I remember those coming in here at Mildenhall with TF33 engines, and also with the old J57 screamers in the 70s, used to rattle the windows when they took off.

@@jfaviationvideos. Yes seen a few, and the black smoke I remember, also at night the engine run-up tests I used to love listening to in bed when I was a kid!

To think the TF33s were an improvement over the J57s… They always needed more runway!
