THIS IS A RESPONSE I THINK EVERYONE NEEDS TO READ!! THANK YOU……… I apologize in advance…..it is quite quite long but was very therapeutic & even more helpful to help me process this VERY VERY new & recent path I’m on here on YT & this channel. Special SHOUT OUT to @MusicMike for triggering this!!😁🤔🤘 SO……My stance on copyright rules, fair use & all the BS in this music reaction genre. As you know, I’m a VERY VERY new reactor, about one month in, & actually made partner last week which was very fast & even more unexpected. Very grateful & fortunate & it’s YOU GUYS who made it happen!! As you know I am passionate about music & this channel & take it very seriously. To me it’s way more than a way to make 💵💰💴 or to get popular…It’s my therapy & my safe space that I’m willing to share to anyone who can benefit from my stories or simply be entertained by a dumbass from Mpls who looks funny but acts even funnier!!! It’s a new passion but a rewarding one for me! When I said music has helped me through some very hard times, it was music I turned to when i was real young because I had little support & it was more important to protect my bro & sis then worry about me. I used music then & throughout my entire life to supplement my own issues & make it day to day. As I got older & my life stabilized , I moved past & began living life. It wasn’t until I became a father myself where the self doubt, not being ready, the worry of being responsible for this little cute “mini me” I was raising up to stand 10 toes & be a proud respectful man was when I realized what unconditional love & devotion is. Next 20+ years was dad not BigMike but then they grow until grown & dad is not as needed but still important is when my mental health became an issue I wasn’t understanding at the time what was happening & decided to ignore, repress & deny I had issues. Then life became harder, had setback after setback & not having kids in the house to raise or dependent on you for their needs was very hard to adjust to. It isolated me so gradually that I woke up one day & looked in the mirror & broke down like I was 7 years old scared & not knowing why. Yet I just lived…. Day to day… year to year. Looking back, I lost so many years just going through the motions with no motivation to continue living but I did. In silence after I found the bottom of every bottle. Then I lost myself in every bottle not caring or acknowledging I was in a bad place. But I hid it well… til recently! It wasn’t until this past year where I’m entering my 40s that I’ve noticed my mental health & myself as a person was really struggling. I’ve dealt with so much trauma throughout my early years growing up & even just recently dealing with baby mama drama of manipulation on a borderline abusive level (not my son’s mom.. SHE’s A SAINT & the most caring & devoted mother a kid could ever need which is the complete opposite of my daughters mom..😳🤨🙄😡🤬👀 LET’S JUST SAY….NARCISSISTIC behavior should be grounds for CPS intervention & LEAVE that!! I have different mamas w/ 2very different dramas! If my daughter ever sees this, I refuse to bash someone she ❤’s as much as she ❤’s her dad) BUT I refused to talk about it especially to my loved ones or deal with it or even acknowledge I had any struggles! It was easier to just 😮drink the noise away & just shut everyone I ❤ out of my life so I wasn’t a burden on their own mental health. And yet, as the pain consumed me, at least the people i loved were safe from my thoughts & didn’t see my ups & downs. Up Until my nephew lost his battle w/ his own mental health issues. I guess he felt he couldn’t handle the pain either & felt he was burdening the ones that loved him & cared for him so much!!! When I was told the next day of the circumstances of what happened to him & the WHY!! The WHY? is think is hard for most in my family & yet so easy for me to see. But just like Uncle BigMike, he hid it well from most & the ones in the know hid him from us. After his funeral, I was in such pain & despair that I honestly lost 2-3 days of memories and truly have no recollection of that weekend. Looking back it was so hard to handle but it was so very easy to empathize what he was going through…so much so I finally had enough!!! I stopped all this self destructive behavior & wanted to be ok that I swallowed my pride & FINALLY reached out to my son & wifey for help. That one call changed my world & saved me!! It took time but within 5-6 months I got my license, a car & a nicer place & moved here🥹 I still deal but now I use my experience & try to tell my stories & share my trauma in hopes I can do what my family did for me. Save me from me!! With that came healing & understanding & is my biggest motivation to start this channel. To help myself, rekindle a lost passion & maybe help others who have similar tendencies & need a small nudge. This channel is a passion project & I feel it’s why it took off so fast! It helped that Ren was my first artist & only started with him because my nephew was a fan when he saw him in Brighton when he was visiting family. He saw him busking with his band (I believe) & loved his energy and guitar play. My weak spot!! Not sure if he knew about his history but he was drawn to his words & told me that he thought Ren was talking about him & was worried he was being recorded. At the time I should have picked up on his behavior but was too busy hiding my own issues. One of many “what ifs” I deal with. After his death l, I still remembered his name simply because if how much I loved Ren & Stimpy. So I decided to look him up a little to get an idea of who Ren was & Right away I knew he was a perfect starting point! So as a tribute to Nicholas I started w/ HiRen. Went down that hole for a while and then moved from recommendation to recommendation until here we are!! The Renegades supported me heavily right away!! They seem to like my unfiltered & unpolished reactions & I love making people laugh while listening to music I never knew about. That was when I knew this channel had potential & my decision to let the community decide, not me, about what songs I react to was a perfect way to go & probably why it paid off SO QUICKLY. Week later I started doing other artist and finding all these communities after communities connected to these artists. I couldn’t believe the support they had & It wasn’t til I reacted to The Warning X BAND-MAID that their community was glowing about the ladies of hard rock!!!!! SO finding BAND-MAID was one thing but thinking from pics that they were K-Pop sent their fans into a lynch mob & I was the target in the comment section. I loved the passion everyone had so as a make up, I did