Hard to imagine doing all that with oxygen bottles on, cave full of water and zero visibility what an amazing operation to get all the children out safely. Brilliant video Karl thanks for doing this.

The best UA-cam vlog! I just cannot imagine how could the first person laid out the rope line thought all sections of the rescue to the end and how could the Thai Navy Seal heroes carry all the equipment inside or outside the cave during the operation? Seeing the actual location they could have been more death. Salute to all rescuer terms ,R.I.P Governor Narongsak and specially the Thai Navy Seal. Hooyah Hooyah Hooyah.

Watching you struggle going through the cave looks hard enough. I can’t imagine how they done it with oxygen tanks underwater and carrying the children, amazing rescue and a great UA-cam video once again Karl’s Thailand Thank you

I finally had the chance to watch this as my wife also wanted to watch. It was good how I was able to get a sense of perspective of the conditions that the diver's would have experienced with the cave filled with water. 1500 Bath is a very reasonable price to be escorted all that way.
Yes, the experience made it all very real. The 1500 Baht also includes a week’s health and accident insurance in Chiang Rai Province and a certificate and book in a presentation pack. It is very reasonable and the criticism is IMO unwarranted. Cheers
Hey Karl, I hope all is well. That was your best so far. Being a former US Navy submarine guy, and with a little advanced tunnel touring in Vietnam, I wondered if I could handle the trip to "Pattaya Beach" in that cave. Thanks to your incredable footage and you and Anthony constantly laughing in the face of the confined spaces, I feel as if I could make it and actually work down there. The "keyhole" looks doable when it's dry. Harder to pass through dry, but easier psychologically I suppose than when it's submerged. I'll definately get to the public spaces in that cave when I go up to Chiang Mai and Chaing Rai. My school finishes next week for a while... Exceptionally well done Karl (and Anthony), Thanks for taking the time and effort to bring this journey to YT.
Glad you enjoyed it Mal. I think you could make it if you really wanted to. I tell you what, getting deep and dirty in that place gave me increased respect for all that were involved in that rescue….and there were a lot of them! Cheers buddy
We followed the whole rescue operation back then. It could've been easier with your hands free, so a big shoutout for showing us the ropes and what it's really like deep down there. This one if for the serious enthousiasts only I'd say.
Karl, what an epic account of what was probably the most difficult rescue that captivated the world. Your trip added another dimension especially as you were able to connect so well with guys that were directly involved. I have visited the cave system before but I would no way go into that cave as I felt claustrophobic just watching this video 555. Great stuff as normal mate, keep them coming.
Well worth it Brian, yeah I was definitely feeling 'all caved out' by the end of it. The thing that made me happy waqs having two hands and not having to film it on the way out lol
Brilliantly done, well documented, better than the actual documentary as we actually get to see how it looks lit up and dry,i only got to the measuring pole just past the public area last year, but now hoping that they do open the rest of the cave up,definitely one for the future, youll be running out of areas to explore soon in los ! Welll done again terrific stuff.
Absolutely amazing Karl, thanks for giving us this excellent portrayal into a remarkable rescue. I must visit this cave when I next come to Thailand, hopefully soon!🇹🇭

I was there either late December or or January this year Karl. We didn't realise that it was the first day they were opening the cave up to chamber 3. We were approached and offered the opportunity to go in but already had a long day planned and a hotel booked in a different province. We really thought about doing it but I think my partner would have struggled to make it through there so decided against it. All the media and TV crew's were there as well and was televised on Thai news. Not sure if you remember seeing this?. It really does make you feel what the boy's must have felt being stuck in there and the heroic effort from all the rescue team❤

sooo, we have not yet the spot where the kids were found. your map could show us another perspective. where your tour ended and then the spot farther where they were located. how close did you get?
Yes, I suppose I could have made that all clearer. We were m allowed to go in as far as chamber 3 but went a little further, about 800m. The place where the children were found (chamber 9) was another 1500m further inside. Incredible really that they could make it that far but one thing I have learned is that a small frame and body weight is a hell of an advantage over that type of terrain
Cheers. Elon’s intentions were obviously good but he didn’t come out of it very well in the end. As a diver I can tell you have insight into just what was involved. Cheers
@@vintageexcellence He shouldn’t have said what he said which I won’t repeat here but the British guy could have been more diplomatic in his dismissal of Elon’s obviously impractical proposal.

Be safe, be happy !
Sorry about the grief you get because of my Thai lol. Yeah, it’s all about getting out there and having fun. Cheers
sooo, we have not yet the spot where the kids were found. your map could show us another perspective. where your tour ended and then the spot farther where they were located. how close did you get?
Yes, I suppose I could have made that all clearer. We were m allowed to go in as far as chamber 3 but went a little further, about 800m. The place where the children were found (chamber 9) was another 1500m further inside. Incredible really that they could make it that far but one thing I have learned is that a small frame and body weight is a hell of an advantage over that type of terrain
thanks, karl for the clarification. as is, the video is a wonderful momento for what those kids endured. they're slight frames enabled them well.

Sound of mind and body? If you were sound of mind you wouldn't be doing that.... :)
Glad you didn’t miss my little bit of ironic humour there. Cheers
Super cool Karl! I’m a diver and this is crazy - mind and body strength required. Elon is a total twat 😂
Cheers. Elon’s intentions were obviously good but he didn’t come out of it very well in the end. As a diver I can tell you have insight into just what was involved. Cheers
@@karlsthailand I’m of the opinion he was only in it for media attention, then spoke bad of the real hero’s because he was dismissed
@@vintageexcellence He shouldn’t have said what he said which I won’t repeat here but the British guy could have been more diplomatic in his dismissal of Elon’s obviously impractical proposal.
@@karlsthailand difficult high stress situation, when you are an expert and other people start say dumb stuff it’s hard to maintain composure at times. All 3 movies were pretty good, I enjoyed the Thai version as it told us more about the story. Your vid tied some things together when inside the cave.
