Normal mode - The villain will use many types of enemy with varying weaknesses and strengths, keep a varied team and use a lot of varying strategies! Hector hard mode: So I heard you like Berserkers
I've always loved axe users and characters based on force. Axe wielders are alongside Archers and Mages for my favourite types of fighters. The thing with Berserkers though is that they always had a very "Go get 'em" attitude, they didn't have any pretentious lines or any "Power of friendship" speeches, they came here to cleave things, get what they want and move on. Loads more fun than the average swordsman
If only the units on the berserk class line were good... Ross is good and the only trainee I'd ever use, but Largo? Dart? Darros? Geese? we need more top tiers man... Of course, character-wise some of them are great.
I have noticed something. On the last Kishuna cutscene, when he first appears, he isn't emitting any anti magic aura, the tiles aren't red... but after he remembers, the tiles become red. Is Kishuna's sorrow the cause of his nullify ability ? Has he developed that as hate against Nergal ? Is that wh bhe showed next to Aion, a Black Fang mage, by pure spite ? Nergal mentioned Kishuna was utterly useless so I imagine he didn't have the null aura before.
@@magix_7391 nah, kishuna has an aura, and thats specifically it. his aura isn't a part of the map. we see this by that very same aura disappearing when he leaves the map, that time when he "escaped" and the other time when he was "killed".
Nergal had no use of him because it was the remainder of humanity nergal put into kishuna that made him hate it so much. I think he did this because kishuna may be Renaults friends. To see someone do so much bad for someone they cared for must have gave nergal a reminder why he began his quest for quintences in the first place. So kishuna Was a way for nergal to essentially off himself or a part of him that knew he needed to be stopped. It’s the reason why after completing all the X chapters his dialogue changes more about his wife (aka Ninians and nils mother)
This interpretation seems so right ! The seal is activated bu kushina negative emotion, acting like a negation of essence and magic ! This is why Lyn & Hectors felt so angry. They feel Kishuna's feeling. One funny fact too. It's the 1st morph created by Nergal with emotion, a representation of humanity Nergal put in him. But also the expression of Nergal's humanity. He lost his purpose to recover his family and get mad in his quest, deep down he wanted to be arrested. And from 1 part Kushina couldn't contribute to Nergal's action, he can't fight, kill or collecting quintessence but Kushina developped the power to arrest Nergal with a magic Seal ! This fire emblem background story is so deep !
Kishuna is like a failed experiment of a morph that defies his master. Kishuna thinks life should not be about war. He was called a monster that can’t fight. He is an enigma. He was killed into dust with sorrow.
The berzerker version of the level actually makes total sense as why those units would be so powerful yet rejected. They're litteral berzerkers, and presumably don't obey any order nor are capable of distinguishing allies and ennemies. At best, they may regognize what's a morph or not, and just rush toward what's not until the battle is over. As for the normal version, they're probably the elite guards of the place, standing between you and the last level (one missclick would make a speedruner go to this level instead of the last). Which could mean he locked himself in the back and released the berzerkers with no care whatsohever for what they would do once outside. Still a tragic end for the magic seal...He either wanted to stop his master who have long past madness over the years, but was too far away since Nergal locked himself in the deepest part of the temple, or he came there as a decoy and was loyal until the very end.
The reason we don't see Kishuna's battle sprite might be the fact that he doesn't have a weapon. Any unit without even a staff will have its battle animation skipped, and they probably couldn't be bothered to script in an exception for Kishuna.
No, that's not true. It actually shows special disarmed animations. Kishuna only had a disarmed animation, so it would have worked. If they gave him a weapon it wouldn't have worked.
That 2% crit is more unlikely than it looks, the attack RNG had to roll a hit for it to critical I once had Soleil in Fates die because of an 8% crit on a 4% hit. Funnily, it was a Berserker that did it
+HP Drain Yeah I know that much, I was referring to how Hit Rate in FE7 and FE8 is RNGed twice, with the average being taken as the final value to determine if a hit registers. But I don't know if that is the same case for crit rate: It may just be RNGed once.