another. You guys are so wonderful & passionate & I’m blessed you are here supporting me! Even the ladies & their record label or whoever is being supportive of my channel. They could of made me take down all their tracks or just taken all of the monetization but instead all the want is ……revenue sharing. OK? Absolutely…..more than happy to since it’s THEIR music!! It really should be the SET RULE ON YT when a reaction channels uses copyrighted music. And I KNOW….Yes, some reactors believe that since reaction channels are more than reacting since we have to edit, promote, entertain & distribute every video & also give the artist or whoever free publicity & advertising that should be enough compensation. Ok? but but know reaction channels don’t exist without the platform the artists have ….PLUS, ITS THEIR F&$KING MUSIC that gives us our channel platform to do thiS!!! Both sides want it all!!! Greed & refusing to JUST SHARE on both sides of the argument is what give people like this channel heartburn!!! It’s that corporate greed and entitlement on both sides that makes me go on a tangent like this and 🙄 In my opinion after this past week & educating my self on this BS….MY STANCE IS…..Reactors like me who promote the artists we are reacting to but don’t have the audience are the ones who they go after since we aren’t big enough to make their $$ too HOWEVER… Reaction channels who have the Huge audiences get calls to promote these artist so to them promoting is enough and shouldn’t share revenue because of their giant platform! 😳🙄🤔 WTF?!?? This is why I appreciate talent like BAND-MAID!!!They & the label appreciate what the good reaction channels do!! However, if any artist or label is ok w/ me making 100% off the music.👊👍🙏🙏🙏🤘🙌 OK? I wont say no…BUT… if they want to share revenue??? ABSOLUTELY!!! Making everything this way just 🛑’s all this BS & all the red tape of double standards!!!! OMG.. my RANTS ARE OUT OF CONTROL!!!! SO SORRY, HOLY F@$k!!!!…..but this is VERY important to me cause this channel is so VERY important to me and ….. OF COURSE…. YOU are too!!!👊. Thank you to BAND-MAID for supporting reactors & special THANK YOU to their fans!!! YOU are passionate & opinionated but also caring & a WONDERFUL COMMUNITY… Thank You MAIDIACS!!! ❤️&🤘 -BigMike
Hi there! I'm ViiOlet, the one that made the Short you watched with the Steve Vai quote 😊 I'm so glad that video found its way to you and that it got you to listen to this amazing song. I'm also a big fan of Steve Vai and the many amazing quotes from him, but this one in particular is one of my favorites and I really wanted to relate it to Kanami, cause she's become my favorite rock music composer. She's not big on crazy long guitar solos, but generally any BAND-MAID song feels like she's doing her own full-on solo behind the vocals and she has made me appreciate the guitar on a whole new level. BAND-MAID are the ones that help me the most with my mental health and making these little Shorts about them is my way of sharing the love and appreciation I have for them. On that note, thank you for watching my little video and for sharing it during your reaction 🙏🏻 The channel where you watched it is not originally mine, it belongs to a friend called Ohrenje (another BAND-MAID fan) where I collaborate with him by posting Shorts there. You really seemed to like the song so I'm extremely happy that it was my video that got you here. I'll be happy to subscribe to hopefully continue to see you discover more BAND-MAID songs. Rock on, Po! 🤘🏻💜
I think I say this all the time, everything happens for a reason. It was very well done & I appreciate you reaching out. I’m gonna go back & out credit for you in the description. Mental health is something I deal with too. It’s never easy but music & now this channel helps me process my emotions. I really appreciate you reaching out & im so happy you liked the video. It was such a coincidence I even came by it but once I heard him. I knew it. Honestly in his later years he is kinda been over the top but his quotes are almost as legendary & his playing. So glad you subscribed & there will be plenty more. I love that music is a universal language & this band really proves that point. So nice of you, made my night!! Thank you
PRS just announced about Kanami’s Signature Model PRS. As a first Japanese artist. Now there are 10 signature artists. This song is masterpiece 🔥❤️ For me, Kanami is the most impressive musician of the 21st Century. Pure genius as a composer, very unselfish, shreds only what serves the song most. On stage..true Rock n’ Roll Star 🔥❤️ Lovin Band-Maid, Greatest Band of our time 🔥❤️ Greets from Finland 🇫🇮🤘
If your into *Instrumentals* you came to the right channel. If your into *Acoustic* you came to the right channel. If your into *Getting your mind blown* you came to the right channel. It's all good in the land of *BAND-MAID* 🤘😆🤘
It me for better or worse! I appreciate comments like this. I gives me confidence in what I do. Everything from my intro to the videos has a meaning for doing it. FUN FACT:: My intro is actually a DOUBLE! It welcomes you to the video & also it welcomes you into my life…my place and let’s you know this is REAL! Place-Reactions & ME! Thank you for the comment!
If you ever have the chance, go see them live. It really is life-affirming. I saw many of the great classic bands in their prime, and Band-Maid can hang with any of them.
You know Big Mike, I had almost the exact same reaction the first time I heard this song. Now I’m probably on my 600tb listen. And I STILL have that same reaction! I honestly did not know that rock bands were capable of producing music like this. Absolutely stunning!
These amazing women have spent the majority of their adult life as BAND-MAID, the time, effort and energy the Maids give to their craft individually and collectively speaks volumes to their incredible commitment to music. They are without doubt one of the very best things to happen to my world, enjoy 👍🍻
You’re welcome to your new favorite band. 120+ more songs to listen to. Many of them are very good. The others are just pure divine awesomeness. You wanna something very catchy ? Dice (the MV) Or Freedom (official live) Something more agressive straight in your face ? Warning! (The MV) A live masterclass ? Hate? (Official live) A nice mid-tempo ballad ? Daydreaming (MV) A progressive… well.. just listen to it : Forbidden Tale (MV) The beginning of their hard rock journey, 10 years ago ? Thrill (MV)
I really appreciate you taking the time to put this together. Gonna catch up w/ a doc on them someone recommended. Amazing the catalog they have & the following. So impressed by it all. Thank you!
