God the berserker class is my favorite. I remember playing FE 8 and promoting my Ross from Pirate to Berserker. He tore through enemies like nothing lol

Berserker gives him another 1 speed, for a total of 21 speed on average. That isn't *slow* for most of what you're fighting, though granted it's not fast. Supposedly there are some secret shops on some maps that'll allow you to buy stat boosters in addition to promotion items, and at that point it's basically just a question of how much you feel like grinding. So, basically, he doesn't have *much* of a speed problem, but if you want to fix it you'll have to grind or abuse RNG, or set aside some of the speedwings you get through normal play for his use.
Ah Dart. You existence is a sad one. You're one of the best characters in the game, but you can't be used for any ranked run because of your ocean seal.
dart is a horrible unit, wtf are you on. hawkeye is infinitely better, and taking that ocean seal sucks in a regular run too, because that money is far better spent elsewhere, rather than a hawkeye with worse hp def and res but a few more speed in a game where 14 speed is enough to double 90% of enemies, and hawkeye gets that easily on average.
firstly, your personal experience means nothing. What if I had a dart who got 25 blank levels and sucked? Secondly, capping stats doesn't matter at all. Like I said, all you need is around 14 speed, and Hawkeyes slightly lower strength is always enough to 2hko or 1hko because of how frail the enemies are. Even if Hawkeye had poor enough stats for it to actually matter that dart turns out better, Dart is under leveled when he joins, can't double anything, and has a hard time hitting, and can't even promote before you get Hawkeye, and doing so costs a ton of money. Even given that the player has trained dart and doesn't mind the loss of so much money, he is much frailer that Hawkeye, making him STILL inferior.

When he comes in, his stats are decent enough to kill some enemies. During the chapter he joins he can easily get 2 levels. Then in the chapter after you have so much space you can easily fit him in to the next level. That levels filled with knights and pegasus knights by the way, not to mention archers that can be hand axed. He can easily gain 2 or 3 levels just by hanging with merlinus. Adding this all up he should end up fine and that ocean seal is coming up pretty soon. You even hit an arena before you get to it. Dart can outclass Hawkeye by the level you get him. Hawkeye is a good unit but his existance doesn't make dart bad at all. He's just there if you don't want to put work in or ranked runs.
You cant use arena abuse as an argument, you could arena abuse any unit and of course they are going to be good. Thats just how it works. Dart in his joining map is very mediocre. He cant double most enemies, and his accuracy is nediocre. And if you dont arena abuse because maaaaybe you wabt some slight amount of challenge, you actually want the money that selling the ocean seal provides, and its very much not worth sacrificing all the things you could buy with that for a worse hawkeye.

You dont need a Bosskiller in these Games, so units with 1-2 Range and more Move are better as them. But in FE6 there are some Bosses, just Rutger can kill decent
@@frederikpeters7353 I'd say that, due to how the games are, Guy and Joshua in FE7 and FE8 are as good as Rutger. Within their own games, of course. If you pit them against each other, their stats aren't going to matter as much because Rutger's going to have 15 more crit than them. And the thing about units with more movement than them is usually that they have lower stats, to balance them with the extra move. You're likely to have an easier time clearing a map with units with 5-6 movement than you are units with 7-8 movement. Then again I always play the games 'weird'. Put it this way, I'm playing through FE6, and I'm not really using Marcus at all. I just send him to villages, and send another unit with him if there are enemies who need to be fought along the way.
I did this one myself by rng'ing Darts level ups to give him more Defense, but I mostly ignored his Skl, Lck and Res. I capped his Str, Spd HP and Def with just lvls and then star boosted up his other stars. I ended with 22 Skl, 20 Lck and 17 Res. Funnily enough I also supported Dart with A Rebecca and B Geitz, because I was Doing it on Eliwood Normal mode which is without Farina. (It's not like he needs that extra 1 point of atk anyway) My first try, I rushed forward toward to the enemies and it ended up with Jerme and that Annoying Bolting sage going for My Eliwood in the corner.(luckily he had an elixir) I wanted to avoid the berserk Druid so I hanged back and let the Druids come to me (the berserk Druid didnt move of course) so after killing them and the generals, I had to take a chance at moving into berserk range. 41 hit, damn. If I had more Res I could maybe avoid getting Berserked but I definitely would have avoided getting 2-hit ko-ed by Nergal. 50 - 21 = 29 My 2nd try I missed a Crit on Uhai so I had to hang back to take care of the snipers. I let enemies come to me and avoided the Bolting Sage. My only mistake was having Geitz in range of Linus but it was pretty Killing Lloyd and Linus with a Swordslayer. I finally killed that annoying Sage and then did the forced 1-range trick on the Gespenst Druid while facing a potential 1-Crit-KO from Kenneth(That guy is scary on Enemy phase) I then baited Kenneth while being in range of that annoying Beserk Druid and ohkoed him satisfyingly and the rest is pretty much History.
Oh god...I can't help to feel bad for you regarding all of the lord training just to get Geitz...he is certainly the best primary axe users and one of the best bow users in the game, but getting him is very tedious in my opinion
How do you get such good growth on your characters? Do you have to do a new playthrough every time you do one of these videos to focus on that character or is there a trick?
Brad Gibbons Google for number of statboosters available in every chapter before you even started. Then plan his stats before you advance into the next chapter so you won't miss out a stat or two. As for the stats, if you are playing on the GBA itself, if you did not get a decent level up, restart the chapter and play another way (to 'change' the RNG sequence), OR if you are playing on emulator, RNG abuse to get at least some decent level ups before you progress.
Brad Gibbons No they don't have the option to abuse RNG, it works everywhere. Just that the savestates in the emulator makes it easier to abuse because you can trial and error without having to restart the chapter.

That moment when you can deal a decent amount of damage but literally can’t land a hit. Basically the Druid with Gespenst. Again. The dragon has a 75% hit chance. That’s got to be the best pirate I’ve ever seen.
i'm not sure if it's a property of the Basilkos or Berserkers but Dart just fucking crit that dragon for *48*. Most crits tend to be x2 but i think berserkers or that axe or SOMETHING gets x3. --Sincerely, a fairly amateur FE player.
Dart sucks. He...urgh. It wouldn't be so bad if Hawkeye wasn't so good and he didn't cost so much money to use, but the Ocean seal is too expensive, and his bases are pathetic. Con isn't horrid, and nowhere near as bad as Bartre, but...if you want a Berserker, Hawkeye just does the job better.
Yes I know, but Hawkeye joins when you get it, and if you sell it, you get 25000 gold, which is worth far more than anything Dart can do, especially due to the fact that a far better axe user can join next chapter (and that's like the only thing Dart really does...Recruits a unit which obsoletes him) and the 25000 gold nets you Farina a lot easier, and lets you buy some effective weapons if you want in the secret shop, as well as just netting you a better fund rank, and letting you get some more expensive tools. Also, even when promoted, Dart is not that good. His supports are fast...I guess, but Hawkeye does the job offensively just as well, and is a lot better Defensively.