What if the reason why Kishuna is accompanied by all these powerful morphs is because he does seal Nergal's magic too? He's theoretically the only morph with emotions and seemingly free will as well, and all it looks like he wants to do is impress Nergal... so what if, in trying to impress Nergal, he used his magic sealing powers to negate the control Nergal has over his own morphs and took control away from him, leading to him angering Nergal and being cast away accompanied by some of Nergal's strongest/earliest morphs? It's interesting to think of these things.
Limstella's death quote is : “I am not human. This mind and body are constructs. Yes, as is this sorrow." Which means her "emotions" are not real, while Kishuna's may be
I'd always assumed that Kishuna's ability to possibly manipulate emotions, like how Lyn and Hector started arguing is why the morphs follow Kishuna. Since the morphs have no personality or emotion of their own, they can't resist Kishuna pushing his emotions onto the other morphs, so they follow him because they feel what he feels.
Did you know that FE5’s second to last chapter is pretty much the basis for this second to last chapter? For starters, both are gaiden chapters, both feature a cloaked boss that sits in the center of the map on a tile that needs to be conquered, as well as a counterclockwise path with tiles affecting your magic (disabling it here and raising it by 10 in FE5) that your units need to follow that is infested with berserkers holding devil axes and magic users that harass you from afar (valkyries with bolting here and dark mages warping enemies and themselves near you in FE5). The youtuber ModelOmega pointed this out in his guide for FE5 and it blew my mind. XD
Berserkers are a simple matter, use Lyn, assuming you leveled her and made her a decent leveled blade lord. Fail to do that, and you still have the iron rune to use against them.
3:10 I think it isn't emphasized enough about how much of a pain beating him is. Save scumming and luck were the only ways I was able to beat him in my playthroughs.
4:53 maybe he was the only one with emotions at that moment especially because kushuna seems like he is older or not so well made to seem totally human like other, because at first nergal would not have as much practice doing them
It does seem Kushuna is one of the first morphs, as in the last flashback, Nergal is disgusted by him, and says "is this the best I could do back then? Pathetic."
As a kid I had no idea these secret chapters exist. I was so excited when I first encountered them when replaying the game years later. This is still my favourite Fire Emblem title ever, as well as one of my favourite video games of all time. :) Very good video, as always!
Hey, Git, are you aware of the fan rom known as Elbian Nights? It expands a bit on Elibe in between Fire Emblem 7 and Binding Blade. I think Kishina didn't have any powers till he was rejected by Nergal. He probably got this powers from the terrible sorrow he felt after being abandoned because he couldn't fight... the powers to nullify magic, Nergal's specialty.
I think Kishuna was originally meant to lead the morphs. The ones that still follow him are the first ones Nergal made hence why they are the strongest unnamed morphs. As Nergal gets more and more mad he forgets why he made Kishuna in the first place and creates other more violent morphs with emotion to lead his army instead of Kishuna. The berserker fest is obviously a joke since berserkers almost never appear as enemy units.

I interpreted the last Kishuna Hector Hard Mode berserker setup as a means of ensuring the magic seal only interferes with the player's ability to use magic. As the berserker army does not use magic in any form. With the exact class being there to attempt to take down the party through brute force.
Things like this gaiden chapters is why I am grateful for internet guides and savestates. As for Kishuna himself... Why was this guy fighting you, again? I mean, he is against Nergal and the first time he appears he stops one of his commanders. Sad that the main characters don't even try to reason with him (Then again, they could have mistaken him for another of Nergal's morphs). By the way Git, am I the only who would want a Fire Emblem game in a Renaissance era like setting with things like a gunner class and a villainous faction based on the spaniards?
Git, Ive got to say, I started watching you like a year ago and realised we share a lot of opinions and tastes. :) Really enjoy the FE content, too. Keep it up!
I'd imagine Female Druids got their custom sprite axed due to there being very little space in game and making room for other stoof. I've been told that the game is already pushing some limits for the GBA as-is, so I guess it's sorta understandable. Actually, I'm tempted to believe that the Druids there were made female by mistake now that I think about it.
Yeah it's a very strange design choice. Nevertheless the map sprites for female druids did make it over from fe6 while female shaman map sprites did not, almost as if it was intentional. I wonder if they're supposed to symbolize something...