You mentioned Rehab, good work on getting yourself better. I am 3 years sober from alcohol and Band-Maid is absolutely what kept me focused on my goal. they quite literally saved my life. Seeing these ladies that are my age making incredible music and always pushing the envelope, learning new techniques, never settling, never letting anyone say "you can't do that", that gave me so much power over my addiction. I'll leave you with a lyric from their song Endless Story "No giving up the struggle is the mark of life".
No need for Saiki in this track, Kanami did the singing herself 😉 You should watch Don’t You Tell ME (live). It’s more your tempo, and Kanami gets to show off a bit with Misa. Or you might enjoy another instrumental like Onset.
Kanami Tono, guitarist, composer, pianist, producer...and a degree in Economics. Her main influences are Chopin, Santana, and Larry Carlton. She is also tennen boke (natural nerdy funny man).
Dear Mike mate! Greetings from a (very) old French geezer under the benign care of Mount Fuji in Shizuoka, Japan! I have lived in Japan for 48 years, and I am still flabbergasted by the Japanese rock/metal scene in this country which takes me back to Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughan, and the whole Woodstock generation! Band Maid has simply become after 11 years of sheer hard work and dedication the new norm not only here but in the whole world when it comes to rock and meta and even more! Three of them were classically educated and it shows while the other two are simply said workaholics! I see that the Maidiacs are upon you and you will love them. As a rule we (I am also a maidiac, lol) we do not belittle other bands, on the contrary we take them onto our cosmic train! If you have the time and will, along the enormous Band Maid's discography, continue to check The Warning (who are not Japanese, but feel so much at home when they visit us!), Asterism, Lovebites, Hanabie, and around 100 more (serious!)! Looking forward to your next reactions (great ones incidentally!)! Best regards, Robert-Gilles Martineau
Thank you so much! I really appreciate this & the comment!!! These ladies are truly something special! So happy I found them & hope to do this for a long time!! Thank you for the support!!
Steve Vai and Kanami... I can't imagine two more different guitarists, Vai is flashy, flamboyant, hyper-technical... a showman with all the spotlights, always facing the gallery. Kanami on the other hand is all heart, working so hard every riff, bending the strings with passion, with her ayes closed feeling each note... and usually working in the shadow of Saiki. I woudn't change a sigle Kanami for a dozen Steve Vai.😎
Steve Vai is boring. A lot of great musicians are boring because they think all they have to do is play with skill. They don't entertain. They don't make a connection with their audience. They don't write great songs. They ruin songs by showing off.
Yes-Yes- and definitely Yes!! Steve Vai is definitely one who thinks very highly of himself. He ❤️s being the center of attention!!! Kanami has the same passion as Vai did but I doubt she would ever act the way he has to her fans!! Vai was someone that mini me was blown away bye but he’s very good and he will let you know. Nice comment!! So excited to see more of these 4. Looks like that documentary is in my future! 🙏🤘🙌👊
@@Jordan-Ramses I agree, though I probably would have expressed it more gently. I have seen Stevie twice, once with Joe Satriani, and I was impressed for 5 minutes, then became bored. Yngwie had the same effect on me.
The Warning and BAND-MAID have been playing as a band for the same amount of time, the members of BAND-MAID are older, more mature and experienced having played with other bands. It shows in the writing and performing.
Band-Maid has been known to watch and enjoy reactions to their songs. They even recognized Mr Rock N Roll at a couple of their live shows and Miku said Akane was his fan. You should be ok on copyright issues as long as it is one of their official releases.
Definitely keeping it down the middle until I get more familiar and that’s ok! Even when it says revenue share….. it’s their music & more than happy too. Fair is fair!! Thank you for the comment
I appreciate that! This whole copyright vs fair use is crazy!!! Still figuring it out! This all happened so fast getting monetized, I feel like now I’m playing catch up. But I think I have a better understanding. Thankful for artist like BAND-AID who enjoy people reacting to them. Just hope my spin stands above the rest. This is a dream come true & I have this community & others to be thankful for this year. I appreciate the comment & support.
I had the same reaction to this band from the first time I heard them, and of course, this great instrumental track is phenomenal. I would say many Band-Maid fans share a similar musical path as yourself a majority of us are late 70's and 80's hard rock and metal fans. I also had that same Steve Vai cassette. That was the heyday of the electric guitar hero. Band-Maid does exhibit similar guitar virtuosity and more. They also evoke something familiar and nostalgic in many of us older fans. They are true masters at their craft exhibiting world-class talent and skill. But the greatest quality of this band is their complete, lack of ego. This is a truly rare thing. They are truly authentic and genuine along with their songwriting has been the winning formula that has given them their staying power. And the rarest thing of all is they have the same lineup currently as when they started. They are one of those rare bands that sound better live than their studio recordings. I have been addicted to this band since I first heard them about six or seven years ago. If you are looking for some real nostalgia, I recommend starting with a few older tracks that are more in line with that era. I happen to be a big fan of the period from the Just Bring It album to the Conquer albums. Don't get me wrong the Unseen World is a beast of an album which is more progressive than anything else they previously have done. I feel it is better to get a few older tracks under your belt before taking on the newer stuff. I would like to recommend a few of my favorites below. 1) Real Existence (Live) 2) Non-Fiction Days (MV) 3) Thrill (MV) 4) Alone (MV) 5) Moratorium (Live) 6) Puzzle (Live) 7) Secret My Lips (MV) 8) Dice (MV) 9) Onset (Live Instrumental) 10) Blooming (MV) I better stop there; otherwise, I will start to list their entire catalog. This should get the ball. They have a large catalog of material, which should keep you busy for a while.
I love melodic guitar with soul, always loved that type of guitarists. "In my mind, a good guitar solo will trigger emotions. I always keep that in mind when I create the solos" - quotes by Kanami on Guitar World January 2020.
