1:20 , ya man there is nothing like pizza , when I was in Cuba , they would put corn , chicken and pineapple on the pizza with tiny shreds of scotch bonnet peppers , it was great , they make great pizza's , anyways house looks nice , I use to collect those German beer cups , I still have a few
As somebody who has worked in bars for around 20 years I can honestly say that this is a completely professional bar…it’s kind of mind blowing! The detail is incredible. You Dad was extremely talented with his hands…a true craftsman. You should definitely throw a party here GIV with your close friends and your Mom. Would love to see a video of this 😅
The tour of your Mom's house is great. So happy to see her feeling better and thanks to her for allowing you to share her house. Her home is beautiful, just like her.
I don’t know if a lot of people have a childhood home like that with all those memories. What a treasure that is. You are Blessed. And I wouldn’t worry about your Mom’s things. Tomorrow will take care of itself. Enjoy every day with her, you both are seriously Blessed! 🙂
I’m a 41 year old second generation American. Three grandparents were polish and one was from a Lithuanian descent. Our family members also all had knickknacks, useless pottery, old cameras, and other stuff. It was purely decorative, usually from trips, items that were sentimental, or gifts. I think many Europeans from a certain generation (especially around WWII) didn’t have much growing up, and filling their home with things like that made them feel like they had nice things to remind them of good times. Thanks for showing us more of the house. It’s nice to see all the things your dad made. You keep saying nobody looks or uses the stuff - but YOU are enjoying it while you’re there, and your mom sure enjoys it. Don’t worry about what’ll happen with the stuff someday. Just enjoy it now. I agree, you should use the basement sometimes. You don’t even need a giant party. Just invite your close friends to enjoy. Make it like your man cave in Germany. Turn on some of those records, have a few drinks, and enjoy it!
It is interesting , especially for American that never leave home, how the other world lives. So it is educational for many. Thanks for sharing and thank you to mom for allowing you to film her home !!!!
I have a German heritage, married a German have Getman nick nacks and steins etc. Mixed alot with Germans here in Australia and belonged to an Austrian club and saw heaps of shows from Germany that came to our club, did some of the language in all I loved the culture, singing decorations. Must be born in me. Thanks for lovely video with your forever happy Mom.
Wow just beautiful. You can never sell this. Please never sell. It has your Dad's energy there. So neat so many precious memories . This can never be replaced. Absolutely amazing
With all my respect to you and your lovely mom, once you showed us your cluttered apartment.... that was a nightmare not your mom's house. Your Mom's house is 100% lovely as she is💟
It's like a time capsule. How lucky that you can still enjoy all your dad's hard work. So many had their things thrown out after childhood. Your mother is special to have kept your memories.
The tour of your mother's house is like a tour of a museum! Such beautiful artifacts! And of course, memories for you. Glad to see your mother looking so healthy. What a treasure she is. Thank you.
I have the same problem with my Dad’s house. There is so much stuff that I don’t want but will need to sell or cart to a second hand shop when he is gone. When my mom was alive I begged her to go through her closets and get rid of the old stuff, but she just laughed and said it would be up to me. Both my parents were born during the depression, and that feeling of never having enough has not gone away, so they kept EVERYTHING! 🤦🏻♀️
Don't sell the house.. Move into the house when your mother passes away... It's a beautiful, cozy house.. It's a great place for you when you get older..
Mike..your father made a super nice home for you and your family. It's obvious how much you appreciate him. After their gone that's all we have unfortunately is the fond memories and what they left behind. God bless Mike! I wouldn't change a thing.
Hi . I’m 53 , and my mum is exactly like your mum washing ironing cleaning. Your basement is so amazing. Your dad, mum, and you are so talented and amazing. Thank you so very much for sharing your most precious memories and your mums home . God bless you lovely man . ❤
Your mom is looking good today. I hope she feels better. Thank you for sharing your childhood home with us. Growing up there was a German family on the next block and there was always something cooking in that kitchen. They had beautiful woodwork and a beer tap on the wall! The mom also ironed everything dang thing! This was in Houston TX. Glad I was exposed to their culture.
I really enjoy watching all your history growing up... the cool old pictures of you and places and people you have met. I was an American girl obsessed with Germany as a kid and you were a German boy obsessed with America. I feel like you are an old friend. I LOVE to see you and your friends/mom/videos 🥰
As a german i can say the same, but to be honest iam more interested in the older USA, like 20s to 90s. But its such a huge country with so many different cultures, it is realy interesting. One of my favorite Channels on UA-cam is Peter Santenello who did many interesting series about the Amish or Texan Farmers sand so on. Liebe Grüße!

