Just wondering how it's going. I have a 600 watts wind generator on a sixteen foot pole that's attached to a piece of angle iron that I bolted to the barn rafters. Im getting 150-275 watts today out of mine. I'm thinking about raising it three more feet. It's chained to the side of the base pipe instead of being in the top of it. It's concreted into the ground. I think it would get cleaner air if it was at nineteen feet. I have mine charging twenty lead acid batteries but I have a 24 volts 100 amps lithium battery 🔋 coming Wednesday and I'll get another one in December. I have 1600 watts of solar panels hooked to a 4215 BN Epever charge controller, and a 24 volts Aims Power inverter charger 2000 watts. I used a piece of 1 1/2 inch ID pipe. There's only five feet above the barn so it doesn't have guy wires yet. I already have another set of five blades and hub to use to build another wind generator. There's two short videos of mine spinning on my channel.
Nice! I have a different turbine that sounds more like yours. This one is on a fixed mast and I haven’t tried raising it yet but I’m considering placing a mount on the bus roof to get it higher up. So far this style blade is proving much better than the fixed blades on my other turbine. When I get wind that isn’t obstructed by the tree line, I’m getting about 50 watts from a 10 mph breeze. This turbine maxes out at 200 watts though do it’s not bad so far. Thanks for the comment.
