4:06 is literally the entirety of the 90's summed up in one commercial xD
Taking a road trip in a Geo Metro sounds like hell on Earth 😵
imagine what ned flanders kids go thru
ctfu my dad had one in mid 2000s shit sounded like a go kart going up the street. i was happy when it died. two weeks later he went bac and bought the same exact car 😂
I can’t go any faster. It’s a Geo!
60 mpg nothing to sneeze at! Go from LA to NY and it only cost ya 100 bucks.
I took my first ever driver's exam in a Metro on a frigid November day in Palmer, Alaska in the early 90's. Roads were solid glare-ice, but I did alright. Passed the exam. Always felt better about driving a stick-shift in winter conditions.
That VW GTI commercial sums up the 90's really well. LOL
0:42 It's the monolith they found in Utah 😂😂😂😂😳
These cars then: yaaay new car
These cars now: it’s poop
1:08 Designed to run like a watch is right. 27 years later I'm driving one of these. The civic peaked in this generation imo. 96-00 was still good but after that, they lost the magic.
It was when they swapped to the McPherson struts that Honda fanboys used to make fun of domestic cars for having.
But cost of production and crash worthiness prevailed (no way a double wishbone setup would help at all in a frontal offset).
Plus.. double wishbone was just a solution of trying to find more room for transverse engines in the Civic, Accord, and Preludes of the 80s. Handling was a side effect.. not intentional.
But I love my tenth gen Civic. It’s the anti-Civic. Short shift it, don’t bother downshifting. Highway pulls in 6th gear up with max torque at a mere 1800 RPM. 6500 RPM redline and no annoying VTEC. And room for my entire family and luggage for a week long getaway while getting 40 MPG.
@@Bartonovich52 I've been looking at the 2022 civic sedan and I really like the style. It actually reminds me of the 92-95 front end. I think my biggest complaint was the changes they made in 01. Seemed like cost cutting and less quality but they definitely improved after that gen.
100% agree with you.
Just remember: Cash for Clunkers wiped most of these babies out.
two people
two airbags
3:46 the closest thing the 1990s had to earrape
Lexus always had the best commercials! So luxurious & timeless! The relentless pursuit of perfection! 💎❤️💎
The grand Cherokee wasn't that quiet my dad had one and we used to call it the woody rattlebox...
Just saw the 92 Camry on the road, sounds like a sewing machine
These old commercials definitely had more of a valid point than newer commercials nowdays
1:08 Been looking for this commercial for years. 12 year old me loved it. A little different than I remembered, but SO nostalgic. Thank you Retro RabbitEars!!!!
2:37 The Pontiac SSEi is beautiful and luxury too.
And so is the man's voice., i will never hear a voice like that again., he's probably dead.,
Awesome car. They kicked ass.
@ OK Jeffy
That’s Patrick Stewart!
Lulz
Hard to believe that most of these cars are already long in the junkyard!
except toyotas.
@@sananbanan6609 Yeah, those Camrys are still all over the place.
The Jeep ad was amazing
They are pronouncing Mazda wrong. Laughing so hard rn
Mahhzdah
In Australia I pronounce it similar to how they said it
Cus' it just feels wrong
That's how Canadians say it.
English people do mispronounce non english words, names, etc. but also the Japanese will mispronounce english words, names, etc. too.
My friend and her twin owned a Plymouth acclaim we drove the wheels off that thing in high school lol
They lasted forever.
For me this early 90's Jeep Grand Cherokee is one of the best cara designs ver done! It still look gorgeous. I wish Jeep could make a new one inspires by first generation.
The Pontiac SSEi is gorgeous...plus Patrick Stewart doing the voiceover?? Engage!!
Yes… Patrick Stewart.
2:38 I had one of those. SSEI Supercharged. Total Mustang killer, and very comfy! Smooth ride!
Just looking at those seats makes me want to sit in them. They look soo comfortable!
@@danmccarthy4700 It was man, extremely smooth ride as well!
