My dad always played this song. He’d blast it from his laptop in his room and replay it over and over. He’s been dead five years now, and it’s still a teenage hope of mine to see him again and say everything that I can’t now.
mate. you never know how much of an impact one song can have to your life. my parents got me my first ipod when i was a kid and it had a few music videos that i could watch on it. this song was one of them and i used to watch it in bed before id go to sleep. years and years later when i cant sleep i find myself singing this song in my head to make me fall asleep
Every time I hear this I think about the girl who broke my heart. Only one to date. Although the list a whole lot longer, just never hurt like that again thank god. But back then I used to feel like it was meant for me in some grand scheme, and maybe she was hurt and thinking about me too listening to it. I don't have any of those misconceptions anymore. Just a song they used to sell phone while she dates some obese dude with crazy straws in his hair. What an melancholic feeling this song conjures though.
I wanna cry everytime I hear this song. Saw the music video every morning on TV and heard the song everyday at school. Teenager years are just the years we never forget because we love, we hurt, we hate, and our friends are gone now.
Lord have mercy! If this song is from 2007 and you’re using the word “nostalgia” … just wait till you’ve grown up - then you might have a better idea what nostalgia means!😂
I'd like you to know that what feist did here in one song and video took Madonna Britney Beyonce and more a whole career to achieve!! When listening to her lyrics again and synchronization with her video in which she shows you how to align your thoughts feelings and emotions with your chakras! Hence the rainbow colours and why she is the only one in electrical blue and Is also the sound or voice or frequency chakra hence the song. She expressed her very being in one song. Wisdom personified... No need for external game when you can do that! 💚
One of my favorite videos of ALL TIME!! Gives me the chills when I watch, and makes me want to dance!! Feist has the most brilliant videos!! Beautiful voice, woman and oh the dance moves AND jump suit!!

I love how they chose to do the sound in this video. The song isn't just dubbed over everything. Her singing along with the echoing in the room and the people's voices give intermingle with each other and the result is a much livelier sound.
EASILY, ONE OF THE BEST MUSIC VIDEOS EVER MADE. 1. This was all shot with one single continuous camera. 2. The angles, pull backs, close ups, we’re all spectacularly brilliant. 3. The song was upbeat, fun, catchy and makes you want to move and dance. 4. Feist is a beautiful Knock-out and you can’t take your eyes off her. Bravo FEIST, 👏 Bravo!

I have been looking for this song for 2 years because i remembered it from when I was little I would watch it everyday and finally I FOUND IT!!!! I'm so happy
I was four when this was on sesame street and I would watch the episode every morning with My mom while I ate fried eggs. Just recently looked up the original, Its my new favorite song.

Then I forgot what the song was but I always had the memory of the music video in my head. Finally I hear the song again and am able to put the two together :)

I came here tonight because I can't stop thinking, humming, and singing this song! Shout out to this man I just met who introduced me to this song, he plays piano and I play guitar, we learned the chords and jammed to this. i have a deep connection with this song. back when i was a little kid, in the worst parts of the great recession, i would go along with my mom some days after school to get "groceries" down at the dollar store and wash our clothes in the laundromat. i remember we would have to do several loads because we lived with so many people back home. this song would always play in the dollar store as i would ask for one of those crappy plastic toys you see or put some off-brand cereal in the shopping cart, maybe a small box of those cheap snickerdoodles in the back. the food would always run out before the end of the week, but going there was a nice repreive, to know that there would be food again. it was a terrible time but this song playing faintly in the background made it a little more bearable. so thank you for making this song. i'll always associate it with that time, both for better and worse