Many of us saw Band-Maid play “From Now On” live. OMNG! Kanami riffed her ass off. The DB’s matched the BPM’s! So FROM NOW ON, Band-Maid will grow in popularity even faster as their awesome, sold out 10TH ANNIVERSARY TOUR wrapped up at Japan’s 17,000 seat Yokohama Arena on Nov. 26 and at Hong Kong. AND they dropped their new album, Epic Narratives, Sept. 25. Order now! The Maids are one of the hardest working supergroups in the business! Their music, their sound, each of the Maids... and the love that permeates their live events is an experience not to be missed. Hope you can catch them LIVE! Thx, Big Mike!
The Band-Maid pigeon hole is fun and enjoyable! Keep reacting to these talented ladies…they have paid their dues for 12 years. This was my first Band-Maid song and had the same reaction! There are +130 songs and they are all bangers! Kanami is a massive fan of Steve! 🤘🕊️🦍🥷👸🏻👀PO!
THE best band in the history of bands. IMHO. But also definitely true! PS They will NOT strike you in any way for playing songs from their YT channel without pausing.
Such a relief to hear!!!! Been a wild journey trying to figure this all out but I wouldn’t want to be doing anything else. The more I learn about this band, the more I’m starting to see why their fans are so loyal! Thank you for the comment & support
@@BigMikeReactions There's also a vlog on The Warning's channel about them working in Japan with Band-Maid. It's fantastic to see behind-the-scenes on how they made their first collaboration.
Fun reaction, Mike (hi from another Mike)! Subbed! I hope you do a lot more Band-Maid, they definitely have stuff you'll love. For Classic Rock/hair metal sounding stuff, try Take Me Higher, Freezer, and Turn Me On.
Thanks for the sub! Absolutely check it out! ❤️ the start of this! If anyone told me 6 weeks ago that I have to do deep dives into an all ladies heavy hard rock band from Japan, 2- 70 yr old white gangster rappers from the Uk, an all sister rock band from Mexico & a white welsh UK artist who can DO-IT-ALL including help others deal with their mental health issues while trying to battle Lyme disease??? No f&$cking way I would be excited or willing to start this channel!! But I am, I did & I ❤ IT!! Thank you for the comment!
I'm from Dallas and after seeing them in Houston last year I flew up to Minneapolis to see them play The Varsity in Dinky Town. I was one person off the rail right between MISA and Miku. Everything you hear them do in the music videos they do twice as good live. Unbelievable. And they're very funny too!
Lovebites is pretty straightforward power metal. Speed metal is sort of a lost category of music, since almost all metal bands will have fast stuff in their repertoire. It quickly got re-categorized as thrash metal for the most part. Band-maid has occasional metal riffs, but they have all sorts of other riffs in there as well, usually in every song. Generally rock, sure, but there's also a lot of classic rock, hair metal, punk, post-punk, pop, funk, jazz, etc, etc.
Thank you!!😊 I got told my video inspired a reaction so I had to come see 🤩 I'm really glad that that little video that I made months ago actually got someone to check out a BAND-MAID song 😊 I'm very happy right now Po 💜
Bandmaid love reactors. You can play anything all the way through. They have a ton of official lives and they enjoy the fancams when they are in the USA. Watch them in the bus on the day after. They do everything to make it easier for them. Only one of their videos has been problematic because it was a collab. Believe it or not they also spend significant time watching them.
@@BigMikeReactions See what happens when they do watch you guys! So far you have gone about a half a percent into Band Maid, not only do they have over 130 songs, they have the studio version, the live version and often an acoustic version. It keeps getting better, the live versions might make you speechless. At some point you might run across a short of Kanami putting her tiny hands in Steve Vai's "walk of fame?" hand prints. PRS also released a Kanami Limited-edition signature series guitar today, which seems like it has already sold out in the US. She has the few videos she has done for PRS, I think she could talk about guitars for hours, and we would all listen. According to Kanami she composes 3-1/2 hours a day and practices another 3-1/2 hours a day. All them practice constantly. In one interview Akane complained she does not get much time to play the drums on tour, a typical Band-Maid show it 2-1/2 hours long and with time spent playing for sound checks you have to wonder how long does she normally play the drums. She is the happiest drummer on earth you can tell in every show. You should not have any problems reacting to Band-Maid videos from their channel live or MV. The only time people have had problems getting blocked or strikes is when it is something that is not released on their channel. Since the music video of Thrill going viral on social media is what saved the band from being dropped from the label, they are one of first bands to embrace reactors.
MİKE,can i just say ,what a refreshing and enjoyable reaction you have done for this song,a proper in depth reaction, with your thoughts, thankyou, you will,i promise enjoy your Band Maid journey, you have my sub thankyou.
BANDMAID is the greatest proper rock and roll band of the 21st century IMHO. It's a crazy statement. Was Mozart the world's greatest composer of his era? He'll yeah! The farther we get away from that time the more clearly we see the immensity of his talent. Few would argue with the above assessment. Everytime I write "IMHO" after BandMaid is the greatest proper rock and roll band of the 21st century I feel like a liar. IMHO my ass! IMHO water is wet. BandMaid rules right now. 66 years old here big prog rock fan and classic rock fan!The future will prove us right. New sub here! Welcome Home newly minted Maidiac!
Oh shoot. Sorry Mike. I missed some of your talk. I gather you're from Minneapolis/St. Paul? (Based on Prince and Vikings.) lol. Anyway, Band-Maid performed at The Varsity in 2023. :) So, chances are they'll probably be back.
Zemaitis Guitars have been making a couple of Miku Kobato signature guitars since 2021. Miku learned guitar from Kanami when she moved to backup singer, so her band would have a better vocal and guitar sound. Just yesterday, Paul Reed Smith (PRS) Guitars released a limited edition (only 200) of their Kanami Tōno signature guitar. Kanami is the composer, with Miku doing most of the lyrics. That said, it all is a collaboration with input from Saiki, Misa, and Akane tweaking the composition and lyrics to optimize their performance both in the studio and live.