I could be wrong here considering that I find it VERY difficult to tell apart female Shamans and Druids, but I think female shamans did make it (albeit in a weird fashion). Y'know Hannah? Well, when you first meet her she appears on the overworld as a Shaman... I think. Might be a druid. I'd check myself with Nightmare if female Shamans were a thing, but eh.
It's probably been a year or two since I've looked through the rom but I think Nightmare will definitely have an entry for the female shaman as a class, but it's the map sprite that's missing. Pretty sure Hannah just uses the male shaman map sprite.
Ok I have to immediately take that back there's map sprites for female shamans and druids in the rom, located at 0x83CC1AC and 0x83CD574, respectfully(non-idle animations at least). Whether or not they're used is another question entirely =P
What if Kishuna was supposed to be the perfect Berserker, but all those others were failures in Nergal's eyes - and after seeing how Kishuna turned out he gave up and turned towards magic-based morphs?
If you like seeing huge HP pools drop so quickly, why not create a custom game in Overwatch where it's 1 guy playing as Bastion vs. 4 guys (AI or not) playing as Roadhog?
I do love fighting massive HP enemies with no defense and weak attack, like the Faceless armies in Fates. I've always pondered the logic of critical hits in these games. Everyone is in this series is insanely fragile anyway, why include a small chance of TRIPLE damage, virtually guaranteeing a kill, especially when you know most players will reset if they lose one of their best troops to that RNG?
Similar but different. The difference is keenly felt in games like Starcraft 2 or Paper Mario. Against enemies with no Defense, Yoshi's stomp attack rocks, but is useless against anything with Defense of 1 or more. There are also some bosses that hit with barrages of 1 or 2-point hits. Defense is also more important in games where healing is a limited resource.
Junichiro Yamashita If you're only expected to take 1 hit, basically nothing. But the more hits you take the more important it is to have higher defense as opposed to health.
Mmh so to put all together, defense can bypassed by certain attacks , is more important when you recieve multiple hits, and is better to have high def rather than high hp, but then i think about chansey and shuckle
Dar3ll OG *tbh she probably married Rath, which would make Sue her descendant* Eliwood x Ninian and Hector x Florina was what I chose. (Yes, there is more than one canon, it depends only on you and your playthrough. Also... Ice dragon Roy.)
Whoisthisgit, I, the 19th commenter, have a request for weakest characters in gaming ever #17. Instead of focusing on weak-ass characters, why not cover the weakest attacks of normally powerful/weak characters? I mean, you did it in the most powerful characters in gaming ever #20, so why not do the same here? Signed~~ Your biggest fan.
I think the morphs that have emotions (Sonia as an example) are newer morphs, Kishuna was the first and later on Nergal made more, mainly any of the morphs with actual names
Nergal stated that he couldn't fight, but what if he just couldn't fight directly? Kishuna could easily be both a Magic Seal & a Morph Factory. It's possible he developed the ability to spawn Morphs in an eager attempt to please his Master.
I thought that you were going to show the secret chapter 19xx A Glimpse in Time. To achieve this 2nd part one must level up Nils to level 7 in Lyn's story and kill Kishuna in chapter 19x.
12:00 I did remember these morphs having terrible aim. Maybe that's why they were cast out? Maybe he got some defectors to go with him and trained the hell out of them as his swords/spears?
Am I the only person who really hates the fact that you don't get to fight Ephidel? You get to fight Limstella, but Ephidel is built up much more. The player is told that Limstella is stronger, but Ephidel is a large party of the early section of Eliwood's mode, killing marquesses and manipulating Darin all the way up to the first dragon summoning. It's nice to see him get his just desserts, but he still could have been a great boss. There's probably a good reason why a boss fight against Ephidel couldn't be added, but it still runs me the wrong way
@@pez1850point is? Nergal and the morphs are all defeated by the end of fe 7 and don't play a part in fe 6, beating Ephidel yourself doesn't create any plotholes within that
that is because it is not a battlesprite xD its literally only there for the promotion(1 frame only). kishunas is a battlesprite tho,he actually has a dodgeanimation

That 2% crit is more unlikely than it looks, the attack RNG had to roll a hit for it to critical
I once had Soleil in Fates die because of an 8% crit on a 4% hit. Funnily, it was a Berserker that did it
In Shadows of Valentia I had any enemy miss a 98% chance to HIT. Weirdest feeling of my life.
