there's no quick easy way to do it that I'm gonna do lol
Yeah I love the motion race Works shifter too but I can't see $700 for a Powerglide shifter maybe if I had two more gears to go in it'd be worth it lol 😉
RIP 🙏
I heard a tick in the top end when you first started it
Thats the rockers hitting the valve covers
How much would something like this cost for parts and labor
Hey if you can find one put a new model LT motor in the 55 that damn thing will be pretty fast with that in there
Have you decided on turbos for the Oldsmobile on the 327 yet
I ended up selling the Starfire. Nick at Regal Auto Parts was telling me to put an LT in it too
What are the parts that you used to keep the truck All wheel drive with that 4L80?
I have no idea, the truck was dropped off with the drivetrain in it already
If it's the lifters that have pumped up already that's about that
Hey man who do you us to make your drive shafts for you ik you’ve mentioned them before I need a 50” for my swap
Call Shaftmasters in Lincoln Park, MI
Some day I will own a syclone/typhoon.
Get ahold of Neil lol he's hoarding a bunch
@@SniderTron3000 he also have bully’s Syclone. He’s so rich guy
I'm curious how that rear 4 link suspension will handle towing.
Having a S10 Blazer with that rear suspension I bet would ride amazing but being able to tow like 5,000 pounds would be nice. Curious what others think.
It's gonna haul like poop with coil overs. If you like towing stick tp leaf springs.
@@peachdaddy Yeah I thought about it more in detail since I had posted the comment. Makes sense it would tow 5,000 pounds bad but the idea of having a 4 link suspension for ride quality but be able to tow maybe like 2,000 pounds sometimes just would be awesome.
What sounds like a knock on driver side
The rockers beating the shit out of the valve covers probably lol
Be cool to compare notes!
What are the upgraded parts that are used in the transfer case and dif? It's not the original syclone case and dif?
No idea
@@SniderTron3000 Lol gotcha
Stock TC. Mark Williams shaft and adaptor.
And front diff are stock that’s what everyone run. Unless bully front diff.
@@blazeroranger Thanks! Thats some info I can use👍
Man I'm excited to see how Jack Black turns out, that cyclone is awesome dude. Would love to see some footage of it once the bugs are worked out!
You should have done bowtie V6. That what I’m going to go with.
Check my vids as well
What number syclone is that.
I don't remember. I looked at the plaque at one point but idr what it was
@@SniderTron3000 last 4 digit of VIN, that’s it
Cool and all but since these trucks are kinda rare I would rather see it stock, throw the ls in a regular s10 4x4 and put a awd t case in and bigger diffs.
God that truck is just so nasty bro and them rockers are forsure hitting big time I was like holy hell haha and jacks new turbo is big as shit I thought my 78 was big Jesus Christ 😂
Hate Syclone's. I AM NOT BUILDING MY OWN POOR MANS VERSION. Lol🤣
Easiest way to prime the engine is disconnect the ignition and crank the engine over. Idk how someone can put an engine together and not notice the value covers are too small...smh.
You'd think they'd notice the covers go on a little weird but I've done a lot of stupid stuff in my day too lol
Lost your wrench at startup :P
Yeah, the noise of it hitting the frame scared the hell out of me lol
Man that tick is horrible huh
It was the rockers smacking the f out of the valve covers
Man I thought you were gonna put us on a tripod and Snatch off that pass side Valve cover WTH ?? I wana see that SHIT !!!!
I didn't wanna pull it off yet lol I was lazy today
Damn shame y'all fucked that bigblock Chevy up like that. You would have loved it if ya ever got it right. Should have ran at least low 11s NA with that engine. Bigblock Chevys ain't for everybody tho. Most folks should just stick to junkyard LS engines these days, because society has been dumbed down on purpose. Actually building engines is turning into a lost art.
Pretty fucked up to LS swap a Syclone. Some folks just don't get it. What a waste.
I am a v8 guy and nothing else but you're 100% correct, morons.
@@falconater68you do realize that he didn't swap the truck right? It was dropped off to him already swapped.
Im wonder'n stuff, I assume your a youtuber by trade, with this situation of having the truck for a year along with the other things you do (?) why are you a year in the last I remember it needed minor things and wired. Taking in your doing your stuff for youtube, no offense but it seems like you've got x amount of off time to be doing things to increase output and income or Im incorrect
E.A. your videos have been short for awhile now and sometimes not for days.
Your cars seem to be waiting on "parts" but you've said your behind the scenes doing things it just makes sense to use that as content. Not being a dick maybe you do have a real job but if not then why so vague on information as well as content thats just you starting an engine for the "1st" time
That's kind of a weird one to answer. On the one hand, when Neil dropped the truck off I made it clear to ask him when the truck needed to be done by and he stressed that it was not a priority at all. He literally said it could sit there for ages he mostly just wanted it out of his driveway so I said he could drop it off and I'll mess with it here and there. And thats what I did. He's not a mechanic, he's an office type cat. So he bought the truck thinking it only needed the fuel pump wired and the exhaust put on it. The day after he dropped it off amd I had looked at it I sent him a list of like 20 things it needed. The exhaust kit he had wasn't for this truck, so I had to modify the ever loving heck out of it, the ecu that was in it had gotten busted when they bolted the seat down on top of it, I had to rewire a bunch of things, which then turned into pulling the entire harness out of the truck and installing the whole new holley system and wiring that all up. And the heat extractor hoses weren't connected, the vintage air kit he wanted after I got it almost installed we found out a bunch of the parts were wrong and didn't match. It was just a bunch of stuff like that. And I can't spend 9 days straight working on that because I either wouldn't get any videos made or that videos would be horrible. So, I then have to go and work on the other cars and film stuff. Making videos is very fun and rewarding from a creativity aspect, but it is absolutely a ton of work. Think of doing work on a car and its a 4-5 hour job. Not bad, can easily be done in a day, right? Now think about trying to film that, and package that into something entertaining to watch and presentable. Setting up cameras and shots, thinking about lighting, all that stuff by yourself. That 4-5 hour job just turned into a 7-8 hour job. And after all that you're still not done. You have to go in, transfer the files, and edit the video, thats another 1-4 hours depending on how nice you want it to be done. There was a time I was doing daily videos and that was so incredibly rough. I was only getting like 4 hours of sleep every night because I couldn't give up time with my kids and family so I would have to wait until they went to bed to edit and make thumbnails until 2-3am. And then get up the next morning, get the kids ready and drop them off and start the whole process over again. Thats why I only do 3 videos a week now. I'll work on things on sunday and film, then monday I can have breakfast with my kids and drop them off and then I edit the video and thumbnail and grt that uploaded. Then that afternoon I get started on the next video if I can and monday and Tuesday I can film and Wednesday I'll edit. And in between all that I still have to make time for my normal life, doc apps, things like that.
So, like yeah I get it. From the outside looking in its like "you don't have a real job so why aren't you getting stuff done?" But in reality, I would have way more free time if I did get a normal job and gave up youtube. And I've thought about that. This is hard, man. Like even right now its 1am and I'm trying to find parts for these cars so I can get them done and make more videos for you guys to watch. I have to wake up in 6 hours lol
That engine is no good brother
I hate the 4.3 V6. It is the worst sounding engine ever made. That combo is what GM SHOULD have done in the 1st place! Only stickers needed on Jack are those that add HP in the form of money and parts!
Weight ratio, V6 bowtie are winner.
No Syclone V8 swapped beat any Syclone with V6 bowtie
That engine is no good that's a valve tap
I pulled the valve covers off, theres massive witness marks of the rockers rubbing the covers.
