Kaylee...darling...my liver cannot handle a shot every time you say "further down the list" in a 48 min video LOL MASSIVE amounts of love for the effort put into this and all your videos!!
I would love a sansevieria rare plant index. I know poor snake plant is probably not the most sought after species but I love there is quite a bit of variation and you know it won't die on you.
Yes! I literally just learned about caladiums today, and I am well into them already. Looking at pics of the Caladium Aaron, I like how it seems to be a mostly white leaf (concentrated around the veining), but with a heavy application of the dark green grunge filter at the edges 😃 I think some photos I’m seeing are slightly different, possibly a different version called “Fancy Aaron”, which looks a lot more green but with bright white lightning bolt type starbursts on the leaves 🤩 I think this is just one pretty common kind, so I’m definitely interested in the Kaylee deep-dive to explore it more :)
I have a large Wendlandii. They don't lose the silver entirely as they mature. It just reduces to a single stripe in the middle of the leaf. Also the Rayii has small and very dark leaves and produces a lot of runners. After having them for so long, their leaves haven't changed shape with maturation.
Suggestion for category: YOUR Rare Plant index. Rare plants that you yourself absolutely love and want but are hard to get or find or that you just haven't gotten yet for some reason. Thank you for the video, love these!🤍
The rayii’s coloring is reminiscent of p campo’s. The wendlandii will always come out green. Rayii is kind of luminescent. In certain angles, it’ll be brown, lime green, dark green, or orange. 🥰
There are so many more syngonium that it may be time to do another! T25, T24, pink spot, renoir, macrophyllum, pink spot, angustatum, Christmas, freckles, pink flecked, and some more common ones like maria allusion or mango allusion)
Trying to learn about syngonium and this philodendron in the back is all I can look at !! She is gorgeous 😍 and keep up the amazing content Kaylee I look forward to your videos every week 💕
My heart broke when you hated on the Chiapense, hahaha. In real life, the leaves are so thick and pillowy, but they definitely aren't as exciting as some of the others. If you like the larger, paddle-shaped leaves and a frosty look, you might enjoy Caladium "White Christmas".
@@AliNeisy Agreed! Also, I find it really hard to keep clear in my mind which plants are which out of these, and how they’re related… I just created a section in my plants Pinterest board “Pothos & friends” 😆
My appreciation for Syngonium is growing as time goes on. I see them almost like a cheaper, easier access philodendron. They check a lot of the same boxes for me. No! You don’t like the chiapense. I love mine so much. The texture is what sells them honestly. They feel like silicone adult toys... it’s crazy lol
THANK YOU Kaylee for giving so much time and info the the plant community! You are propagating your PASSION for plants in a way that everyone can enjoy. All the time you take to put those videos out in such a profesionnal way is very appreciated. I have been following your chanel for a hole year now and I genuinely feel compelled to tell you how impressed I am with the work you are putting in. I'm looking foward to learning more threw this chanel. :) xx
My large regular old syngonium podophyllum that I’ve had for 10 years puts out all kinds of variegated leaves. It’s like having a white butterfly, 3 kings, holly, moonlight and some others (never pink though) in one plant. It also grows fast and propagates so easily. It’s a great plant. Seriously, get this cheap common plant, and you may not need to collect as many uncommon varieties.
Yesssss my attitude as well. And I picked up a Maria/bronze allusion or maybe it’s a plum and it gives kit a wide variety of colours from khaki, copper, reddish, green with pink veins, etc.
A large part is because these plants are super easy to hybridise. There are many variations/hybrids available here in Australia for the terrarium trade and wouldn't be suprised other countries have thier own hybrids too.
I’m a syngonium collector and My Scrambled Egg just came in a few days ago. I have most of these on the list but this one if my pride and joy.😊 I can’t even believe I found one at such a great price.
The Red Spot Tricolor is pretty strong, but if you keep cutting the mother plant, it will revert back into a regular Pink Splash. It apparently was originally from Japan, then went to Thailand, then went to Russia and the EU. Shipping stress will cause it to green for a few leaves, but then will grow back. I'm sure you'll find a nice one since you're in the EU. The Milk Confetti is also originally from Thailand. The way you can tell the difference between a Milk Confetti and a regular Confetti is by looking at the edges of the leaf: if there's dark green, it's a regular confetti. It also has white petiolar sheaths, while the regular Confetti has light green.
I slept on Syngoniums since i didn't love the common ones but now I have a albo, chiapense, wendlandii and three kings and I looove them, once established they grow and propagate so well and I love watching the leaf shape change as they mature
I thoroughly enjoyed this. I love Syngoniums and feel that they are underrated. I just got a pink splash yesterday.....it’s so beautiful. You can do a Epipremnum rare index....don’t know how rare it will be but it may be cool.
