The next fabrication hurdle... does the door hit the running board? 😳

- Опубліковано 1 жов 2024
- The big moment of truth... as you know, we always weld the doors shut whenever we start slicing and dicing so that everything stays in shape. Today we're going to cut the door open for the first time to see if it's going to interfere with the running board. Once we jump that hurdle, we're going to finish fabricating the sill that runs from the inside sill over to the door 🚨

Hello from Newcastle Australia. Love watching your videos on both YT and FB....R
Running boards look great.....IT'S FRIDAY!!!!!!!
I love the car but it screams dropped lead slead lol 😆
Love to see you take the time to show the next generation and explain in great detail to keep the skills Rollin 😉 and the customs on the road you're my favorite builder for that exact reason keep it real and love the skill
Where does one get a brain like chads he is awesome
Love to work you do bad Chad I'm Clement Parsons from Stephenville Newfoundland
I remember riding in those cars, maybe around 1959. Crawling around on the floor. Houston, hot.
REMEMBER AND HIT THAT LIKE BUTTON
perfection personified. HELLO THERE, Aidyn.
I enjoy watching your videos!! You talent is impressive👍
Name that thing "Quasimodo". Fits it perfectly.
Always amazing to see you work🇨🇦🇨🇦
The fact that you held the metal stock while Ayden cut it shows the faith you have in him. A lesson he will always remember.
It’s Friiday !!
I love your work 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻 greatz from holland!
Great video Chad
The running boards look good. It is amazing how fast it goes when you have a little help compared to when you are by yourself.
Yae I no getting to old do every thing by my self like I used to help the greatest thing ever
Yae I no getting to old do every thing by my self like I used to help the greatest thing ever
Coming along nicely.
Good job Aiden 👍
Lucky Aidyn learning from a master.
Great job
Now That's Entertainment, Boys !!!!
That running board looks awesome.
Nice 👍
I don’t think Aiden knows how lucky he is to be learning the craft from legendary artist/hot rod builder “Bad Chad”!
That running board looks awesome
Nice work Chad. Car is turning out to be one sweet ride. Thanks for the great camerawork Jolene
Loving it keep up the good work to all three of ya... Can't wait to see the finished product
HEY HAVE YOU FINISHED THE "CRUNKY MONKEY" YET ?.
outstanding job! Everyone!
Love your show. Your car is a work of art. Congratulations to everybody involved
I think you left enough room for this and especially since you made the running board curve to the body. But hey if it does the holes for the mounting can be enlarged and give some adjustability.
Looks good so far can’t wait for you to paint it
The car is looking absolutely amazing! Great to see Ayden back on this epic build going on!
I like it how Chad explains all the tricks to Aiyden,he's a good teacher.
Awesome work teaching Aidyn the tools he will use for a lifetime Chad you are very good at teaching I just think what you are doing to create a hot rod from a toy of your childhood and bring it to life is a work of art thank you so much for sharing your passion with us.
Looks so awesome, glad to see you and Aiden getting along so well ,shows your true character.
Coming on really nicely Chad Aiden and as usual exceptional camera work Jolene.
Just a safety tip - Don't hold you head directly over the zip cut wheel , as if it shatters, it will spit bits into your face.
A face shield will provide a better safety for your face and ear protection to avoid industrial deafness in later life.
I wish I would have paid attention to all the safety warnings when I was a kid. Many people can’t handle the psychological /emotional stress of tinnitus.
Building cars can be easy but watching Chad he makes it do able ! He's a good teacher ! Thumbs-up Jolene 👍 and 👍 Chad 👍 Aidyn
Car's looking class. Great to see Aidan back and learning chads tricks of the trade, great job guys.
Nice long instructional video
Aiden is such a nice young gentleman who takes his education seriously. Great work Aiden!!
Nice to see Chad is teaching ayden the right way to do things. I like the way you show ayden by Chad doing something and then ayden gets to have a go at doing the same. Keep up the great work all of you 👍 👏
I hope Ayden realizes what an amazing opportunity he has to work with and learn from the master.
CHAD PROUD TO SEE YOU ARE TEACHING THE YOUNG MAN, GREAT JOB KEEP UP THE WORK.
Good Morning to CHAD & JOLENE & AIDYN the running board looks good and i must say that AIDYN is the perfect person to be working with Chad he follows rules and is a nice man
Car is looking just like the sample hot wheel.
I like its exaggerated height,Wheels etc.
Pop in your 351 Windsor with a 4 speed
A pair of high back bucket seats shag carpet
Ford Grabber Blue paint done.
That's a beautiful car.
I haven't been on in a while, just the last couple days.
My God what a beautiful car. And It Isn't Even Painted Yet. Hmmmm
What a great school day....man what a graat oppurtunity for Ayden!. And Jolene getting those camera shots is so good, it is like I am there....wishfull thinking.
You only learn from doing and making mistakes. I think I can weld just from watching you Chad. But I could only do it by doing it. Repeat repeat and repeat
Jolene, could you please ensure that Aidyn, wears Hearing Protection with that grinder. It's also important by way of setting an example for younger viewers.
Using a heavy hammer and tree stump. Reminds me of my blacksmith programs. All enjoyable
I used to work with Guy called Dennis. I can't believe what he said to me. I cut the Fucker twice and it still don't fit... ROTLF🤣
Hi bad Chad Jolene
I've been following you from the TV show
And the UA-cam channel im from the united kingdom and I've learned my self to weld from watching you and Jolene welding the crazy cab over video when will that be back on the channel
I'm also looking forward to see Chad making the jaguar a wagon
Mild Ford 390 would make her get up & go + sweet rumble. Yep, that's the ticket for sure. Giddy Up!