Let's not forget that in this game the RNG is rolled twice, so the 2% critical is very unlikely
I thought critical RNG was only rolled once in GBA FE, and that it's only Hit Rate RNG that is rolled twice (except FE6).
Jonathan Backo Hit rolls before crit (ie a 100% crit with 0% hit will still always miss)
+HP Drain Yeah I know that much, I was referring to how Hit Rate in FE7 and FE8 is RNGed twice, with the average being taken as the final value to determine if a hit registers.

It's kind of odd that Kishuna would be the only morph that feels things, since Limstella felt sorrow once you slay her in her chapter.
Limstella's death quote is : “I am not human. This mind and body are constructs. Yes, as is this sorrow." Which means her "emotions" are not real, while Kishuna's may be
I'd personally love to know how do you create artificial emotions tbh
How am I supposed to know that?
I'd always assumed that Kishuna's ability to possibly manipulate emotions, like how Lyn and Hector started arguing is why the morphs follow Kishuna. Since the morphs have no personality or emotion of their own, they can't resist Kishuna pushing his emotions onto the other morphs, so they follow him because they feel what he feels.
10:09 Kishuna gets stronger because "Intense pain helps him grow!"

You see, the reasoning behind this berserker infested map is simple.

Feels like I’m playing with fire when I fight Berserkers physically
Berserkers are a simple matter, use Lyn, assuming you leveled her and made her a decent leveled blade lord. Fail to do that, and you still have the iron rune to use against them.
So nergal has essentially side graded his morphs from blocking magic to actually fighting.
3:10 I think it isn't emphasized enough about how much of a pain beating him is. Save scumming and luck were the only ways I was able to beat him in my playthroughs.
4:53 maybe he was the only one with emotions at that moment

he is the 252th morph. so the current ones are probably 1000+ in morphnumbers

Sad that the main characters don't even try to reason with him (Then again, they could have mistaken him for another of Nergal's morphs).
By the way Git, am I the only who would want a Fire Emblem game in a Renaissance era like setting with things like a gunner class and a villainous faction based on the spaniards?
Hey I saw that sage Nino, no one can resist how fun an est is, even if they are super inefficient
if you're playing casually, Nino is easy to boost with mine glitch, by just making all the enemies drop their weapons lol

EXP harvesting on "Victory or Death".
I mean, could be a reference to how the early game is filled with nothing but brigands.
Great episode man I love this series especially when it’s a classic like fe7, keep it up
Also value of life was heaven for Eligood, he capped his str and speed somehow
I don't think Ephidel died. I think he was dragged into the dragons gate because he was to close which is why Nergal yeeted the hell out.
i dont think one singular magicdude can survive in that world for long tho
@@lpfan4491 I guess until we find a body, we will never know.
@@sauce4279 they turn into dust though
If you like seeing huge HP pools drop so quickly, why not create a custom game in Overwatch where it's 1 guy playing as Bastion vs. 4 guys (AI or not) playing as Roadhog?
Sometimes I think that Kushina was able to create his own morphs or convert and upgrade Nergal rejected ones.
I love your FE and AW vídeos
Nearly reaching 100k subs. It's been a long time, but you're so close.
WhiteFangofWhoa i always wonder in rpg what is the difference between high hp and high def, isn the result the same?
Similar but different. The difference is keenly felt in games like Starcraft 2 or Paper Mario. Against enemies with no Defense, Yoshi's stomp attack rocks, but is useless against anything with Defense of 1 or more. There are also some bosses that hit with barrages of 1 or 2-point hits.
Defense is also more important in games where healing is a limited resource.
Junichiro Yamashita If you're only expected to take 1 hit, basically nothing. But the more hits you take the more important it is to have higher defense as opposed to health.
High defense can also be used to encourage using attacks that avoid defense altogether, ala magic in Fire Emblem. It promotes strategy.
Mmh so to put all together, defense can bypassed by certain attacks , is more important when you recieve multiple hits, and is better to have high def rather than high hp, but then i think about chansey and shuckle
It's always a joy when git uploads an FE video
I wonder what Lyn meant when she said "she had so much..."
(͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
+Eliweed
She had so much milk.
+Eliweed
Just fuck Lyn?