Thank you for this!! I am fascinated by these 4. I ❤️ how one met one who knew one and another. It’s the natural evolution of a successful band! Seriously though, I love hearing stuff like this. Makes me feel invested. Appreciate the insight & comment
Shambles, Rinne, Warning! All music videos. Regarding Miku-chan, most of the time, you rarely hear her guitar as she plays the rhythm so when you do hear it, sometimes it's in unison with Kanami-san. You'll mostly hear her singing the backup.
Kanami's guitar sings in a beautiful voice. It always does. This band has been on the (hard-)rock pitch for eleven years now and has created an uninterrupted string of brilliant songs, one more sparkling than the other. And then there are the live performances - concert experiences of the highest level. And before I forget: Saiki is the vocalist and she's an empress at the mike. This band is absolutely flawless.
"From Now On" is my favourite Band-Maid song (Kanami's guitar sings). It is Kanami's magnum opus, alongside "Black Hole". That said, if you like rap, try "Influencer" where Saiki does a little bit of rapping, and I am sure others will suggest more. You might like "Hate?", an intense break-up song featuring a great duel between Misa and Kanami.
Thank you! I forgot to write it down. Hate? Sounds good too! Black hole sun was insanely great! Thank you & yes… this was suppose to be more of a rap channel digging into independent or under the radar rap. I was a huge beat maker in the 90’s but I decided to let the community drive my path. So it basically went REN>>>The Warning >>> BAND-MAID. Throw in a couple over 70 yr old OG gangsta rappers & thats this channel. I know, crazy but it worked. Thanks again for the suggestions👊🤘👍
You better pace yourself as you got about a hundred more killer songs to go, double that if you add all the LIVE versions. And they are always coming out with new stuff too. Watch the PRS interview with Kanami and Dani from THE WARNING and you learn Kanami practices about 4 hours a day and composes 4 hours a day. Few rockers I grew up watching still did that after success hit.
Great reaction. Reminds me of the first time I heard their song. I guess a lot of Maidiacs recommend you to watch the documentary, but I suggest you to listen to their major/popular songs first. Because there are a lot of exciting solos, riffs and extended intro/outros. I think it's a shame to listen to these breathtaking things before listening to the song as a whole. BTW, I don't listen to speed/death metal either. I really don't like growling vocals.
Thank you!!! So happy you said that. I will for sure. Definitely would have hated missing out on reacting to tracks that are in the documentary so 🙏 so very much!!!👊👊🙌🤘🌺🌹🌷💐
Hi Mike! I’m Mike. 🤘🏽 I couldn’t be happier to hear when someone else listens to the quiet voice that guides you towards something. From one Prince/Van Halen/GnR fan to another: “DICE” official music video And then: “Freedom,” official live Never fear copyright infringement with the Maids. They love reactors and might be watching you themselves
Thank You!!! This comment is wonderful!!! Very thought provoking…. I’m gonna PIN my response to you MusicMike747, cause it’s an important subject I’m dealing with. You’re the best!!
🤣 Yeah they are fantastic. The only time I've seen them live (Aftershock 2022) they opened with this awesomeness. Utterly epic. Keep digging in. You will not be disappointed. Maybe try Puzzle, Moratorium, Bubble or Blooming.
BigMike, it is great to see someone enjoying Band-Maid so much. I found them in 2017 while watching Babymetal videos. I watched their Shinkiba Studio Coast okyuji and was hooked instantly. I would suggest that you listen to Rinne (Reincarnation) for some agressive playing. Akane kills it on the double kick drum pedals.
Thank you for the suggestions. I’m assuming Babymetal is pretty good too? Been seeing their names in the comments a lot on these videos. Appreciate the support
Welcome Home, Big Mike! PO!🕊️ Next? - “Hate?” - OLV - more guitar & bass 🔥 - “Daydreaming” - a mid-tempo showing the softer side (w/ a surprise) - OMV - “Memorable” - a salute to the fans on the 2022 US Tpur - OMV - “Influencer” - OMV - Saiki can rap? That’ll give you a taste of the Maid’s versatility. Take care and rock on! 🎼🎸🥁🎤🌎🙌🏼😃✌🏼☮️
NICE!!!! Really appreciate this. It Blows my mind they are not more in the mainstream in the US!! They are not only talented BUT their charisma is on a different level. Such a surprise to me going on this journey with this channel just how much amazing talent goes under the radar! Thanks again
I would suggest you watch Play (Official Live Video) to get a small piece of what Miku has learned to do. Especially, when she started from absolutely ZERO experience when she founded Band-Maid. I also think if you want to hear Saiki show some of her range, you need to listen to Manners/Blackhole live or her acoustic version of Puzzle.
Late to the party but had to comment. I love this band and your reactions are a great source of entertainment. I mean that sincerely. If you want to hear Saiki rap, here's a good one. influencer (Official Music Video)
I think someone else said that. Most definitely gotta check it out…💯% I appreciate you being entertained by me. These comments give me the confidence to be myself in front of the camera just turned up to 11. Can’t thank you & others for the support. Excited to watch the channel & community grow! 🙏👊🤘
Big Mike, Kanami does have one "speed metal" song that may blow your mind. I suggest you react to a two-fer music video by Band-Maid. "Manners/Black Hole", the official music video is a film that show the diversity of the band. "Manners" is a great bass-heavy funk groove and then "Black Hole" is a chaotic, frenetic speed metal song that makes you feel what it may be like to get pulled into a black hole. It's Band-Maid's fastest song at 220 beats per minute. It will leave you sweating! Afterward, just think of the difference between the two songs.