If she goes outside of the standard pothos types there is quite a few available on the market that would make it a short list, but worthwhile as some are plants people aren't aware of. (I have a huge collection of Epipremnum from Aureum, Pinatum and Amplissimum and they're all gorgeous - though we are missing a few like the 'Godzillia' shangra la and varigated Amplissimum but one day.😊)
I have the Syngonium "Orm Nak" and I will say that they are really glossy and the color is a mix of deep red and a bit of pink. I was waiting for Kaylee to show The Syngonium "Godzilla". In my opinion, this Syngoinium grows terribly slow almost similar to a sleeping pothos (but slower).
First, I absolutely looove your makeup, that eyeshadow look is bomb and your outfit Always matches💜 And also that deep voice effect is amazing and it adds so much to the video, your hard work really shows👍
I’m waiting patiently for a scindapsus rate plant index! There’s so many new species coming to market and not a lot of people know about/talk about it!
From where I’m from, The syngo batik and wendlandii, are basically you could find wildly grow around the neighbors, when I was a little. Happy that it included in the list 😀
All the mottled green/pale green syngoniums are weeds here in Australia. I believe our rarest/most $$ are the all pink one and frosted heart, red spot, and of course strawberry. The velvet leaf ones are very common too, but less weedy and very pretty. Chiapense is the most underrated, most stunning syngonium - the leaf texture is like butter, big heart shaped leaves. I strongly recommend this above all others, with red arrow being second on the list. :)
Love the video. The Rayii looks like Wendslanii but behaves different. Rayii has been used as a terrarium plant in reptile enclosures, because it starts smaller. It actually sends out very long runners/tendrils like a Hoya.
Im a fan from Philippines. You're so pretty and that gloriosum at the back..wow!!! I am a beginner in plants and i am learning a lot from your vids specially on plant index. I have a sygonium that i thought is a wendladii, now i know that its a rayii and falls under very rare, amazing!! Also, the white line in the middle of rayii does not fade even if the leaves get matured.
I keep coming back to this video, for a simple reason it is the most visually pleasing setting I've seen on your channel. Giant Gloriosum matches perfectly with your outfit and warm tones of your make up. The lipstick, the neutral shirt, the warm eyeshadow and that gorgeous green leaves. Idk, it just brings me joy to see all these colors matching each other :)
Love this! Hoya and philodendron are my main passions, but there's always room for more plants on my wish list. A video on aglaonema would be awesome though!
I got my syngonium rayii from a local terrarium keeper who was trimming a tank and selling cuttings on a local Facebook page! I was so happy at the size of the cuttings too, such a lucky find
At 09:25 - Batik - Bah-teek. It's a fabric dying process similar to tie-dying. The fabric is masked with a wax, then the wax is cracked to let dye get into those parts of the fabric. It was popular with hippies. That cultivar really does look like it was batiked. I had pants with that pattern once.
Are you sure the "Magic Marble" has reverted? Syngonium are kind of known for having wildly unpredictable leaf patterning variations. I have several common ones and on the same plant I will have super pale leaves, to really dark almost full green, to ones that have lots of marble, and it's completely random all the time.
Agreed, magic marble has a tendency to get leaves that are all different as far as variegation. Mine will sometimes pop out a nearly completely green leaf, and then the next one is splashier than all the others with no change of conditions. That's kind of the appeal of them, each leaf is kind of like a adventure. A mystery box plant
Ooh I finally have a rare on your rares list! I own a syngonium rayii (ray-ee-eye) and the difference from the wendlandii is size. The rayii stays more compact with small leaves while the wendlandii is much larger. The rayii also seems to branch more, while the wendlandii appears to have a predominantly vining habit. In the US I have found the rayii easier to obtain recently than the wendlandii. If you find one of these sexy, but can only get the other, you will probably enjoy it just as much.
Don't judge but this video came out a couple days ago and I'm currently on my 5th viewing. Syngoniums are one of my ABSOLUTE favourite genus of plants. I have been waiting for this video for soooooo long! When I got the notification I literally screamed like I was going to Disney World lol
I LOVE YOUR VIDEOS! Every single time !!! The Syngonium Rare Plant Index!!! Finally! Yay!! Never rush these videos, cuz girl! Everyone be waiting on you to put them out! I’ve watched this one a few times already and started watching your older Rare Plant Indexes !!!
