True almost all my tools are Dewalt. Except my electric screwdriver. I use the Ryobi jus because its top speed is faster and no gyro. Gyro is great for some situations but for my type of use not so much.
I agree 100%!!! I hate it! High aggravation factor when your in position & must move your entire hand/wrist for power!! The more power needed, the more movement needed, while still holding the button down!! ANNOYING AF!!!
I just got one at work. It's very impressive. I do electronic work where I assemble and disassemble small items w small screws most of the day. The torque goes lower than any non precision drill I've ever touched. The '4' setting is perfect for 3-56 torx screws into plastic. 9-15 better for metal on metal machine screws above #6 threads and up. I haven't found the upper limit yet. The auto direction feature made me wet my pants (metaphorically).
There's nothing more annoying than having to hand-screw something together ua-cam.com/users/postUgkx1McjgiqTNcTjrhvRvJWcrk5bzTeQW-Wn except for the pain in your wrist that is. This addition to my tool kit is great and I can get a lot done without all the pain and annoyance. The battery last's a long time and I have yet to run out of power when doing a small project (granted I am saying small project because I'm no construction worker). The only thing that I wish it had was an LED or pair of LEDs to indicate when it was charging and whether or not the charge was complete (or full).
Thanks a lot. I was about to send mine back because it was not turning (Father’s Day present)… key word “Gyroscopic” … thanks man! … I will see how useful this is for use in and under car dashboards.
Bought my dad for Xmas years ago a 4v removable battery Craftsman screwdriver and he loves it to this day. He says when he doesn’t need a 20v this does it.
I couldn't figure out what was wrong with mine until I watched this! Their Gyroscopic feature was not what I expected! Don't like it, but mine isn't broken after all. Thank you!!
@@toeshifter I'm not loving it actually! I find it to be quite annoying that I have to constantly move my whole hand and wrist to make it work, all while also having to hold down the button! HIGH aggravation factor when you are in perfect position!! I wish I could turn OFF the "gyroscope features!!" I would happily buy the same tool without it & donate this one. I keep using it because I like the power it has. May revert back to using my drill as a screwdriver on certain projects because of the aggravation moving my hand & wrist a lot just for full power
I was given this model year before last as a Christmas gift. I've had issues with the handle unlocking when folded so just be aware of that I don't know what's causing it if it's hand position or what but I do not like that. I use the device in the open position to minimize any issues of unlocking. being able to fold in a 90° angle is helpful for limited space but just be aware of it. Also I have not been impressed with the torque of the screwdriver it is limited. For light use around the house though is really save me some time due to a stroke. And I'm only 57 so it really does help.
First video I’ve watched of yours, can tell you’re a fellow RC addict by the fact that you have to have labels on your TQi transmitter. I know that struggle.😂
I hated the look of that recip when I first saw it, but that thing gets the mail. Dewalt just makes it too easy to wind up with a bunch of their stuff. I have both platforms, but the bigger batteries for dewalt are just cheaper. So even though I have some nice m18 tools, I still wind up wanting the same tool in dewalt.
Hi I have drill into hard surfaces to install a barrel bolt on awood door and the clamp housing it slides into to lock the door, on/into a hard metal door frame. Is this a power tool that you think this will do the job of drilling with a hard drill bit into the wood and the metal? If not what is a good recommendation for a under 50-100. drill tool. Thanks / great review / new sub > nyc
@@culturehorse I’d recommend you get the dewalt kit DCD708C2. It’s $99 at Home Depot and has a brushless drill with 2 batteries and a charger. Its a great drill and will do anything that a DIYer or homeowner would need it for and it’s really not even a bad drill for use on a job site doing construction. I wouldn’t go with black and decker, they’re honestly pretty bad and don’t have much power.

How can you pull the drill or the bit out so easily? I used it with a drill and it stuck in there, I can’t release it or change to anything else. So frustrated 😢
Available via Mister Worker, albeit they are in Italy. Takes about 8 weeks delivery. BUT, they did deliver, even with Brexit. Cute tool. Batteries might be awkward to source, but are available. Best
@@MrTom1379 Cool! I got one delivered £123 from Italy. 6&2threes, mine had the hard case + 2 batteries/charger, no bag and no bit holder. I'm just waiting for Ave to tear one down! TBH, I've looked over here UK and no luck. I do find that anything US is about 50%+ more expensive in UK... not in actual monetary, but in numerical value (ie $1=£1, so what you pay $100 in US for it's gonna be £150+ in UK - not $150+) Best

DeWalt should make the pistol-style driver with just a forward/reverse switch withOUT the gyroscopic feature!!!

Hello ... what would happen if a screw is too tight and you can't turn your hand to loosen it... how do you use the tool?
did you give the batterys a 24 hour charge. I have dewlts drill and impace. I have to give them a 24 hour charge.
I charged them until the charger said they were done. I don’t time it.
Can you screw overhead with it or does it need to be horizantal?

Odd, that guy usually spills constant positivity.
Yeah I know.

I’m not sure as I bought mine in a full kit. eBay is probably your best bet. Good luck on the search.
Not bad for driving a screw into what looks like oak even if pre drilled. Typically for that application I would go with an impact driver - any brand.
I had one of these and it was neat but I don't see why a gyro is better than pressing a trigger.
Seems like extra hand twisting to me.
The giro is good for variable speed use. Just about every other electric screwdriver out there is just on/off

Depends. If it put them in then it can get them out. It’s really just an electric screwdriver. I love it.