Well, i think It's about time and overdue for me to also say ‘Hello' and greetings from Germany. 😉🙋🏻♂ Yep, the ladies of Band-Maid can kick you somewhere very deep with their music while smiling sweetly, but believe me, in the next breath, they can rip your heart out just as well. :) When it comes to hard rock, these ladies are at the very end of the food chain for me and quite a few of us. 🔥🤘🏻 If you continue on this wonderful journey, and for someone who appreciates good guitarists and bassists, I'll already give you a few names to keep in the back of your head for the future: Midori, Miyako, F Choppa Koga, Hal-Ca.... 😇 Be prepared for a few more WOW-moments, because there is no shortage of good musicians in Japan these days, and the following quote is no exaggeration: ↓ 😉 _____________________ _"America invented rock. England improved it. And now, Japan has perfected it."_ Band-Maid | Gacharic Spin | Lovebites | Nemophila | East of Eden | Hanabie | Asterism | Trident | NEK! | Hades | etc.
Big Mike , Thanks for continuing down the BAND-MAID Pigeon hole , your doing fine with the names being only your 2nd BAIND-MAID , they use there instrumentals to give Saiki a break , also Miku has songs she sings to give Saiki a break , Song`s Domination official live or Hate ? official live , MISA !!! MISA !!! MISA !!! the Barefoot Bass Assassin , Go Vikings .
Glad you're healing up Mike, good on you. Kicking a Demon's ass is a great accomplishment....I'll be prayin' for ya. Whatever you do don't reacts to Band-Maid's "HATE?" LIVE....... you may never recover from that one......LOL! Here's you Official "Unofficial Band-Maid Members Cheat Sheet". I always remember things better once I "see" them as a visual reference. Band-Maid Is: *Akane Hirose (Ah-kah-nee or Ah-kah-nay) -Drums, Nickname: “Ah-chan” and "Gorilla" because she eats lots of bananas for her stamina and is a BEAST on drums. Lost her "little hat" back in 2018....a sad day indeed....you'll find out about the hat the more you get into them.. *MISA (Mee-sah) - Bass Guitar, Nickname: "The Barefoot Assassin" MISA always performs barefoot as she states she likes to feel Akane’s kick drum through her feet, and just murders that bass. *Kanami Tono (Kah-nah-mee) - Lead Guitar/Genius Songwriter, Nickname: "Mincho" “Kanamincho” ……Miku’s guitar Sensei. Kanami is the driving force behind Band-Maid as she challenges the girls to be the best and pull out the God given talent they never knew they had in them. *Miku Kobato (Mee-koo) - Band-Maid Spokesperson/Rhythm Guitar/Lyricist/Founder/Backing Vocals/Lead Vocals…hardest working girl in music. Nickname: "Little Pigeon" (Miku’s surname means “Little Pigeon”) ....po! Getting caught up in Band-Maid means going down the “Pigeon Hole”…….. no rabbits here. Miku is a former Maid-Cafe employee and Japanese Idol. *Saiki Atsumi (Sy-kee) -Lead Vocals Nickname: "The Princess" “Si-chan”. I call Saiki "The Princess" but Miku is The Queen….. Saiki is Kanami’s “crush”......and Saiki just keeps getting prettier as the years move on.
You're not always aware of what Miku is doing, because she has grown into a great rhythm guitarist who read the brief. She is so solid in what she does, chugging away at the heart of everything that everyone else can be virtuosos. Whatever Kanami, Misa and Akane are doing, Miku has their back. When Kanami writes a song, she always writes Miku's part last; I don't think that that's because it's an afterthought, but because by then she can see what's missing.
How dramatic that you were led to this song by Steve Vai's words. There must be a reason why you memorized all of their Japanese names, which are probably difficult for you to pronounce. At the same time, there must be a similar reason why you don't feel any lack of enthusiasm for instrumental songs, even though Saiki's vocals are essential to the group. I think this has to do with the fact that Kanami, who can play guitar so well, is dedicated to improving the quality of the songs without becoming ridiculously technical. BAND-MAID has many other excellent songs, including instrumental songs. I hope you will continue to enjoy your BAND-MAID journey "from now on".😊 (Greets from Japan.)
THIS IS A RESPONSE I THINK EVERYONE NEEDS TO READ!! THANK YOU………
I apologize in advance…..it is quite quite long but was very therapeutic & even more helpful to help me process this VERY VERY new & recent path I’m on here on YT & this channel. Special SHOUT OUT to @MusicMike for triggering this!!😁🤔🤘
SO……My stance on copyright rules, fair use & all the BS in this music reaction genre.
It took time but within 5-6 months I got my license, a car & a nicer place & moved here🥹
I still deal but now I use my experience & try to tell my stories & share my trauma in hopes I can do what my family did for me.
Thank you
We all owe you gratitude and thanks V! You and O rock!!
👍🤘😂🤣🙌💯% ON BOARD!! 🙏
How refreshing, someone who has put a bit of time & thought into a reaction instead of a 4½min like & subscribe effort. Cheers Mike.👍

@MusicMike747 Hiya Mike.😁🍻
🙄
Saiki = Sigh/Key😊
Love Kanami"s style. I recognize her playing anywhere I hear it...
Ps all on them are musical monsters
If you want to hear Saiki do Wonderland
You know Big Mike, I had almost the exact same reaction the first time I heard this song. Now I’m probably on my 600tb listen. And I STILL have that same reaction! I honestly did not know that rock bands were capable of producing music like this. Absolutely stunning!
These amazing women have spent the majority of their adult life as BAND-MAID, the time, effort and energy the Maids give to their craft individually and collectively speaks volumes to their incredible commitment to music. They are without doubt one of the very best things to happen to my world, enjoy 👍🍻
Damn right, Bruno. Kanpai.😁🍻
@GaryHolloway-810 Cheers GH and right back at you 🤗👍🍻
U will, just spectating the beautiful scenery here!! Thank you for the comment! Communities like this are so special!! I appreciate it
You’re welcome to your new favorite band.