My dad built a Ratz Keller bar in the basement. I have my parents German Stein's.. German's can build with perfection. My dad loved working with wood. He is like your father. Work with his hands und brain. I miss my parent's. I have a golden yellow phone. Your's is green. My dad wood carved his beans. We APPRECIATE it. Talented. Danke papa. Remember singing all the German song's and dancing as kinder. LIEBE DISH Mutte 🇩🇪🇩🇪🇺🇸👍🤟🥀 Danke for my memories. Truly DANKE
Great video. Very sentimental. The GIV had me in tears over here in Anaheim. On a side note, I had been wondering if your mom had Miele in her home. I saw it in the background in the kitchen and was thrilled to see the washer. Big Miele fan here- washer/dryer/dishwasher/vacuums/laundry soap etc. :) I think you just introduced that brand to a lot of us in the US. And after your glowing review of how well it cleans, Miele should send you one for your LA apartment:)
Miele is the brand our grandmothers used and it stands for quality. Its probably the most used kitchen devices brand here in germany besides Siemens. Miele is really good but i would say NEFF is the best but more expensive.
Reminds me of my childhood in the Valley of Los Angeles. Playing carroms. We had nets in the corners and plastic rings, ping pong, wiffle baseball, badminton, croquet, pool, ... This just reminds me of Los Angeles more than Germany. My Aunt would jar apricots, they had Pomegranate tree that made a mess. They would make hard fudge and penuche.
Oh my goodness, part 1 was awesome and now this is fantastic! The Meila machine, wish we had them here. Your Mom keeps a beautifully organized home. Your Dad did beautiful work and you can see the love! God bless and keep you both healthy. Thank you for letting us get a taste of your youth in your old home. Bittersweet memories for you.
Your Mother's house is so cozy and inviting. Thanks Mike!! Your videos are mind candy for alot of people and let us get away from the daily grind. Never stop!
@23:46 that giant revolver is an m1870 gasser Austrian pistol used by Austrian cavalry in the alps. It fired a HUGE bullet. They used them up until ww1 because they were so powerful. Very cool and rare!!
I’m from the uk and think it’s brilliant to see how you grew up , lots of respect to your dad for doing the house so cool , and as always love to your wonderful mum
I Absolutely love this video Mike! It's awesome listening to your stories and where you grew up you should do more of this type of video so we can hear more about you and your past! It's great to see your mom again! I'm glad she's doing a lot better!
Hi Mike! Very Cool video… thank you for sharing your life and your background by showing us your home and your wonderful family… Your mom and dad are the main reason why you are such a good person with a big heart❤… love you like a brother… your Italian friend, JIMMY 🇮🇹🇺🇸⭐️👍
Mike I am 50 and can relate to this video very well my friend. I have alot of the same memories and feelings as you. My Dad was also very good at making things and building things. My Mom is still alive as well and I have the same emotions when I visit her as well. Thank you for this video. I’m happy to see your Mom is doing better. Choo sing(spelling?)
GIV I love your content, I guess the apple does not fall far from the tree because if your Mom had a youtube channel I would follow religiously, she is the German Mom everyone needs, from German life hacks to being the amazing Mom she is!😍👌🤗
Your a cool guy and have a sweet Mom. My ex was from Austria. Went there a few times. Not Germany but my grandmother spoke German as a child. So have German ancestors. Your Mom's house is great. Love it. So blessed too have parents like you did.
Your father did an amazing job with the house & all that woodwork is beautiful!!!! My parents did similar at our childhood home too. My dad built with his hands. What was difficult getting my mom to try & get rid of some stuff in the house after dad passed. It was packed full of stuff & hard for her to dust & keep clean. Maybe ask your mom to put names on things she wants people to have after she's gone, God forbid it won't happen for many years. Watching this video makes me smile. You're not alone GIV there's others who's family home is like walking into a time capsule!! Tell mom hi & hope you all have a great week! Love these videos!!! 🙂💕
Moms house is so adorable! So cool your dad built the house! Mom keeps it absolutely gorgeous 🥰 I really enjoy these tours and sharing memories with you both!🤗💜
Hello "mom".... so glad you are both looking and feeling better ... and love your mom is letting you film her house... have enjoyed everything you have been showing us since you first got back to Germany... Thank you so much... Love you and your mom... and your friends. Take care. Give your mom a hug for me... such a sweet lady.
I loved the video!! With all of your family’s history and memories in one place, don’t ever sell your house. Like ever. My siblings and I decided to sell our childhood home that our parents owned for over 65 years which has been the worst decision that has ever been made. It still hurts my heart. I occasionally drive by the house without the kids and the Mrs and cry my heart out. I would do anything to just take a nap in that house one more time. I always felt so safe in there.
That is one amazing collection and what a great house your mom has, it’s really a treasure trove Mike,,all that fantastic woodwork your father did and the bar is quite a beautiful spot to hang out in, hope you and your mom will be able to enjoy it for a very long time, keep up the good work with your videos, as you can see people do like whatever you film and upload on UA-cam because it’s all so genuine 👏👏👍👍
Ironing is not only very European custom, but also in good houses in Australia, UK, and US. I do iron shirst, trausers, and bed sheets, etc. Yes, front loaded washing machines, and Miele is the best!
