Those 1970 Coronets painted up like LAPD cars look really neat, always been a fan of this show, it was very easy to tell Chrysler sponsorship was prevalent here however the first season and last season had new fords and Chevrolets became common by 1973.
Most of the Mannix cars were provided by Chrysler for promotional consideration except the first year he used an Olds Toro and the last year or so when I think he used an Impala convertible. Most people know that the '72 Cuda he's driving is actually a '71 from the previous season with the front and rear changed to make it look like a '72 as they dropped the convertible in 1972. It was a 383 car painted the 'Mannix green' for consistency. Those cars were really BEAT. I had a chance to see some of the Mannix 'Cuda's in the mid-'80's in L.A. and they were ROUGH. Some guy bought one and turned it into a 'Hemi 'Cuda' clone. Basically, just the 'back half' of the car if you ever saw the ending with that cars demise.
@vincemajestyk9497 This is a '70 'Cuda from season four episode 12. The 'Cuda you're referring to wasn't used until the sixth season, according to IMCD. www.imcdb.org/vehicle_1040754-Plymouth--Cuda-1970.html
@@CarChaseWonderland2 Yup, you are correct! Didn't watch it close enough and just thought it was the one from a later episode. I thought this was an episode after the '71 for some reason.
It was in heavy rotation on MeTV about 4-5 years ago in the late evening early am timeslot. I used to keep the TV on in the background while I worked and I think they showed the whole series like 3 times before they swapped it out. One of those other channels that's now gone had a 'weekend binge' back then too. Decades or something like that.
@@vincemajestyk9497 Ill have to check it out on some of the places I stream at. I havent had TV in about 15 years + now. I been re watching Rockford files and Adam 12 lately .

I love how they subbed in a different door close sound for the cuda everytime. Those E body doors sound horrible every time they close.

1:56 That looks like the New York street set at a studio but all the cars have California plates.
1:29 I think you can see the camera or boom mans reflection in the paint on the roof back pillar panel.
In the reflection Looks like half of the windshield is missing
At 1:27 mark whoa that's too risky mike 😅.
Boy, shooting DAY_FOR_NIGHT has always really sucked hasn't it ?
I wonder if that great 'Cuda still exists.
Run the California plate on it and see.
