If you have ever driven cars like that, you have to love the way you could slide them around corners. A neighbor was selling his 90 year old Mom's 1970 Belvedere 4 door once and he let me take it out for a drive. That thing handled great and just slid around corners when you turned into them. That one had a 318 in it. My Grandfather had a 67 Fury III 4 door with a 383 in it, then got a pair of Newports later on, a 70 and then a 72, both had 440's in them, although the 70 had more guts because that was before they started smogging the motors. My favorite car to screw around with when I was 18-19 in 1994 and 1995 and I had a 71 Dart Swinger with a 318. Loved that car.
yep, I have a 1950 ford sedan, every turn the whole body just rolls haha
The '64 Galaxie 500 is a 4 door hardtop, interesting to see what the production companies would grab off the used car lots and paint up as police cars back in those days.
If you look at the cars in the background when the galaxie is racing down the street I think it's a bit of stock footage from the 1960s. There's no 70s cars visible
@@stephennolan2250 that's a good observation
another thing to note is at 5:12 the "siren" on top is just a dummy, the hole on the front is closed up
Man, I love this ,such a modern day western, and these cars, whales nowadays, but hey 455 cubes ,leaf springs n drum brakes at full tether ,plus telly, has to make a story riveting 😊
3:17 - Nothing says 70s TV like smashing into a randomly placed big pile of boxes for dramatic effect. 🤣
I LOVE THIS CHANNEL. CAR CHASES AND GIRLS WITH MACHINE GUNS. CAN IT GET ANY BETTER.
The shots fired to bra ratio in the video is perfectly balanced.
01:50 officer calls in car description and waves his partner to follow - with ACCIDENTAL GUN FIRING AT PARTNER :D :D :D !!!
And looks like the one crooks threw an ammo can of .30 cal ball round out the window at the coppers.
Actually if you look closely and slow the video down, its actually the partner firing at the Satellite, the officer never shot at his partner.
Harvey Keitel !
That first NYPD RMP definitely died out pulling that ebrake u turn lol
The ever present pile of empty boxes in the warehouse district...always getting in the way.
No wind that day.
Harvey Keitel as one of the bad guys. Kojak has some good future famous actors/actresses in the series. Plymouth Fury was the NYPD patrol car in its hey day in NYC. Chrysler had contracted with the city to built these patrol cars for many years until GM and now Ford.
I'll let you know how many dislikes this video gets because of a make believe cop getting shot with make believe bullets by make believe crooks.
💍💍💍💍
And I thought I saw a cop down the stairs fired a gun to a cop upstairs? 🤔
@@michelsaarloos4392Yeah you are mistaken, it was the partner upstairs firing. Move it to slow mo you’ll see
They were all over the place with their cop cars from the '60's to the '70's of all makes.
Watching this ,who needs cable got wifi
That Nostrand ave address would be around Sheepshead Bay part of Brooklyn aka Crooklyn
That '72 Fury also appeared in the movie 'Cops & Robbers'. Recognise it from the police number, which matches. Changing the subject a bit one car featured but not mentioned is the unmarked police '73 Plymouth Fury.
Who loves you Baby Kojak Classic TV Series Need more Clips CCW2 it is filled up with Goofs and Bloopers Good Stuff
Was it intentional for them to not close the doors on that Econoline properly?!
At least, no cars were destroyed
1968 Fairlane looks very weird as a police car
Love ya baby....
Hmm... the mid 70s was so bad that no one picked up all of the paper left on the street and the worst part is our cop cars took forever to arrive at the crime scene.
Kojak's car is a 74
This clip is from season 1 episode 1 which aired in 1973 so I don't think so.
Buick Century. That's his signature car throughout the series. Drove a Fury in the made for tv movie.

Nostrand Ave is in Brooklyn not Manhattan.