I love this song. It remainds me, when I lived in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada from 2006 to 2008 . Feist was at BC Day celebrations 2008. I was at her concert and it was amazing.
I heard this song playing in a boutique in a country town ,while on a vacation .i asked who it was .They told me the name and the album, so i came here looking for it. .I don't recall hearing it years ago....beautiful song
Can relate . . . been with my husband since 2006, married in 2012 and had two kids, daughter in 2010 & son in 2020. Approaching 16 years and can feel it. Relationships take work, marriage/parenting alike. But yes, enjoy it all - soak it up.
You know when you wake up certain mornings with a song you havent heard in years stuck in your head? That's happened to be this one. cant recall the last i have heard this
I have two loving parents and a loving brother and life has been hard. Those of you who have just yourself my heart goes out to you. Bring the love yourself.
One, two, three, four Tell me that you love me more Sleepless long nights That is what my youth was for Old teenage hopes are alive at your door Left you with nothing but they want some more Oh, uh oh, you're changing your heart Oh, uh oh, you know who you are Sweetheart, bitter heart now I can tell you apart Cozy and cold, put the horse before the cart Those teenage hopes who have tears in their eyes Too scared to own up to one little lie Oh, uh oh, you're changing your heart Oh, uh oh, you know who you are One, two, three, four, five, six, nine, or ten Money can't buy you back the love that you had then One, two, three, four, five, six, nine, or ten Money can't buy you back the love that you had then Oh, uh oh, you're changing your heart Oh, uh oh, you know who you are Oh, uh oh, you're changing your heart Oh, uh oh, you know who you are Who you are, who you are For the teenage boys They're breaking your heart For the teenage boys They're breaking your heart
Story time for the three people who might skim through half of this: When l was younger, l remember dreading school in the mornings: didn’t fit in, always slept like shit, couldn’t focus and lacked the discipline to make good grades. So that on top of general morning anxiety, my mornings getting ready were stressful. But l’d always turn on my tv to help wake me up and help take my mind off the day l dreaded. And l remember this song used to play in this ipod commercial they’d ALWAYS run on every commercial break. Hearing something so upbeat and just generally cute in the mornings was enough to keep me going. It’s changed in its meaning and vibe to me nowadays, but it’s one of my favorites and will always hold a special place in my heart.
Just heard this song for the first time in like...10 years? I was sitting at a Chinese restaurant with my father, and he asks who this is, because he also recognized it.
It’s been 14 years. Give us an HD remaster goddammit.

Agreed. 360p even for 2007 is unacceptable.
I disagree. It’s a true representation of the era it was released in. It’s perfect the way it is

Man I remember first listening to this on Sesame Street as a little kid! Now I’m in high school and it still makes me smile :)
I had no idea when this song came out I'd be listening to it again with my 2 year old daughter. So happy to have seen it on S.S.
I love this. Been waiting a while to see this. Great song, just a simple melody, beat, great voice as well!!

Give the creative team and this young artist their flowers. The simplicity of this video is the Little Black Dress of media... Classic.
this song makes me think of better times...
I didn't discover feist until this year and she's so well rounded yet still very deep sounding, love that voice
Her voice could melt a million hearts, mine is first in the queue !!
I love how she taps her high heels to the beat when they lift her up i dunno why it's so cute haha
This is a fun video, but I love her for all her work. And, when I say love, I mean I dig her really hard.
It's time to upload an HD version of this. It's a wonderful song and a wonderful video.
Finished school, started college, got a job, bought a house, married, have a kid and now she's 2. 15 years flies by kids. Savour every moment
That's happened to be this one. cant recall the last i have heard this
Listen to it one more time
@@dpezzy1360 thank you friend. I cant believe I remember this comment and it was the last time I heard this.
I have two loving parents and a loving brother and life has been hard. Those of you who have just yourself my heart goes out to you. Bring the love yourself.
I loved so much this song when it came out. I still love it.
Great song, brilliant choreography and camerawork, wish I’d been there to see it live
One, two, three, four
Tell me that you love me more
Sleepless long nights
That is what my youth was for
Old teenage hopes are alive at your door
Left you with nothing but they want some more
Oh, uh oh, you're changing your heart
Oh, uh oh, you know who you are
Sweetheart, bitter heart now I can tell you apart
Cozy and cold, put the horse before the cart
Those teenage hopes who have tears in their eyes
Too scared to own up to one little lie
Oh, uh oh, you're changing your heart
Oh, uh oh, you know who you are
One, two, three, four, five, six, nine, or ten
Money can't buy you back the love that you had then
One, two, three, four, five, six, nine, or ten
Money can't buy you back the love that you had then
Oh, uh oh, you're changing your heart
Oh, uh oh, you know who you are
Oh, uh oh, you're changing your heart
Oh, uh oh, you know who you are
Who you are, who you are
For the teenage boys
They're breaking your heart
For the teenage boys
They're breaking your heart

VH1 soul I love you!!! Thank you for timeless music
The quality is supposed to be like that it's supposed to be kinda old school and nostalgic. Very awesome and artistic.

Golly this song was my childhood, I remember it so well
Story time for the three people who might skim through half of this: When l was younger, l remember dreading school in the mornings: didn’t fit in, always slept like shit, couldn’t focus and lacked the discipline to make good grades.