120+ more songs to listen to. Many of them are very good. The others are just pure divine awesomeness.
You wanna something very catchy ? Dice (the MV) Or Freedom (official live)
Something more agressive straight in your face ? Warning! (The MV)
A live masterclass ? Hate? (Official live)
A nice mid-tempo ballad ? Daydreaming (MV)
A progressive… well.. just listen to it : Forbidden Tale (MV)
The beginning of their hard rock journey, 10 years ago ? Thrill (MV)
I really appreciate you taking the time to put this together. Gonna catch up w/ a doc on them someone recommended. Amazing the catalog they have & the following. So impressed by it all. Thank you!
well were waiting you to watch the documentary nice reaction mike new sub here in the phillippines
They literally became muy emotional crutch during the pandemic. Freedom live and Akane's drum solo was my everyday sunny mind spot.
No need for Saiki in this track, Kanami did the singing herself 😉
You should watch Don’t You Tell ME (live). It’s more your tempo, and Kanami gets to show off a bit with Misa. Or you might enjoy another instrumental like Onset.
She did until she made it cry those beautiful notes!!! She’s a wonder!!! Thank you for that clever comment!! It’s on the list for sure !!! 👊🙌
Look up PRS Guitars Japan. There is a surprise there waiting for you, Po! 🕊️
Kanami isn't just a guitarist. She's the author of this whole mess.
I call it an organized mess!! 🤘👊
Well said! But I think you meant to say, "GLORIOUS mess" 😊 (that's thought-out to the Nth degree)
Best regards,
Robert-Gilles Martineau
Thank you so much! I really appreciate this & the comment!!! These ladies are truly something special! So happy I found them & hope to do this for a long time!! Thank you for the support!!
@@BigMikeReactions You are most welcome, mate!
I have been listening to music seriously since 1974. Band-Maid is my favorite band ❤🤘
Thanks for the reation man! Dont worry, they wont stress you with copyright shit... its Band Maid!
Kanami just got a PRS signature model. Says it all.
O Yea!!!
@zinoviylubman5553 limited edition of 200 at about $7k reportedly sold out in 24hrs
They are rock and roll guardian angels and the best hard rock band on this planet🤘Keep an eye on them!!
👀 I WILL!
1) Real Existence (Live)
2) Non-Fiction Days (MV)
3) Thrill (MV)
4) Alone (MV)
5) Moratorium (Live)
6) Puzzle (Live)
7) Secret My Lips (MV)
8) Dice (MV)
9) Onset (Live Instrumental)
10) Blooming (MV)
I better stop there; otherwise, I will start to list their entire catalog. This should get the ball. They have a large catalog of material, which should keep you busy for a while.
Do a 2fer. Secret my Lips then Secret Maiko Lips. Your mind will be BLOWN.
I love melodic guitar with soul, always loved that type of guitarists.
"In my mind, a good guitar solo will trigger emotions. I always keep that in mind when I create the solos"
- quotes by Kanami on Guitar World January 2020.
I saw and heard them play this live.
RIDICULOUS🔥🔥🔥
I hope so too!! 🤞 If I could go to Japan.. they would be #1 on my list followed by NJPW! Though the best ones are in AEW 😳 Appreciate the support!
Love your reaction, it's fun to watch your passionate. Enjoy the journey.
Ps. PRS guitar just launch the Kanami signature model this week, this show how great she is.
I am having fun doing this. Thank you and I really appreciate the thoughtful comment 🤘👊
Kanami had her signature PRS Custom 24 released today, and they're beautiful, and $6000.
And limited to a production of only 200.
And all 200 sold out in one day!
Thanks Mike, another great reaction.
When Prince died we lost the most talented musical artist in the world.
No question about that
A customer turned me on to his solo live set that's on UA-cam if you haven't seen it. Amazing stuff.
It's time for the documentaries, I think. Look up Ohrenje.
On them or the genre? If them then absolutely!! 👍 They are so fascinating right now. Thank you for that. I assume in YT??? Of course 🙄 BOO ME!!😁
@@BigMikeReactions On them. There is one for each member, except for Miku, who has 3. 🕊️🕊️🕊️ Also, the short is from Ohrenje and Violet.
@@BigMikeReactions There's also a vlog on The Warning's channel about them working in Japan with Band-Maid. It's fantastic to see behind-the-scenes on how they made their first collaboration.
@@BigMikeReactionsFor the documentaries you should do it in order Saiki>Kanami>Akane>Misa>Miku
Fun reaction, Mike (hi from another Mike)! Subbed! I hope you do a lot more Band-Maid, they definitely have stuff you'll love. For Classic Rock/hair metal sounding stuff, try Take Me Higher, Freezer, and Turn Me On.
Vai's line of guitars is for Ibanez. Saw him a couple of weeks ago with the King Crimson "cover band" called Beat that's touring now. 😄
I hope they come back. They look like they have so much fun on stage. Thank you for letting me know 👊🙏
👍BAND-MAID is awesome. I consider them a rock band. Speed metal for me would be LOVEBITES, which I also like. I like your reactions. 🖖❤
Really appreciate that! This was nostalgic & fun + knowing more about them makes it better!!
@@mikeholmes5308 Thanks for the information. I appreciate it. Dare I say I also like Kawaii metal😁. 🖖❤
Yep, besides being a genius composer (writes the bands music) she is a guitar wizard 🤘🤘
17:55 KANAMIとAKANEがお互いを鼓舞するかのように引き立て合う場面がとても好きです。
"Why isn't this on Guitar Hero?"
Because it would injure people. Can't have players breakin' their fingers trying to match what Kanami is doing.
Had me sweating and swearing!! She is a true gem!!
