Ben…you got that description wrong about this PHEV. Unlike the GLE450e which doesn't feel as quick as the 450 much less 580, this 50e is MUCH quicker than the 40i. Car and Driver timed 3.9 secs vs…4.8
My theory why BMW doesn't go full hybrid is image. Most people buy a hybrid for fuel economy. You're not worried about the cost of gas if you're buying a BMW. If you want to save the planet, buy a BMW EV.

X5 PHEV has huge issues on electrical system. Look it up. Dont buy this model until maybe next gen.