I would love an Epipremnum rare plant index! There’s a ton of unidentified species coming out like the ‘mutant manjula’ and the teruno varieties! I know most people think of golden pothos when they think epipremnum but there’s a lot more to them and people tend to look over them! Btw love your videos 😊
My syngonium batik really loves brighter spot to keep her spot all out, the name of batik is adopted by the various pattern of the real batik in Java. This is why our native people simply call it syngonium batik. Kinda love the under side of syngonium red arrow, it's so something. I decided to have this one and it goes trailing.
How funny that some of them on the uncommon list are very common here and easy to get in Australia (Perth) like the syngonium white butterfly and the green tri-leaf but the syngonium panda is rare, pricey and hard to find. I also find it hard to tell the difference between the first one you showed, the batik and white butterfly as they all look the same to me 😅 but I swear have some at home that look similar to those. Love syngoniums I grow most of mine in hydro as they grow like crazy in water and I love how they propagate so easily by growing roots within a few days! 😍
The first syngonium I owned was the moonlight/moonshine, I still own it, and it is sooooo beautiful and easy to care after. Luckily I purchased it before Kelly made this plant index, it will finally take some value 😂
Wow just when I thought I knew plants and the rare ones available, Kaylee comes along and 🤯! I so want that pink and white one, the red one, the milky confetti and the gray ghost 🥰!
I loved this video!! My favorite syngoniums are my Starlite and Erythrophyllum! I would add Lanceleaf to your list too if you make additions in the future. I’d love to see a Ficus Rare Plant index!
There's another rare syngonium that you might like, as far as I know it's only sold by Gabriella plants here in the United States but it's called syngonium green on green variegation. It's kind of a weird one because it'll pop out some albo leaves, and then pop out a couple that are neon green on dark green. It's the coolest looking thing. I have one and it's probably my favorite plant. Super quirky
I have the batik! And I LIVE!! I also got a wendlandii, but I’m not really familiar with the rayii, currently I have 2 wendlandii and they grow like crazy! It’s very very easy to get cuttings
A quick one on the chiapense . . . It really isnt much like a juvenile monstera if you get a happy looking one, which the one in your image isnt. I'd be happy to send you a few photos of the ones I have, some growing up trees in the ground and others in pots up sticks . . . I live in Goa so I have mainly outdoor plants. You should take another look at this species . . . Waxy leaves, admittedly quite philodendron vibes, grows well even without too much care, leaves grow quite large and a nice growing habit. If you have a good size moss pole this is a top plant for creating rainforest vibes in your home for sure.
Hi Kaylee! I really appreciate you doing a Syngonium RPI, they're one of my fav's, probably because of how easy they are to care for and so many varieties. Anyway, thanks for the time it takes to do these vids, I love your energy and your makeup is always on point! Be blessed!!😇
I think that we have the exact opposite taste in syngoniums. Chiapense os one of my faves and I am not a fan of the pink ones. Interestingly, here in Australia, many of these are quite accessible and not expencive. Great video, Im loving your newer content in tue new studio. That Gloriosum is pure plant porn!!!
Kaylee, sending luv from Chicago! Maybe try a blue plant index, silver plant index, Tradescantia Index? Check out Tradescantia Variegated Sillamontana. I enjoyed all your plant index in this series!!🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤
So glad to have this index! I feel like people have been buying Syngoniums at higher prices just because they don't know how available they are/aren't and they just assume it's a rare plant based on looks.

I Love lux! I also instantly thought kaylees been watching luxeria vids. The voice effect to exaggerate the point is so iconic :) the accent drives it home though
SYNGONIUM, YUSSSSSSSS!!! Edit: my only trouble with syngoniums is sometimes the younger ones decide to get root rot on me for seemingly no reason. They're generally really easy, happy, and tolerant which is why the random rot is so infuriating :S
Love your rare plant indexes! I have a challenge for you: Rare plant index of Ficus. I know that's not your cup of tea, but you might be surprised in researching it.
I love my Milk Confetti! I really appreciate the milky leaves. I don’t like the strawberry ice either. A lot of the foliage just looks muddy after a while.
I'm here watching much later than this came out and I found myself a cute little a Holly in a walmart a few weeks back. I'm with ya Kaylee, its pretty sweet looking. I'm super excited to watch it grow
The pro and con of syngonium is that is an ever changing plant- the plug of it looks very different from the teenage form and from the adult form. The thing is most people don’t know that all syngoniums will grow to be looking like the trileaf one but with 5 leafs. It is amazing to see it grow and really change
LOL!!! Drinking game!! I LOVE so much about you!!! Your accent, your knowledge, the sharing of your knowledge, of course your love of plants AND your videos are always so fun :D
The rayii is much darker and more velvety in person compared to the wendlandii. The stripe is also more shimmery and often thinner. I have the wendlandii and have seen the rayii (too pricey to buy), and it’s not easy to differentiate them from pictures, but irl, they are quite different from each other! The rayii also has a reflective quality? Kind of like a begonia! The rayii is like a goth version of the wendlandii imo. Great video btw! Love this series.
