    Im using it since a year now and annealed thousands of cases. This is a masterpiece ! Absolutly repeatable, made of high quality materials and done with passion.

    I didn't buy an ugly but helped a mate set his up recently. The machine was easy but steady gas heat regulation was a bit tricky. We annealed a few kilograms of 308 brass in under two hours mesmerized by watching consistent results and how predictable the heat zone was. Tips# 1. Observe the plum red glow inside the neck of the case. 2. Clean, oil free cases don't get the rainbow colour change, just straw is good. 3. Go out and buy your own.

    I bought one after reviewing several videos of this annealer and its competitors. I do not regret it. Easy to set up, easy to use. I bought Tempilaq to show the correct temp. Just note, buy a torch that fits your region. I got a Benzomatic torch head, its fitted for Anerican threaded gas containers. Hard to get for me as I currently live in Germany, but I found a US to EU adapter on Amazon. Works great.

    Just got one of these and put it together this morning - pretty easy - 2 screws on the bottom plate wouldn’t go in due to threads not properly put in so I’ll use it without those 2 as the bottom plate is solid - the on/off switch could be larger - guys tend to have bigger fat fingers - I love how solid and rugged it is - the solid billet wheels, one with rough surface, the inserts, the adjustments, the front plastic plate, the handle on top - all nice finishes and all solid as a rock… the operation is nice and smooth and works like a rippa - now all i have to do is buy a bottle of gas and get annealing!! :D

      sorry about the hassle. The problem would be solved if you clear the thread with a M4 tap. We have noticed this issue and told our assembly worker to re-inspect these holes again.

    I bought one for myself as a birthday gift. Australia Post took the scenic route to deliver it, 8 days to travel 120km.
    Great unit. I have run through a couple of hundred in toying around with it, all 223.
    A+ for customer service from Fei Cheng when I asked questions.

    I've had my Ugly annealing machine for a few months and I'm really happy with it. It's a great design and works well with all calibres except for a minor issue with Martini Henry and Snider cases (without insert). I have to place them individually on the feeder. The mechanism jams if more than one case is in the hopper.
    It's not a big problem as I sit at the bench monitoring the process anyway.

    I purchased one, which arrived 4 days ago. Its a well designed and made machine and worth the money, BUT I have one major issue with it. I cannot get the tip of the blue flame to touch the case neck/shoulder junction with the integral clamp on rod system. Forget the stand alone thing as its too flimsy. The stainless rod that mounts to the machine dosnt put the clamp close enough to get the blue tip of the flame where its needed and is a problem. Ive been to BOC to try and find a nozzle and stem that will get closer. I just ended up buying the same setup you have in video but now using the yellow disposable bottle. For a temporary fix I cut a 7RM case in halve and used that as a sleeve over the nozzle stem so it could be adjusted closer to the brass and still use the clamp. Is it perfect, NO, but it works. The clamp arrangement does require re-engineering. If you remedied this it would be perfect

    • @feicheng6606
      @feicheng6606  3 роки тому +2

      thank you for comment. The clamp was designed for Bernzomatic UL2317 or UL100TK or their rip-offs. For other brands of incompatible nozzles, it is best to use the gas bottle stand. There are many brands on the market. we are not able to make the clamp adaptable for all brands. You can get Bernzomatic UL100TK from sydney tools, total tools, or Reece easily.

      I talked to two metallurgical engineers and they dont believe on the templaq thing. There is no so called over annealing. The metal composition wont change until at melting temperature. slight red hot wont harm your brass at all! 450C will only anneal your brass if you keep that temperature for long time like hours. Couple of seconds on 450C will just cause under anneal. with only one torch heating brass, it is really not easy to "over anneal" your brass on our annealer.
      conclusion: feel free to burn your brass a bit hotter.

    I still can't get 223 to run good without putting too much heat on that rod. The rod that holds the brass. Hope this is OK. Because I can't do anything about it. 223 is short.

    • @feicheng6606
      @feicheng6606  2 роки тому +2

      You can adjust the rod by loosening the screw from left side hole. You can use thinner rotation wheel if you like. 223 is well tested by us. fiddle a bit more and you will be able to run it smooth.

    • @garrytalley8009

      No other machines come with inserts for different cases like this one does. A lot do not have metal wheels especially with diamond dust for keeping the brass from slipping when rotating. They are not all made alike. Similar yes. Same no and many things are patent pending not that a patent will even come about. This machine is unique in its own way. Enough that I am going to purchase one. It is more diverse than any others I have researched. I have a lot of rifles in different calibers and this one comes with everything to do them without having to buy extra parts.