Dar3ll OG
*tbh she probably married Rath, which would make Sue her descendant*
Eliwood x Ninian and Hector x Florina was what I chose.
(Yes, there is more than one canon, it depends only on you and your playthrough. Also... Ice dragon Roy.)
Dar3ll OG
Spoilers (who even cares anymore)
-Ninian x Eliwood=> Ice dragon Roy.. which is not in game, sadly, but that’s how games are sometimes.-
Oh I remember this level, it was pretty tough without magic.
Ian The Cool Thief
I mean that sounds interesting and all but I don’t think he takes requests.
*I learned that the hard way.*
Relax, I think he's a kind person who listens to his fans.
Codex, I wanna know what happened
Dragonized Hope, can you tell me?
But he HAS to do it! I'm sure he wants to
Can I blame Lub Lub for making me try out Advance Wars 1 and beating it?
Aaaaaand a new whoisthisgit video with an FE7 thumbnail. Instant click, thanks.
After Lyn's dying words, back to r34 i'll go
His hard mode level makes a lot more sense. Nergal made a bunch of Berserker morphs that he didnt like and they joined the Magic Seal in exile.
Also this requires Lyn's mode, because it's otherwise impossible to raise Nils to level 7 before this chapter.
12:00 I did remember these morphs having terrible aim. Maybe that's why they were cast out? Maybe he got some defectors to go with him and trained the hell out of them as his swords/spears?
lets be honest, who doesn't wanna be surrounded with a ton of muscular berserkers
holy shit this was the best end ever
Magic seal description: “A foul creature born of heresy”
**jazz music stops*
**holy music starts*
Am I the only person who really hates the fact that you don't get to fight Ephidel? You get to fight Limstella, but Ephidel is built up much more. The player is told that Limstella is stronger, but Ephidel is a large party of the early section of Eliwood's mode, killing marquesses and manipulating Darin all the way up to the first dragon summoning. It's nice to see him get his just desserts, but he still could have been a great boss. There's probably a good reason why a boss fight against Ephidel couldn't be added, but it still runs me the wrong way
FE6 exists you dingus
@@pez1850point is? Nergal and the morphs are all defeated by the end of fe 7 and don't play a part in fe 6, beating Ephidel yourself doesn't create any plotholes within that
+I forgot my own name Dont mind me, just noticed Ephidel, I was refering to Zephiel lmao
Yesterday i was watching all your fire emblem videos and i thought "when will this man upload some fire emblem?" Luck is on my side today :D
*insert Picardia face here*
Did somebody say
Berserkers?
Me: No, I said kishuna’s gay.
*kishuna:* triggered screeching
Congratulations on 100K!
So close to 100k
I like your Fire Emblem videos.
My word, how many garden chapters are in this game?!
How is magic being used all over the final Kisuna chapter? Bolting from a morph, warp from you. I thought magic was nullified.
Josh B Magic is not nullified in the entire map. In the borders is usable.
it doesnt exactly nullify magic like the game says,it just makes it uncastable. so if you fire it into the seal, its fair game
100K, Congratulations! :)
Also, when's the Best Level Ever for Fire Emblem franchise? There must be one or two contender on your list.
6:42 fun fact: Merlinus has battle sprites but you never see them used in battle for some reason
You actually see them once, when he promotes
BlueKirby64 I don’t know why they didn’t use them during battle though
that is because it is not a battlesprite xD its literally only there for the promotion(1 frame only). kishunas is a battlesprite tho,he actually has a dodgeanimation
That Kishuna dood remind me of Raistlin from DragonLance sagas
I don’t know why, but I read the title as weirdest laughs ever, so I kept waiting the whole episode for the punchline, like in Hector hard mode after Kishuna dies, he laughs like nyohohohohoheeheehoho or something. Pleasantly surprised to learn about a cool hidden set of levels and embarrassed at my inability to read the English language
When somebody calls you utterly useless in a team based PVP game: 20:34
This was... very sombre and intricate, wow... I should really play a Fire Emblem game, huh? (never tried 'em before)
I'm guessing the reason Nergal has a bunch of high-level morphs with Kishuna is that they're guards to keep him in.
Git is so close to 100k 0_0
I'm know i'm bit early on this congrats on 100k
That end tho
