In this video I will show you how to use the lights on the VW T5 Transporter. This covers the following;
VW T5 sidelights, VW T5 daytime running, VW T5 headlights, VW T5 high beam, VW T5 adjusting headlights.
VW T5 Rear fog light, VW T5 Reversing lights, VW T5 hazard lights, VW T5 Indicators, VW T5 brake lights.
VW T5 Internal Lights, VW T5 Courtesy lights, VW T5 internal rear ceiling lights.
It is important to use your VW T5 lights correctly.
Only use Main beam (high beam) on dark roads that are clear so you don't dazzle oncoming drivers. Only use rear fog light in foggy conditions else you can dazzle drivers behind you.

Have you ever encountered a single day time running light socket not receiving power? An issue I have at the moment and have a few weeks wait before the mechanic can take a look. Cheers.

The other one is working ok? If so it could just be a faulty bulb or it's not seated properly. Or beware if you have upgraded to LED bulbs as these play havoc with the lighting system (did on mine), I went back to standard filament Lucas bulbs

My T5.1 camper doesn’t have an interior light in the rear that operates off the door switches. It does have LEDs off a switched panel on the wardrobe.
How do you recommend I add a light or wire it up to turn on the LEDs when the side door is opened?

hello any idea how to turn the DRLs on? does it have to be done by VW?

I think it’s done via the OBd2 somehow. I think with mine it had no bulbs so garage put bulbs in one day and they worked.