I'm trying to find this commercial from around 1999-2001 period. It was a saxophone playing and the car was driving over hills and stuff that would turn into a woman's curves. Odd description I know lol, but I loved the music. Anyone remember this?
ua-cam.com/video/oaOnTcaLmoM/v-deo.html
No - google’s algorithm didn’t lead me here. I actually searched for this. Ironically I’ve probably fast-forwarded through a couple of these on old VHS tapes and now I’m actually intentionally watching them.
So wait, I've been pronouncing Mazda the wrong way my entire life?
I don’t know how you pronounce it but it’s pronounced wrong in the ad
That's how they pronounce it in Canada for some reason
@@will2993 Because in Canada, saying it the correct way was considered 'British' and taboo.
They really spent a lot of money on car commercials back in the days! These days cars are so super expensive that there is no money to spend on expensive commercials!🤣🤣🤣
all of these 1990s commercials features make me feel old
Even the commercials are beautiful in the past
I love how 90's cars looked. So smooth and simple.
Better than today's monstrosities
popindosin228 Today’s cars look like futuristic spaceships. I miss the simple design of my mom’s old 94 Taurus or my dad’s 88 bronco.
I agree. I refuse to get a modern car! If I got a car it would be a Chevrolet Cavalier or a 96 Toyota Camry
@@kiwifrog8878 I LOVE modern Cars. i love how they look futuristic and have the ability to recibe calls and have built in GPS!
What you don't like how every car looks "sporty" nowadays? Never!
same its just cuz i grew up seeing the older lookin cars and the newer ones just look wierd to me
For those who never heard and for those who wanna share it.
HERE IS THE MILLION-DOLLAR QUESTION: Will you go to Heaven when you die? Here’s a quick test: Have you ever lied, stolen, or used God’s name in vain? Jesus said, “Whoever looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.” If you have done these things, God sees you as a lying, thieving, blasphemous, adulterer at heart, and the Bible warns that one day God will punish you in a terrible place called Hell. But God is not willing that any should perish. Sinners broke God’s Law and Jesus paid their fine. This means that God can legally dismiss their case: “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” Then Jesus rose from the dead, defeating death. Today, repent and trust Jesus, and God will give you eternal life as a free gift. Then read the Bible daily and obey it. God will never fail you
I remember my dads Pontiac sunbird
Oh man I miss Oldsmobiles.
Thank you for uploading and sharing with us 🤸🍀. It's amazing how many 1992 Toyota Camrys I still see on the road as I write this comment in 2022.
That civic look clean af
4:07 HAHA!!! Scott Cohen - aka Max Medina. Too funny.
AM OR FM??
I was looking for that Civic watch commercial FOREVER!
MAZDUH...umm..ok...that's funny AF
@Crystalverse Mahz-duh
moss-duh
Best thing is, there is no "all new electric car"
Worst thing.
We’d be there already if not for big oil trying to turn back time.
And soon enough… you’ll be staring at their taillights as they give you absolutely no chance off the line.
2019: not a single minority in the Honda dealer lineup...and no gaytransbizenonphobislamitrans either.....bigots.
I had a stroke reading this lol

0:37 1992 Toyota Camry Commercial
5:38 5:50 5:57 6:01
I was surprised that the ford escort wasn't here or the mercury topaz those were both super reliable 90s cars we had growing up 👍
The 1.9 SEFI engine in my 1991 Escort Pony was BulletProof!!!!! And one of my ex-g'friends had an '88 Topaz GS deep blue 4 door. She LOVED that car! It was a nice ride!!😎😎😎
Back when they had to mention it came with air conditioning and it costed extra.. good times
3:07 They did Saturn Dirty!!!!! I don't think I'll EVER get over Saturn going away!!!!!😲🥺😧😨😭😭😭
Look at those prices
Port Aurora will buy American Cars from 1950s, 1960s, 1970s, 1980s, 1990s, and 2000s
"Mazzda" lmao
The idea that a Saturn was going to make you think your car would last forever is pretty funny- I guess the plastic doors would take a while in a landfill…..that Bonneville SSEi was pretty sweet though back in the day. It’s a POS too of course but they were nice while they lasted.