The golden venation is the only syngonium i own! I’ve never seen or heard anyone talk about it before 😆 i just found it in a rare plant shop like 1,5 year ago and got it bcs i liked it!
I ordered a Pink Splash today and I'm so excited! I almost have half of uncommon and don't like half of uncommon. Thank you for this index, I love this series!
I think the reason why the syngonium aurea is not quite popular as the albo, is because of the price. I would love to own one, but if I have to pay double the price just because its yellow instead of white, then I'm good 😂 And also most people know that syngoniums are pretty easy to grow and propagate, so there's no reason (to me at least) why the aurea is more expensive than the albo. Same with the monstera btw
Its usually more expensive when growers aren't growing it due to low demand - but interest is suddenly on the rise. I.e the plant is now more valuable but nobody prepared for it and growers don't have anywhere near enough of it.
🤔 I totally get what you're saying, and I think it's also a big factor. I think it might really be the fact that growers were not prepared for the hype, because I see the yellow variegation quite often and people are looking for it, but it's really pricey, I don't know, maybe it's just a culture thing and we as german just don't like to splurge so much money on things like the Americans maybe? I really don't know 😅 I just hope that prices will come down in the next year or two, because I would love to own a syngonium aurea as well as the monstera aurea 😁 For now I'll stick to my albo ones 😊
Yes yes yesss! Finally syngoniums ♥️♥️♥️🍀🍀🍀😍😍😍 my favourite plants, I have a lot of them! Syngoniums such as the Holly, confetti, albo and three kings & such do need more light, when they have more light, they'll push out more lighter leaves/ varigation again! If an albo shoots out green leaves, just cut those off, back to where the varigation was. As you mentioned, they're fast growers.
I went from 0 to 2 today (confetti and albo). Both are currently available at our big box stores in Australia but unfortunately the store decided they wouldn’t come to my state (Victoria) so I had to buy smaller/more expensive.
I loved this so much! I have to admit I got excited when you said you didn’t like something because I knew I was going to love it 🤣 Especially the Strawberry Ice 🍓 I now have a list of Syngoniums I must have! Keep up the great vids 🪴
Rayii is darker than wendlandii and the stripe on the Rayii is a little bit green (especially when you look on the back of the leaf) :) I actually got a Rayii Cutting for 6€ here in Germany. Luck oder not that rare here?

The rayii stays more compact with small leaves while the wendlandii is much larger. The rayii also seems to branch more, while the wendlandii appears to have a predominantly vining habit. In the US I have found the rayii easier to obtain recently than the wendlandii. If you find one of these sexy, but can only get the other, you will probably enjoy it just as much.
Don't judge but this video came out a couple days ago and I'm currently on my 5th viewing. Syngoniums are one of my ABSOLUTE favourite genus of plants. I have been waiting for this video for soooooo long! When I got the notification I literally screamed like I was going to Disney World lol
.. 😅😅
This is my favourite series on UA-cam. It’s so informative and interesting and I always walk away with new wish list plants!
I have a syngonium emerald gem and it is so beautiful! It is so classic with the green and arrow shape! I love it so much!
Same! But expanded from Aureums - Australia has quite a few native ones that are common house plants that can be super pretty!
The majority of the Strawberry Shake leaves look like rotten meat, it literally looks like the minecraft rotten flesh I wont lie
I agree with you! I don't get it.
Hahahahhaa yes
I call the shade “Grandma panties with holes”
It's strawberry ice
In LOVE with the subtle veining on the Frosted Heart! Almost spider like🖤🖤🖤
My syngonium batik really loves brighter spot to keep her spot all out, the name of batik is adopted by the various pattern of the real batik in Java. This is why our native people simply call it syngonium batik.
Kinda love the under side of syngonium red arrow, it's so something. I decided to have this one and it goes trailing.
The pink on the Syngoniums remind me of pepto bismol, and I just can't get past it. 🤦🙄😆
I'm glad your back with this, and with my favorite Syngonium varieties! With that lovely Gloriosum at the back, is PERFECT!
I can tell you've been watching Luxeria now especially because the editing, Love both you two :)
The syngonium aurea is soooo pretty i 100% agree with you. Stunning varigation!!!
