Wow Dustin. I really loved this format. Take the Amtrak to another town and explore by bike. You can make a full series out of this. Support smaller villages around you. I might give it a try here in NY state
I fired Rempe from being a wrench at Gregg’s back in the day. I told him, go be a tattooer, don’t get stuck wrenching on bikes your whole life like me! And look at him go! I’m so proud of him!!
I remember taking this train from Portland to Seattle in 2017 at the end of my cross country bike tour. Ripping through those two cities, and the people I met, was one of the best times of my life.
Pretty good . i watched the entire video which i rarely do because i'm rather old (78) and generally cranky and have the attention span of a mosquito . i use to live on Bainbridge island and would marvel at how many people commuted by bike on the ferry .The bikes were allowed to exit first which provided a lot of safety for them . anyway ,a fun video .👍
Left Seattle almost 30 years ago and it is still one of my most favorite places I’ve lived, worked in a bike shop in Ballard once upon a time, I very much enjoyed that little tour of yours……
I used to work at General Mills for 16 years. We used to put the "premiums" in the cereal box by hand. Occasionally I'd fill a box with just marshmallows, in A lucky charms box, make sure it was properly closed and sent in the case. I did this many times hoping some kid would have a fanrasy fulfilled. We would also jam in tons of premiums in some boxes.
My friend bought a NOS Specialized Creo a few months ago so he could continue to ride longer distances with us. He just turned 75, and the bike has been a great deal for him to be able to ride 50 miles at an 18-20 mph pace. He suffered a bit of a setback a few years ago with a lung infection that has severely hampered his ability to ride more than 30 miles on an "analog" bike, but the Creo has been a good fit. Bicycling, he said, has probably saved his life because he's diabetic and since taking up cycling 9 yrs ago, his blood sugar levels have stabilized, and he feels tons better.
This is a brilliant vid Dustin, so cool. It has a great vibe that makes me want to go there, although it’s a long trip from here in wet cold London!! ❤🚴♀️🚴♀️🏁
Had been fine you videos for a while had never been interested In tattoos But I point everything you to be really interesti'm very insightful. And a different way of looking at America thanks for all your great videos
Fantastic video - brings back memories of my Seattle days! Lived in the Downtown and Capital Hill District in 95/96. My second apartment was on Melrose Ave/Pike St near Bauhaus Cafe which is now a Rapha store. It was great to your bike perspective again since that's how I got around.
Having moved to Seattle back in January, it was really fun to rewatch this video now that I know all the spots you visited! Gonna have to check out El Moose next time I'm in Ballard!
Aw man....got a little misty eyed when I saw scenes of the city. Used to ride around N. Seattle and then I moved up to Snohomish County. I frequently ride the Centennial Trail but I think I actually prefer urban riding. I'm much fitter now and It'd be nice to see which routes around the city I could take, as I had a tendency to avoid routes with too much gravity.
Great video, and you hit some of the best spots in town. Had to mention that my uncle actually started the Ace hotel back in the day, it was cool to see someone I watch regularly in my domain. Keep it up DK
@@EverythingsBeenDone Comment recap: I made it to Good Weather, Homegrown, and El Moose. All three were great stops. Plus, because we had to go all the way to El Moose, I was able to take colleagues to the Fremont Troll on the way back. Thanks again for the Seattle suggestions.
Another solid fricken clip Dustin! Love seeing a new video from you. I’ve always loved your style. Where do you get your cycling clothing? Specifically your tops! Cheers
Fun little adventure!. I feel you on the randomness of the bike lane going all over compared to what I’m used to riding. Went to Oakland awhile back after I hadn’t ridden there in a while and it was the same with a new bike lane structure that I was cool with just wasn’t used to it or expecting them to be that way. They remind me of San Francisco bike lanes little better than usual. I liked the new way they were designed since it seemed like they were going for safety as much as possible. Think more to come in other cities of the Bay Area which doesn’t hurt. Just gotta get used to them is all. Not a bad thing.
In the UK British Rail that was,pre privatisation used the tagline ‘Let the train take the strain’ sadly they didn’t live up to that and so if ever in the UK maybe consider an alternative transport.
My 3 kids and the neighbour kids used to run around the neighbourhood with bicycle helmets on all day. We used to laugh at it, they never felt like freaks having helmets without their bikes. Sometimes we just have to be like kids and leave our adulting judgy selves behind. Thanks for sharing your adventures!
Hi! Unrelated to the video, but don’t know how else to reach out, any chance of the DCO Tundra and Jungle being available as hoodies in your shop? Thanks!!!!
I might have to Amtrak up there and ride to Layne Staley's former condo and of course Kurt Cobain's old house. Thanks for the excellent video and congrats on the new ink. Enjoyed that one a lot!
You've been inspiring / educating me for years now! Thanks! Oh, and I would let you tattoo me. Bespoke, co-motion- it would be my first, only skin art.
Hey Dustin, thinking of doing the same but in reverse, take the train from Seattle to Portland then ride. Suggestions for good gravel rides right out of Portland?
I've only ridden in Seattle once... Also took the train, rode from Vancouver into Portland, went for a concert. I felt like their bike lanes, roads, and sidewalks were way rougher than Portland-area, more potholes and the like, but I was mostly in the industrial SODO/Georgetown area so maybe that's why.
That was so 10/10! The city scenes, cutting around on the Creo, the trip down memory lane. Thanks 🙏
Wow Dustin. I really loved this format. Take the Amtrak to another town and explore by bike. You can make a full series out of this. Support smaller villages around you. I might give it a try here in NY state
Your filmmaking and storytelling is always so good👌. And closing in on 100k subscribers.