And shout to Viiolet! 💜
Thank you!!😊 I got told my video inspired a reaction so I had to come see 🤩 I'm really glad that that little video that I made months ago actually got someone to check out a BAND-MAID song 😊 I'm very happy right now Po 💜
@MoeViiOlet Saw this too! You reaching out really made my night. The passion of this fan base is unmatched & just happy to be along for the ride!
So many BM songs to recommend. Try "Onset" instrumental, "Puzzle", "Blooming", "Dice" to name a few, They will blow your mind.
Thank you! This was so much fun to do. I can’t wait to see more! Appreciate the comment.
@@BigMikeReactions See what happens when they do watch you guys! What happened at the show to Mr Rock ad Roll....
1st time - The Moment Band-Maid Recognized Me!!! ua-cam.com/video/CEs5xvYQsIs/v-deo.htmlsi=5DcwjGghiaOATjzH
2nd time - The Moment Band-Maid Recognized Me AGAIN!!! ua-cam.com/video/lhBfc9g7kM8/v-deo.htmlsi=Exd9Wj6Y-CLNIFL0
Yes, and they have even recognized certain reactors in their audiences and have pointed them out. They are a fun group.
@uffdad8211 yes Mr Rock and roll is a standout and Michelle is super buddies with mincho.
Now you know what Kanami is capable of........
Yup, you got them right 👍😎😊
YES!!! Loving this journey! Appreciate the comment
SKOL!Band-Maid!
Try "Don't Be Long" and "Without Holding Back" for more instrumental greatness from Band-Maid!
Appreciate that. I can see the potential & I can’t believe I’m just starting. There catalog is dense AF!!! Thank you
Jus LOVE your reactions !!!
Your a natural .....
Thank you so much!! I love doing this & a little surprised how fast it happened. I have you guys to thank! It means the world to me.
Oh shoot.
Watch NO GOD live from their online concert several years ago or HATE? live from Yokohama Arena if you really want to see how good Misa is.
Great reaction . Wait till you hear an older song Band-Maid Real Existence live . Put om your seat belt .
Definitely would have hated missing out on reacting to tracks that are in the documentary so 🙏 so very much!!!👊👊🙌🤘🌺🌹🌷💐
Hi Mike! I’m Mike. 🤘🏽
I couldn’t be happier to hear when someone else listens to the quiet voice that guides you towards something.
From one Prince/Van Halen/GnR fan to another: “DICE” official music video
And then: “Freedom,” official live
Never fear copyright infringement with the Maids. They love reactors and might be watching you themselves
Thank You!!! This comment is wonderful!!! Very thought provoking…. I’m gonna PIN my response to you MusicMike747, cause it’s an important subject I’m dealing with. You’re the best!!
Your pronunciation of their names was better than most, actually...
Full disclosure… worked on it before recording 🤣 So excited for more! They are a breath of fresh air & such a deep catalog. Thank you for the comment
🤣 Yeah they are fantastic. The only time I've seen them live (Aftershock 2022) they opened with this awesomeness. Utterly epic. Keep digging in. You will not be disappointed. Maybe try Puzzle, Moratorium, Bubble or Blooming.
Absolutely!! Thank you for those
BigMike, it is great to see someone enjoying Band-Maid so much.
BM has a lot of instrumentals songs and instrumental version of them regular songs.
On set
Don´t belong
Without holding back
Get to the top
Appreciate it & thank you
I think you’ll like SENSE (OMV).
On the list! Very popular recommendation. Thank you 🤘
Welcome Home, Big Mike! PO!🕊️
Next?
- “Hate?” - OLV - more guitar & bass 🔥
- “Daydreaming” - a mid-tempo showing the softer side (w/ a surprise) - OMV
- “Memorable” - a salute to the fans on the 2022 US Tpur - OMV
- “Influencer” - OMV - Saiki can rap?
KANAMIのギター MISAのベース AKANEのドラムSAIKIのボーカルが注目されますがドキュメンタリーで🌹MIKU🕊️のファンになる人多数。
Late to the party but had to comment. I love this band and your reactions are a great source of entertainment. I mean that sincerely. If you want to hear Saiki rap, here's a good one. influencer (Official Music Video)
I think someone else said that. Most definitely gotta check it out…💯%
I appreciate you being entertained by me.
Mike, you pronounce Saiki's name like this, sigh kee. Hope that helps.
😏❤️🎙🎸🥁😎🤘
Well, i think It's about time and overdue for me to also say ‘Hello' and greetings from Germany. 😉🙋🏻♂
Yep, the ladies of Band-Maid can kick you somewhere very deep with their music while smiling sweetly, but believe me, in the next breath, they can rip your heart out just as well. :) When it comes to hard rock, these ladies are at the very end of the food chain for me and quite a few of us. 🔥🤘🏻
If you continue on this wonderful journey, and for someone who appreciates good guitarists and bassists, I'll already give you a few names to keep in the back of your head for the future: Midori, Miyako, F Choppa Koga, Hal-Ca.... 😇 Be prepared for a few more WOW-moments, because there is no shortage of good musicians in Japan these days, and the following quote is no exaggeration: ↓ 😉

Band-Maid Is:
*Akane Hirose (Ah-kah-nee or Ah-kah-nay) -Drums, Nickname: “Ah-chan” and "Gorilla" because she eats lots of bananas for her stamina and is a BEAST on drums.
💜💛❤(💙)💚
After yesterdays wonderful news, this had an even bigger impact on me. Kanami🥰
More Miku? Do Sayonakidori acoustic.
Try 'Onset' live, another instrumental, particularly as you like Eddie Van Halen
JJ Rocks
@@me262talon2 Not "THE" Talon? You know, "THE" Talon. I knew someone with that name once.🤔
I hope you will continue to enjoy your BAND-MAID journey "from now on".😊
(Greets from Japan.)
😁🤩🥰😍🕊👀🍻