Starlite or T25 is a mini too and has tons of white in it. It doesn’t seem to revert too!
I have the batik! And I LIVE!!
I also got a wendlandii, but I’m not really familiar with the rayii, currently I have 2 wendlandii and they grow like crazy! It’s very very easy to get cuttings
Yesss! I had a three leaf rooted plant, it had like twelve nodes on it! Chopped it up and now I’m growing a bush of wendlandii
Thank you for being so dedicated, Kaylee!! 🌱
The best part of my day is when Kaylee uploads
So glad to have this index! I feel like people have been buying Syngoniums at higher prices just because they don't know how available they are/aren't and they just assume it's a rare plant based on looks.
Really enjoyed this RPI.
lot's of affordable beauties.
Next RPI: Aglaonema please.
The only syngonium I ever enjoyed having was the albo. But after watching this video, I kind of want them all-even the common ones!
First she did a shout out to Luxeria and now she’s doing voice change in her video too. Imagine if there could be a collab! ❤️
I'd die for a collab!! ♥️ Im obsessed with that woman
@@KayleeEllenOfficial Imagine the epic-ness of Kaylee Ellen doing a Beauty Horror Story video and Luxeria doing a Rare Plant Index video! Please universe make it happen!
I also NEED her to do my makeup!
They’re both so dope lol so interesting how two seemingly unrelated channels have so many viewers in common!
I Love lux! I also instantly thought kaylees been watching luxeria vids. The voice effect to exaggerate the point is so iconic :) the accent drives it home though
I added the frosted jeart, she was a little harder to get, but loving her. The fun is finding what you like. I love these videos for her info.
I live for these rare plant index videos!
Syngonium red arrow, milk confetti, albo and red spot are lovely. My heart bled when you hated on the trileaf wonder 😅 i loved the video.
Fantastic as always. Look forward to this every week!!!
My life is complete because of THIS video!!! Thank you!!!
I'm here watching much later than this came out and I found myself a cute little a Holly in a walmart a few weeks back. I'm with ya Kaylee, its pretty sweet looking. I'm super excited to watch it grow
Hah that scrambled eggs name is hilarious and almost makes me want that Syngonium for that reason alone. I really love that red spot tricolor too.
I have a few and everytime I tell people the name, they laugh.
Your accent, your knowledge, the sharing of your knowledge, of course your love of plants AND your videos are always so fun :D
thank you for another great video. love the gloriosum in the back .
My favorite videos
The rayii is much darker and more velvety in person compared to the wendlandii. The stripe is also more shimmery and often thinner. I have the wendlandii and have seen the rayii (too pricey to buy), and it’s not easy to differentiate them from pictures, but irl, they are quite different from each other! The rayii also has a reflective quality? Kind of like a begonia!
The rayii is like a goth version of the wendlandii imo.
Great video btw! Love this series.
i was searching for this comment 🤓 thank you for clarifying 😊
syngonium are just the best and such reliable growers
The golden venation is the only syngonium i own! I’ve never seen or heard anyone talk about it before 😆 i just found it in a rare plant shop like 1,5 year ago and got it bcs i liked it!
I ordered a Pink Splash today and I'm so excited! I almost have half of uncommon and don't like half of uncommon.
Thank you for this index, I love this series!
Love these Rare Plant Index videos, would love it if you did one on Pothos!!! Please 🙏😊🌱
I think the reason why the syngonium aurea is not quite popular as the albo, is because of the price. I would love to own one, but if I have to pay double the price just because its yellow instead of white, then I'm good 😂
And also most people know that syngoniums are pretty easy to grow and propagate, so there's no reason (to me at least) why the aurea is more expensive than the albo.
I really don't know 😅
I just hope that prices will come down in the next year or two, because I would love to own a syngonium aurea as well as the monstera aurea 😁
For now I'll stick to my albo ones 😊
Don’t lack!! I love the rare plant index!! Make more please 🥲🥲
I loved this so much! I have to admit I got excited when you said you didn’t like something because I knew I was going to love it 🤣 Especially the Strawberry Ice 🍓 I now have a list of Syngoniums I must have! Keep up the great vids 🪴
Kaylee, you missed Syngonium godzilla 👀 I could easily send you the pictures of mine 📸
I had a syngonium 'mini pixie' and it is TINY. I'm talking fingernail-sized leaves. thrips went to town on it but it was so cute while it lasted
Rayii is darker than wendlandii and the stripe on the Rayii is a little bit green (especially when you look on the back of the leaf) :) I actually got a Rayii Cutting for 6€ here in Germany. Luck oder not that rare here?
Luck I'd say. I can't get one in Czech Republic 😅
