Hello Angela, I'm an entry level corporate banker. Started watching you recently and I really learnt a lot from your videos, your explanations are very clear and entertaining. I hope to see more of you in the future!
Thanks for your effort and time in your vlogs. Your vlogs help me a lot for my career. I have always wanted to work at an investment firm as a financial analyst. I'm supporting your vlogs and looking forward your future vlogs.
Angela, thank you for your time and effort in these videos. As someone who started in IB and has since moved to PWM, I appreciate people who give people alternatives, other than staying in their curent division/career track. Are you planning to stay in IB for the foreseeable future? Thanks again and best of luck with the channel.
Hi Peter, congrats on making your switch and hope things have been going well for you since. I've actually recently made a switch from investment banking to corporate development.
@@angelasunx3 Congratulations to you as well, are you still with a bulge bracket bank or have you gone to a tech venture/company ? Thanks for responding and I hope you are satisfied/happy with your career move.
Yep! One big difference is that asset managers focus specifically on growing an investor's money, while wealth managers take a much more holistic view at the client's overall financial situation to make sure their wealth is protected (retirement planning, tax planning, estate planning, etc.).
@@angelasunx3 Wow thanks for the response!! I appreciate it! Can you tell me the difficulty of getting into these practices, salary, hours, and bonus percentage as compared to investment banking?
I'm very happy I found your channel! I'm currently a (5th year) senior in college and I changed my major to financial management at the beginning of my junior year, with the hopes of becoming an analyst. I've always wanted to become an investment banking analyst so your page has helped me a lot!
im in a mba program for business/finance and I find that I struggle in certain math classes. Is it necessary to be a math genius to get a good job in this field, because I really wanna stay in this program and not succeed. Thank you
You’ll probably be doing a lot of the math in excel or other analytical softwares, but understanding the reasoning behind it is the most important part
Hey Angela, loving the videos! - just wanted to ask about your opinion on CFA in relevance to investment banking, how useful is it and does it help out in career progression.
That's a great video 😁 Angela. I want to ask a question Which specific concepts you know will be asked for financial analyst job after BBA graduation. Concepts like financial modeling, budgeting etc.
I've seen most of your videos and love your work. My dreams is to work as an investment banker in new york but I've just finished my year 10 of my schooling, my question to you is that since you are telling that analysts, associates work for almost around for 2-3 years before they get promoted to the next level, Do they get promoted on the basis of their performance or its mandatory to promote them after 2-3 years of experience???
Thanks Yash! At the junior level, you'll generally always get promoted on a set time frame unless you do poorly (in which case they either don't promote you, or fire you - however both are rare at junior levels, and you usually have some indication if that's the case.)
Can you make a video related to your investing habits? Not necessarily the exact trades you make but rough guidelines about your general strategy as far as percent of Salary put to the side each month? I think I am going to start doing that with ETFs but don't know much about it.
If one’s math is weak can he still pursue the above mentioned business majors, could you please make a vide on what skills do you require for each and every program and good should be your math, also really appreciate your hard work and thank you for this amazing video
Entry level jobs are a joke tbh cus alot ask for experience that usually isn’t college related. I regret not getting a internship before graduating cus I now I can’t find any
I wanted to focus on ones you can go into straight with an undergrad business degree - PE's generally an exit opp from IB and they rarely recruit straight from undergrad
@@mo4105 nah not really. if she actually put the effort in she couldve included fldp, asset management, corporate banking and so forth rather than those generic ones
Clear and to the point as usual, thank you for this video !
Thanks so much! Glad you found it helpful
Thank you , this is very helpful. I really only understood investment banking. I like hearing about other types of jobs too.
Great! Wanted to touch on some other paths too aside from just IB.

Thank you for sharing. Your video is very informative and helpful for me as a freshman finance major trying to explore careers in finance.
So glad! Best of luck in everything.

Awesome, I'm glad!
Hoping to go into investment banking, and then move laterally into a Hedge Fund role!
Best of luck!!

Love it! Can you further discuss the differences in wealth management vs asset management?

@@meganmitchell1022 not necessarily. The math gets me sometimes too, you just have to do a lot of practice problems

Hey Angela, this was a great video 💯. The background animations were also amazing. Where did you get them from?
Thanks Sarvesh! They're from this website called Pexels

Hey Angela, loving the videos! - just wanted to ask about your opinion on CFA in relevance to investment banking, how useful is it and does it help out in career progression.
CFA's a great and well respected credential; however, in relevance to investment banking, there's little overlap in topics you'd need to know.
That's a great video 😁 Angela.
I want to ask a question
Which specific concepts you know will be asked for financial analyst job after BBA graduation.
Concepts like financial modeling, budgeting etc.
Usually general corporate finance questions / accounting / financial modeling concepts
@@angelasunx3 where do you recommend one to self learn corporate finance questions / accounting / financial modeling concepts

hey angela, i want to become an investment banker one day! it seems like a pretty cool job
Go for it!
Congrats on 10k Followers!
Thanks Simon!
thanks for sharing! i have a question, to get a junior analyst role in hedge fund, does it require banking/HF internship experience?
Doesn't require it, but it helps
If one’s math is weak can he still pursue the above mentioned business majors, could you please make a vide on what skills do you require for each and every program and good should be your math, also really appreciate your hard work and thank you for this amazing video
Thanks Dhruv! For most of these you don't need to be a math whiz, especially not for management consulting or wealth management.
@@angelasunx3 in wealth management do they have to use alot of excel( 3 model, capm) and powerpoint for nice slides too?
Targeting PE!! 💪🏻
Good luck!

how come you didn’t include PE ?
I wanted to focus on ones you can go into straight with an undergrad business degree - PE's generally an exit opp from IB and they rarely recruit straight from undergrad
Really i don't know what u talking (I'm just 11th) anyway congrats on 10k
Thanks!
how does one enter the hedge fund industry?
Some go straight from undergrad, others go into it after having some finance experience already like IB or S&T
@@angelasunx3 thank you!! Can you do a video of some of your routine / habits? Wondering how you cook/ do housework etv
finnaly been looking for this, want to be youtube friends?
Sure!
What about Private Equity?
Generally more of an exit opp after IB - wanted this to be focused more on ones you can enter straight into from undergrad
Whatever you told in the video is regarding mba in finance? right because I have no idea any of what you told
Applies for undergrad too
Private equity...
~private equity~
honestly too obvious. give us a better video next time plz
That's a pretty rude and entitled comment. If you already knew what was explained in the video, others might not necessarily know it yet.
