Somewhat disappointed that Pokemon Mystery Dungeon; Explorers of Sky wasn't on this list. It's my second favorite game of all time (right behind Xenoblade Chronicles, but this isn't a Wii video!)
It was the first game that ever got me to cry, and that's saying something for me. Heck, I still get a lump in my throat when *not putting it here, sorry* happens.
It's all opinions, though. So I guess that's fine.

***** not to spoil, but the last level is supposed to be more of a cinematic climax to everything else you've accomplished in the game. It doesn't have much of a puzzle to it anyway, so there is no harm in each of the characters working together telling sissle what to do, especially since the last few hours of the game you've been constantly doing great puzzles. My only gripe would be that it felt pretty short, but it was consise with all the mechanics the game could offer.

Kind of like Steins Gate which is an anime series that is also about Time Travel. I mean this channel I watch just started reacting to it. And I instantly started tearing up during the first scene of the show. Which would make zero sense to anybody watching for the first time as it seems like a normal scene but once you learn the backstory it has so much more meaning. I Honestly don't know, and I love the Ace Attorney Series,
I loved AJ as it payed tribute with re-using the graphics from the first 3 games before changing to 3D models in newer ones.
Maybe its like MGS2, you expect to play as snake (or Phoenix) and the rest of the game, you play as Raiden (or Apollo)
But come on, it says AJ:AA on the cover!

I just use an emulator so I don't have any of the games. Didn't feel like spending all the money on a DS and the games. And seeing how my GF has the PS4 with her at college I had nothing to play. So finally decided to start playing games from older consoles. Like started with the SNES and the Game Boy Advance and now I'm onto the DS. Beat all of the Pokemon games for it. And now have moved onto the Zelda games just beat Phantom Hourglass today and have moved onto playing Spirit Tracks.

Oh, I love Bowser’s Inside Story.
Such a fantastically created game. Taking all the bland tropes of JRPGs and replacing it all with action and skill.
No random battles, no attacks that miss out of sheer RNG, no forced grinding, just skill, tactics, and action. Now that’s MY kind of RPG!
Bowser is a blast to play, and the chemistry between him, his Minions, Fawful, Chippy and The Bros is hilarious.
The DS is utilized to its maximum capabilities here, pulling out the stylus, utilizing the two screens, and even turning the whole system sideways.
That’s my personal favorite RPG on the system, and I’ve played a lot of RPG’s on those two screens. Glad it placed so high on the list, I think it really deserves it.

Except for you AND the 6 people that liked your comment, including me. I'm not sure if I would put it in my top 10, but it's still a great game. The setting of the story was so cool and fun, and the mechanics were also very entertaining. Never thought a mecha furry game would make me so happy and eager to explore each new world I unlocked through my journey. I loved capturing all the cats.
I definitely think that it should have gotten more repercussion, it's not hard to get the gist of it and the characters are fun enough to draw attention. A pity.

@@harukaf.n.1994 Yeah, I never actually could get into most RPGs nowadays, primarily because the characters in them feel all too same-y due to the fact that much of the cast in all of them are anime-style humans, and I think anthropomorphic animals deserve more recognition in other genres of games because of them having unique designs that make them different but appealing (at least to me), especially if they were worked on by a Japanese company.

Of all the rpg derivatives of nintendo (pokemon included), Mario & Luigi is my absolute favorite, this series deserves more love. The way Mario and Luigi "talks" is just awesome, peperepop perepabi? The humour works, the combat is fun, the pacing is awesome, etc... It's really a great experience, Bowser Inside Story is arguably the best of the series.

09. Professor Layton and the Unwound Future- I love this series, but think Diabolical Box is perhaps has my favorite soundtrack of the series
08. Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks-I enjoyed the LoZ games for the DS, but I think I would have liked to have the option to use regular D-Pad controls
07. Rhythm Heaven/Osu! Tatakae! Oendan!-I enjoyed these, and I also enjoyed Elite Beat Agents. Of course, you went through without mentioning the obligatory tearjerker levels in each game.
06. Ghost Trick- A very fun and unique puzzle adventure which I enjoyed. There some twisted logic in the Rube Goldberg deaths.
05. Pokemon White/Black-Much as I own them, I've not played them for any appreciable length of time. I haven't really gotten into a Pokemon game for over a decade.
04. Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney- I have to agree, these games have fantastic soundtracks and amusing characters. And despite its flaws, I did enjoy the Apollo Justice game as well(Frankly I wonder how many people disliked the game because of Wright being sidelined, and how many disliked it because of actual issues with quality)
03. 9 9 9-Never did get around to playing this one.
02. Mario and Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story-I enjoyed it, and played it for quite a while but never actually finished it.
01. The World Ends With You- I've only played this briefly, and never finished it. One of these days I ought to buckle down and play it to completion.
On a related note, some of my favorite games on the DS are the Etrian Odyssey series, which are old school in a fantastic way.

I gotta thank you Ant. When I first watched this video like a year+ ago and got to the 999 part, I had never heard of the series. I paused the video, looked online and went to a Gamestop two cities away to pick it up. No regrets. I've played through it twice now including the PC version. I absolutely ADORE the series. All of them. But I think I like them best in chronological order, 999's my favorite. VLR is amazing and ZTD is great.
I wish the second and third games had the same style as the first one though. The terrible 3D models in VLR turn me off so much

A game I hear rarely mentioned for the DS is Retro game Challenge. (I believe) you get transported back in time as a part of a challenge, and play a bunch of retro games. The story isn't that important or complex. Each game has a few challenges for you to complete before the story advances, and you're given the ability to play through the games in full after you beat the challenges in the story. You're also given cheat codes and tips through an in-game magazine, a la Nintendo Power.
Also, Pokemon Mystery Dungeon is probably in my top 10 games of all time. I had to make an emergency bag with clothes and stuff in it during the snowstorm back in November (yay Buffalo), and I instinctively grabbed Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky first to put in there. That alone shows how much I love that game, and you've probably played them and know why they're so good. Except Gates to Infinity, but that's a 3DS game anyway.

Which I would assume many of them just input his name as Link. Yet for me I go with LAW. As one of my favorite characters in media is named Lawrence yet that never sounded badass enough for someone like Link. So I thought Law sounded much better.