I remember riding in the back seat of a new black Grand Cherokee with those tufted leather seats and thinking it was the nicest thing on the road, lol. But once that 95 Explorer Eddie Bauer came out- that was the one. lol. They were both terrible cars as it turned out, lol. But god I wish I could go back.

Addition network plays file forms programs or radio lists. Dealer regulars
Anyone know the song at 3:35 who sings the song I wanna hear it all the way through.
"The Object of My Affection" by Dean Martin.
Iv owned a shit ton of 90s cars. And man were American cars piled of shit compared to japanese cars back then
Two things that American cars were 100% superior to Japanese cars back then:
1) Crashworthiness. I would not want to be in a 90s Toyota or Honda hitting an American car.
2) Rust proofing. There are Pontiac Grand Prixs that have been sitting out in farmer fields for 20 years that have less rust than Japanese cars even ten years old.
@@Bartonovich52 i would say both my statement and your statement are both opinions, I own a mechanic shop, I work on this stuff everyday. My opinion, Japanese vehicle ran so much better and were alot higher quality, forged cranks, chrome rings, nicklesil cylinders, actually unit balanced from the factory, they were for sure ahead of thier time. I guess it depends on make and model, we dont deal with rust where I live, so we actually get to use them for along time, most japanese cars go 300k without many issues, very little American stuff I get though here has 200k before they go to shit. But like I said, opinion Based. But I think majority of machinc shops would agree
They are some ugly cars even looking at them brand new! Only car I liked was a the Honda Civic.
Maaaazda truuuckks
A good friend of mine hade a 93 Geo Metro back in high school. Good times. 🙂🙂
Mazzdah rather than Mahzdah? That seems incredibly odd.
I still see an unusually high number of those Camrys on the road.
Toyota was hight in 80 an 90 an still high today never fails
kinda reminds me of gta commercials lol
The Year I Was Born!!! I Love 1992 Cars!
0:46 Martin Sheen on the voice-over for Toyota.
"We just couldnt leave well enough alone"
Why are they saying Mazda like that?
WHERE IS EKT CUZ IT COULD BE COUNTING THE SHEEP
known for the Nissan car commercial song NOTHING COMPARES TO YOU by Lucy Gale She still s the most outstanding vocalist of the commercials era and the music scene .
Most commercials was written & produced by the Ross Inglis in the 90's onwards and many years sung by Lucy Gale & Dominic Ross ..
That Geo Metro commercial gave the impression that 'The Big Apple' (New York City) wasn't worth heading to during that time!
Nissan?
No Like A rock?
Mahhzdah!!!
1:08 music sampling gold right there
thats the commercial song?
Man those were some ugly af cars we drove back then.lol.Haa,maaayzda

Laughs in Honda Element.
The Grand Prix ad is very 80s car ad
LOL @ the geo metro commercial
90's cars are extremely ugly. I have never met anyone who considers a 90's car as a classic.

Classic commercials.
Damn cars were damn expensive back in the days !!!! The GEO is 9000 bucks for a tiny piece of metal with absolutely no technology on it xD
Merciless 9 it’s Canadian thats why
But still running today
@@marshalmagooo3899 😹
Worse than that.. financing was at 9% over four years.
This comment didn’t age well
love it
I'm nerdgasing to nineties nostalgia.
Pontiac is terrible
There’s nothing smart about a 48 month lease.
Nothing smart about a lease period
If you want a new car every four years, leasing is always the way to go. The buy out is always higher than the value.. just give it to the dealer and sign up for a new one. Financing you will always have paid more in interest and depreciation. If you were a business that required a new car for brand image and could write it off.. it was a no-brainer.
But the mistake is to buy new at all..: and to not keep your car for at least ten years. Heck.. lots of 90s cars would go 20 years no problem, but we didn’t know that yet and were barely out of cars that only lasted 100,000 miles from the 70s.
Mazzduh
Cars were hideous back then. Gross lol
Back then u wouldn’t of thought that lmao
shut up they is cool
1:51 I always have goosebumps when watching this commercial.
Gran Prix best domestic violence sedan 😂
