I think it's ok if you have a drain outside where the water can go. If there's no drain and you have neighbors downstairs then you might not want to do that. Depending on the humidity, a lot of water can come out of the Aircon drainage pipe.
Hi, may i ask how do you get the installer to drill hole for drainage pipe from ac ledge to inside shower area? I asked my installer whether he can do it, but he said if he damage the hidden pipes inside he will not be hold responsible. Do your installer said similar things? Is it a risk worth taking?
@@johnckl2612 Our doors need to be trimmed because we overlayed our floor tiles and the floor height will be higher. We talked a bit about why in this video ua-cam.com/video/WrB_VPgNwes/v-deo.html :)
@@LivingwithSun think it largely depend on the team installing it. Had encountered both a good and a not so good team installing mine. The good one will have patience and discussed in detail all the best routing of the pipes and offered the professional advise. The bad one will simply said if you wanna run this way, any problem not their fault lol
I did plastered wall in my kitchen too but I left it raw. What I told the ID was to paint a coat of epoxy primer over the plastered wall so that the waterproofing is there. But since you already painted the wall, it's kind of pointless now.
@@LivingwithSun Hi, did the contractor simply plastered over the existing tiles? Any prep work needed to be done to the tile first? planning to do the same to my part of my toilet with existing tile instead of involving in the mess of hacking or retiling.
@@alanlimbl Hey! For the kitchen I believe they did some sort of cement screed on the tile and then painted over it. You are planning to do it in your bathroom at the dry areas?
@@LivingwithSun hI, yup planning to do a 3/4 height of overlaying new tiles on existing and plaster the upper half up and paint over. Just not quite convinced that the plaster will stick well onto existing glaze tile
Keep it coming!!
Thanks for the nice comment 😊
Is it possible to leave the aircon drainage pipe outside of the house without routing it back? Let the water drain outside

Hi, may I know what kind of toilet drain cover you are using at time 1.43?
Hi! I think if you search for "steel floor trap", you should be able to find something similar!

Our AC installer were there while our plumbers were there so our plumbers help to advise where it is safe to drill and reduce the risk.
The AC installer also drilled very slowly to make sure there are no pipes
Why the pipe trunking running on top instead of at bottom?
It goes from the top to the bottom
The drainage pipe going out to the aircon ledge and then coming back into the toilet, does it involves hacking?
Yes, need to hack a small hole in the wall for the drainage pipe.
@@LivingwithSun I think that’s not allowed for BTO right?
The hole is very small but yea still hacking so probably need to check with your ID. Ours is a resale flat
Hi. Would you be showing an end product of your doors after it’s painted?
Am looking to diy and just right I came across your video.
Hi! Yes, we will be posting what it looks like after painting. Still waiting for the doors to be trimmed first!

how much did it cost to screed the kitchen wall?
Hi! Our ID charged us $1.5K to screed the kitchen.
Hi. May I know is the aircon is from gan City? How the installation?
Yea it's from Gain City. Quite happy with the installation

how your ac now?
Still working fine!
Which false ceiling contractor did you go with?
Hi, I worked with an interior designer so we just used their contractors.

Aww.. that sounds like a good idea! Then my mum won't nag so much about the cleaning 😅 Maybe I can find a paint that's easy to clean...
@@LivingwithSun Glossy paint is the easiest to clean but you need to tahan the shininess of it lol 😅