I LOVE exploring cities i don't live in via bike. the BEST
Pure exploratory BLISSSS
I remember taking this train from Portland to Seattle in 2017 at the end of my cross country bike tour. Ripping through those two cities, and the people I met, was one of the best times of my life.
I was at the big Fast Friday. One of the more memorable days on a bike ever. Thanks for the trip down memory lane.
Also have two bags from that Reload location as well.
I remember when Top Pot was going viral and was super busy. Donuts suck but their light Ethiopian roasts are booommmbbbb
Cycling plus public transit ❤
This one ruled. Super cool style video, DK. Keep on killin it.
Thank you T!!
Please do more of these trips, your work makes you the King of Creativity ❤

Got the same bike. Feels very noisy. Any ideas to tune it down 🤔
A saddle library!!!!!!! Proof no thought is unique and my inaction gets done by someone else. Loved this video!

Long distance for kind of the the same weather...LOL BUT Seattle in the summer has some of the best most stable weather I have ever experienced.
@@EverythingsBeenDone such a cool vid ❤️
48hrs in 10minutes….. so much going on with all the editing and screens…. Love it
This was such a cool video, love you going through the history and videoing your new tattoo! Seattle and PDX vibes are the best
I stayed in that room many times when I was doing post-grad work at the Seattle School! Love your videos man! Keep up the great work...
Public transport plus bike city exploration! Very nice content 😊 Seattle and it's surroundings are just amazing.
Couldn't agree more!
This video was so worth the squeeze. 🤠
I really appreciate your little slice of life videos

Same, we were neighbors. I was a couple blocks behind Bauhaus back then too!

Thanks. Now I want to visit Seattle.
All the best from Zurich
Please do!

Great video love this kind of thing. I like travelling by train in the US, they are always very cheap and so empty!
My latest obsession! Ive been planning trips all over.
Loved the Fast Friday memories. The old cadence and reload space was so sick. Came with for me with that handpainted 650c I used forever. Love it!
Dustin you are the Design/Style King! And the Chances With Wolves inspired soundtrack always hits
Wow, thanks!
Amazing how much of a city you can really see from a bike, you got around! Hit some awesome spots. Love good weather ❤
As always good quality video very underrated. you deserve more subs
THanks bud! Perpetually Underground ;)
Got my giant ReLoad bag from her right there. Missing Fast Friday and Future T.

Always fun to see my local streets in a video. Cool recommendation for Good Weather too, I'll have to check that place out!
Love the idea of hitting a bookstore to read during your hotel stay.
Great video, and you hit some of the best spots in town. Had to mention that my uncle actually started the Ace hotel back in the day, it was cool to see someone I watch regularly in my domain. Keep it up DK
Love that window shot man! Trippy!!
Ha! I’m going to be in Seattle for a conference in a couple of weeks. The recommendations are totally going to work. Thank you.

What bike fenders do you use on different bikes? These looked nice, but also on your green one :)
Lovely to take this journey with you
Thanks for coming along.
I'm booking passage to Seattle post haste. That was a lovely trip dude.
You literally rolled right by my work in this video. Bummed I miss the opportunity to see you in the wild.

Enjoyed the city break, and a few dining tips along the way.
Ahh yes! That is my intention on showing the food spots, it can be overwhelming to figure out where to go in a new place(or a familiar place)

Def enjoy collecting tat artist on my skin also the marks are also fun.

Bravo!
Fast Friday + Humpday Hustle + Critical Mass = Undefeated era
Just got some ink from 36th street, dig that shop
Very cool! Who did you get a piece from?
Seattle represent.
awesome video!
You should’ve just come up to Vancouver as well. There are so many places I could’ve told you about to ride by yourself.

Haha, that’s how I feel whenever I go to homegrown
What's the background song at the Tattoo place?
Hey Dustin, thinking of doing the same but in reverse, take the train from Seattle to Portland then ride. Suggestions for good gravel rides right out of Portland?

If I recall "correctly," you actually named Cade-nce after Francis (who was probably 10 years old & a total stranger at that time in ~2005) 🤔🙃
Last time I was in Seattle I had Ivars clam chowder it was a while ago
You tell a good story, Dustin.
Klark you just made my day!
So nice, i watched it thrice!!!😂😂😂
PLAYER!
Would love this kind of cycling infrastructure in ANY UK city or town 😢
