Hi all! Let me know your thoughts on the questions I was asked and whether you personally relate to the burning height question 🔥 (P.S. thank you for excusing my post edit look ahaha)

Hi Jeanette, I appreciate so much how you answered the question about height! Being a tall professional dancer I have seen around me what you talked about. You touched sensitive topics, that need to evolve in the ballet world, with clarity and truthfulness.
    Thank you for that! 🫶🏼💛

Hey Giulia, thanks for saying that 🙏 it was a hard thing to talk about with sensitivity because of course nobody can help how they're born and I don't think it's ever going to change that there's more females interested in the industries than males. However, I hate for women to end up with the short end of the stick every time but being told it's *their* fault.

I have crap feet. The best thing that I do is I work on the fascia in the front of my shins and the tops of my ankles and metatarsals. If that's not loose, I can't extend my ankle in plantar flexion very much. I do this as part of my warm-up so my feet are at their very bendy best during class when I can work on strength. It's been an absolute game changer!

Those are both really great suggestions! In recent years, I warm my feet up with yoga stretches like downward dog and that's enough for me. But I also spoke on a previous video about ankle strengthening using a yoga block to do releves. Similarly, stretching out the calves and ankles on a block used to be my warmup of choice years ago. 😅 Glad you've found what works for you!
