The trampoline in the parent's closet is an exercising trampoline! They're about 3 feet and are tough to bounce on. It's all tightened, so it works out your calves and whatnot!

Bro's my dad (Scott Wallin) was big time involved with and worked for Humongous Entertainment, along with Shelly and Ron Gilbert as cohorts in devising all this junk(of all that lucasarts glory), this, and all of the titles Dan typically is into, hit so fucking close to my literal home and heart that its insane. Walking around the offices as these games were made as a kid was literal heaven in a lot of ways. Its such a nostalgia timewarp im not sure how to handle it to be honest lol he'd love to talk to you guys i'm sure (i would too lol)

@@juliav8159 putt putt saves the zoo/goes to the moon were core media for my childhood lol. Freddie fish and the case of the missing kelp seeds too. All of those types of games hold a special place in my heart.

Arin's comment about game design is funny, because as a kid, this game always frustrated me because I couldn't figure out what to do. That perpetual quiet nighttime felt like purgatory.

The music for this game slaps. Some of it sounds like animal crossing, other parts are just classic chiptune style, and some spooky scary skeletons bop? Love it, charming as all heck.
This game was the only one in our computer lab in kindergarten. I never finished the game, but I named a teddy bear after it. Thank you Grumps for giving me a dose of childhood after a long day ❤️
This was the first video game I ever played as a kid. I'm so excited to see how much I remember and how much they'll ruin it (lovingly)
I love the idea of Fatty Bear finding a small tin of "Mommy's little helpers" under the kitchen sink and slowly becoming more and more belligerent and slurred throughout the rest of the game. The ending would include Fatty Bear finally succeeding at making the cake only for the girl to take one bite and immediately enter anaphylactic shock due to her chocolate allergy Fatty Bear completely forgot about because he was too snorked on 'ludes.
The epilogue is simply a silhouette of Fatty Bear's lifeless, stuffed body swinging from the shower curtain rod in the bathroom, his gentle spirit crushed by the inescapable memory of an innocent child's life forever snuffed out by a single moment of weakness. He knew he could never forgive himself, but when he saw the girl's face turn blue and the life drain from her eyes, he knew the only way to atone for the horror he had visited upon the girl's now shrieking, despondent parents was for her final breath to be his, as well.

I actually started screaming OUT LOUD when I saw this in my subscriptions. Fatty Bear is one my favorite games of all time, idgaf how much time passes. I'm SO happy.
Love watching them do these old point and click games. Art style's always interesting, and the pacing really gives them time to do some good commentary.
With lower fidelity stuff there's a lot of room for them to insert their own interpretations and jokes

This is one of my top three point and click games. I used to play this as a kid just about every month alongside Pajama Sam: Thunder and Lightning Aren't So Frightening. So excited to watch you make fun of and scream at my childhood. Good times.

I mean at one point we were getting 2-3 10 minute episodes a day
At least now we're getting 46 minuets to an hour episodes.
Bro they're not going to artificially extend how long it takes for them to do a one shot game. The one shot play throughs have always had a variety of runtimes.
Time spent on an episode is always highly variable. Sometimes it's 45 minutes, sometimes it's 30. If you look at the runtime of most episodes in the last couple of months, it's almost always over thirty minutes. Only for shorter games do they go under.
Every minute of these 90's kid's games unlock an old memory for me. It's such a weird feeling.
Games like this just give me a huge nostalgia feel for sitting on my Windows 95 at 10 years old trying to figure my way through Zoombinis !
That's another game I think they would get a kick out of playing.

This is a game that hits a very ancient part of my early childhood. It peels back time to a place without regret, guilt, hardship.
I feel so happy and pure just watching this... Game Grumps is a bonus.

Ever since I saw them play Freddi Fish on Steam Train so long ago, I’ve bugged my best friend about “I hOpE tHeY do FaTtY BeAR oNe DaY!¡” because I played this game almost every day for so long when I was 6-7-8, because I always loved decorating the cake.

This one is mostly new for me. We never got this Humongous Entertainment game localized in the Netherlands (during localization they skipped the Fatty Bear games, Putt-Putt Joins the Parade and Putt-Putt Goes To The Moon).

I was born in 1994, and this was one of the first games I ever played. I forgot it existed because putt putt and Sam took its place in my head. I still remember images, and this brought back so many weird little kid memories.
Thank you so much for playing this. This was my first childhood video game, and my memory of it got all blurred together with Putt-Putt. I had completely forgotten it was Fatty Bear and not Putt-Putt. Seeing this again made my week.
Putt-Putt and Pajama Sam were my favorite Humongous games growing up. Glad to see them hit this niche of nostalgia.

This game is absolutely terrifying for me. It came out the year I was born, the girl has the same name as me and I looked a lot like that as a kid. It's freaky and I never knew about this game as a kid.
Wow. Had zero recollection of this game until they got to the kitchen. For some reason the rabbit flying in and the inside of the fridge, combined with the music unlocked a memory that I have indeed played this game. Don't know where or when but I likely haven't thought about this game since the last time I played it. 🤯
Some of the reason for the Speed Racer dialogue is that the game was originally made without voice acting but the lipflaps weren't reanimated so I believe they had to keep the dialogue in time with the original lipflap animations