GIV! DUDE! You never cease to amaze me!!! An electrician!! I sooo love the bar and your attic bedroom. The woodwork throught the house is gorgeous! Speaking of gorgeous, your beautiful Momma looked wonderful! Her smile always brightens my day. I loved your baby/toddler picture taken in your crib. Such a happy little fellow with that great smile in his onesie! Can't wait to see your next video! Take care and tell your Momma I said 'hello'!!! PEACE OUT ✌
your moms house is fantastic. its a real home. i remember my grandmothers house and the smells whenever we would go and visit, she was always cooking and feeding us. my family are american portuguese, and always remember the portuguese food my grandmother always made for us. DELICIOUS. your mother reminds me a little of my grandmother EMILIA. thank you mike for sharing your family history with us.
Your parents house is beautiful. What a collection! Your mother's stoneware collection is awesome. Let her enjoy it. Your mother looks like she is feeling better. Thank you for sharing her home...I really enjoy seeing how other people live in a different country. Who rides the Harley Mike?
This was a lovely video Mike of your Mums home. So nice to see how your Dad helped decorate it, when he was alive, with help from your mum, making it a family home. A home has a soul when it’s loved and cared for. I believe that. Watching your video reminded me of my family home, where I grew up. When my dad was alive, he was a machinist, and he worked in the rag trade in the east end of London, in the factories, during a time when there was factories everywhere in east London. And at home, like you, my dad had a singer sowing machine, which was left in the kitchen, near the kitchen table, or in the hallway. And I use to remember when I was young, watching my dad making alterations to some garments he made earlier in the day in the factory, remembering how my dad used a small tin of benzine oil to lubricate the sowing machine. And I can still remember the smell coming from bundled up fabrics tied together with string, which was left below the sowing machine on the kitchen floor. And all the different colour cotton reels left scattered around the sowing machine, and inside the sowing machine drawer. It was a singer sowing machine that was built into a solid wooden table, with a chair. I also remember those old dial up telephones with telephone cords. We had so many of them over the years, when I was young. I’m now 51. When my mum passed away in 2011, and one of my sisters in 2012, I was living in the family home at the time. And like you, I was surrounded with so many happy memories. A lot of stuff, and it was incredibly hard to let go of most of it, because I couldn’t take it with me when I moved into my own home. But I’ll never forget that moment when I moved out and said goodbye to my family home, when it was sold, moving into a new borough, away from the area where I grew up, and knew people. It was hard letting go, but you know, my mum, sister, and dad, and all those happy memories I had live on in my heart. I was lucky though, because my family helped me organise things, when I was feeling extremely low, and unmotivated to do anything. And I look back, after watching your heartfelt video and feel blessed I had those times. Cheers Mike to you and your mum. 🍻:)
I have always been a minimalist; so knick knacks and decor in my house are kept to a minimum or non existent. My mom on the other hand; has all that stuff that serves no purpose everywhere! Every time I look at figurines, decorative plates and all that, all I can think of is what a pain dusting all that would be. Such time wasted! Haha. That is an awesome attic!!! I've always loved attic lofts.
You are the same age as me. I will be 55 Saturday. Love the tour! Looks like your mom feels better. She looks good! Love the basement! I am German. My ancestors were from the Black Forest. 🇩🇪
I had to laugh because before you went downstairs to the bar you're showing all of the salt glaze pieces that your mom has collected that's what those are called salt glazed pottery in her kitchen and they're beautiful and they're highly collectable they're also very expensive and it's funny because you're going I don't know why she has all of this and then you go downstairs and you're like oh look at all the beer steins they're collectible I laughed so hard you are adorable your mom is adorable And I hope that you're having a blessed and awesome time with your mom it looks like you are and I am so glad to see your mom feels better..Great video
I really enjoyed seeing your family home. I had a dog named Dolly too, but we spelled it Doli. I like all your mom's decorations! I think they look very nice. So many memories, time does goes by too fast, I agree.
Mr GiV you're a great storyteller and your precious mom deserves applause for inviting us to her warm abode once again.
We love you, your mom, your friends, your perspective. Your mom is looking great! Her house is awesome!!!
He's a great UA-camr

Yes, record it or go live. We can have a drink with you!😊
Perhaps his drinking days are over alcohol may not be the best option for a celebration in his home
That would be super cool I second that GIV
I doubt if very many are drinkable...the liqueurs are definitely too old.
Let's drink to that wonderful one of a kind bar. More bar videos. Thank you.
Mom likes it and that's ALL that matters. Be nice😊
The tour of your Mom's house is great. So happy to see her feeling better and thanks to her for allowing you to share her house. Her home is beautiful, just like her.
It's a Great tour
Not a speck of dust anywhere. Impressive.
A lived in home is a reflection of its occupants after many decades. Priceless.
So nice to have a childhood home.
We love mom!!!
I think your dad would be very proud of you showing all of this the craftsmanship and hard work your dad put in two that beautiful basement❤
GIV, your mom has the coolest house ever!

Your dad was amazing!

I've always loved attic lofts.
so glad your mom looks like shes feeling better 💙💚💛💜