That running board looks fantastic and just like the Hot Wheels Car. Whoop Whoop.
you know a 10 ton press would be easier and less noise,i use a press,no English wheel or other tool,UA-cam SUCKS,i just cant figure out why they do that every shop in America or the world listens to music in their shop, and we don't charge the customer to listen to the music we play in our shops
Chad! Why don’t you have a bandsaw to cut this stuff instead of using a grinder? Also why your not using welders 90deg welder magnets to hold work together? Make your life easier!
Love the channel, the way you work and all you're doing with Aiden but man, throw a guard on that angle grinder! If that disc flies apart while your both leaning over it there is a real good chance one or both of ya is gonna get injured if not killed!
Like Aiden said... "Safety first"
Adyin is very lucky to have such a great teacher and Chad is lucky to have such a great student. Hi Fina!!!. Bill
She coming together nicely, you young man is coming together great, have a blessed day,God bless.
Great to see the apprentice Aidyn back in the house. Hows the Merc going Aidyn.
I hope this isn’t painted all goofy. But we all trust Chad Ross 🐮🐯
Bad chad I’ve only been following you for a few days watching you and your student I think you are a excellent teacher I’m from Australia a little city called Adelaide I’m a disabled man
Damn that is good looking hot rod. You have shown us your genious again. She is a beauty yes sir. Very cool can get over it.
Good job Aidyn you nailed it with that cut off blade cutting that one inch square tube. Good on you young man, your a natural. Aidyn.. That running board will last forever.
Here's a thought for you to consider. Its no secret that many viewers want to see some of these cars finished . I get that you dont want to video the boring bits. Surely there is trades people about who would be willing to do the work for exposure on your channel, or at least at a reduced affordable rate. This would also free up Chad to just concentrate on what he loves to do. Could be a win , win for everyone.
This build has ,me wanting to comment again on it . Remember it's a toy car he's building this car from . What's really there to say ? This is an interestingly awesome build ! I liked toy cars as a boy and I still like cars not so much toys today. Yes Chad you are the man when it comes to fabrication and ,making a dream come to life . Great gob son great job ! Thumbs up 👆
Chad the fenders will not support the weight of the board and a person stepping on it.
I did not see any holes through the running board into the frame..Maybe I'm wrong..
the wenatchee apple blossom in washington state used to be a huge to do, all teh colby cruisers, folks from allover the northwest and british columbia would attend and bring hot rods, motorbikes, motorhomes, oh boy, almost as big as the tri cities boat races, talk about EPIC
find a 392 hemi with 8 Webbers and paint it like the hot wheels, or find a new hemi engines as long as they been out, I'm sure you can find a wreaked truck with them engines in the junk yard,
The hot rod Looking beautiful , not as much as Jolene. Adian doing a awesome job
What brand of disc’s do you use, I worry about cheap discs coming apart. Hope to see some more work on Jolene’s chadgatti soon
Aidyn is getting an education that will make him the next official Badboy. Keep paying attention and you will go far.
Hey jolen you picked the color for your car four months ago when y'all gonna paint it. jw it gonna be awesome 😎
??? 2 bolts in front fender 2 bolts in rear fender. Not very much support especially over time as the bolts ware out the fender holes
My husband loves your show. He does body work all day then comes home and watches you. He has been doing it for 40 years. How about that?
I like all your videos, Ayden is a good student & you're a Good teacher. Nice match
Amazing how much longer it takes when teaching someone. Paying the future
Jolene in Chad arms. Sitting on a bench seat or love ❤ seat. Cruising down to the Drive In. To watch a movie. Candy apple wine paint job. I can see it and hear it in my minds eye
Quick question, doesn’t the door have to be lined up 1st?
this is a 40 ford you started with a Sedan and turned it into a cope correct it looks like a hot wheel I used to have when I was a kid I have a 66 tempest I turning into a gto but I would love to build a 30’s or 40’s coupe like what you are doing here your car hauler is sweet also
The distance from front end of lower door to center of hinge need same distance form center of hinge in to your panel…. It’s turning around center of hinge.
Yes you messed up 🤣
Just remember building cars is like life it’s all about the journey and not always the end result.
Hi chad try to watch every episode between working on my own ford i use the same dewalt grinder with 125m cut off wheels but the cut off wheels i use dont last anywhere as long as the cutoff wheel you use .is there a size and thinkness use like to use keep the orsom build loving it
Can I mention in the situation of scribibing the paper at the floor if you use a piece of heavy gauge aluminum foil and a rubber roller you can put your piece of foil on the floor and fold it down over the edge and gain your radius and then trim it and transfer that to a more solid template material . just saying my dad used to use heavy gauge foil during fabrication a lot its just more positive results . ok just my two cents on it.
Ayden, you are so lucky to have a mentor like Chad the Leonardo De Vinci of vehicles.
I can’t believe you bent that bottom seal by slapping it on the floor I always thought you had a machine to shape the metal Amazing
I’m in nebraska I would love to come up and help you build a car at least for a few weeks anyway you should open a school like shop in high school
Chad, what did people use before die grinders became readily available?
I can't believe it I found you guys Chad is an awesome car builder way too good
Good job hews a guy going to learn if he has know instruction he’s a good apprentice,
New guy is wearing his OSHA approved work shoes .
It's so awesome that u are teaching someone great job passing on your smarts and skill to the next generation and again super camera work
Adens a lucky man having a great teacher chads got plenty of time for him
Aiden is a perceptive young man, he catches on quick..
