When you sell a lawn mower, how do you accept payment to not be cheated? Please explain.

Can you do a "how to" rewire harness? Possibly include bypassing the safety switches and installing a 2-3 prong throttle button for pto switch and ignition key? Asking too much?? LOL. I'm doing this right now for my JD STX38 KOHLER COMMAND 12.5. I honestly don't know music about wiring but I already bought everything to do it. It had a loose ground bolted to frame and I was cutting grass and the wires just started smoking! My yellow wire melted into 2 other wires and burnt off all of it's installation. The wire is literally burnt from the back to the front. Any help you could give me would be greatly appreciated! :) Thanks!
Ashley that sounds like a mess. (Are you Ashley or some guy using Ashley’s UA-cam account?).
The STX is an old mower but I think it has an electric PTO. So you first will have to wire the switch so it sends power to the solenoid trigger terminal (little wire on the square solenoid) and then you will need a switch to the PTO.
I had a similar STX mower I worked on for months. It was the most frustrating mower I have ever worked on. I suggest hauling it to the recycling place and get you $40 for scrap on it and be done with that thing.

I bought a 2000 John Deere LT155 for 450.00. The only thing I did was power wash it and replace the drive belt. That's it. And sold it for 750.00. A whole 20.00 in parts.
Excellent job, and someone got a good deal on a used mower. The LT155 is an great tractor. Check out my video on how to buy used mowers also

@@paulalbright1079 Oh I see, well, I did sell this lawn mower that I had. I thought I wasn't going to be able to and I finally did. I got a little bit less for it than I wanted. But it made me really happy finally do it.
