Congratulations to you and to Jinhao on the wonderful news. Baby Zhang Kakareka is blessed to have you as their parents. I am aunt and godparent with these bits of advice. Make sure you have bonding time with your baby after giving birth before introducing them to other family members and friends. One of my best friends’ dad immediately had their friends over as they were so excited about being first time grandparents. When I got to see the new baby, my friend pulled me aside and thanked me for waiting unlike their dad’s friends. Make sure you get lots and lots of photos and videos of your baby as they will change and grow pretty fast.
By the way, I love your new haircut. And enjoy your time off from the ballet. You will come back a stronger dancer than ever before!
"Luckily" we will avoid that since both our families are on separate continents 😆😆 I'm glad you were able to be understanding of your friend! It's really really important that people are not only understanding of quality time with the baby for parents, but also that they are not supposed to come over and sit around as expectant guests!!! For the love of god please help the new parents 😅
But actually I think our family and friends are quite understanding of all this and we will be all good on those points. 🥰 Thank you for your well wishes and also the haircut comment hehe

Thank you! ☺ if you are referring to the safety protection in Germany, this actually refers to ALL pregnancies in Germany. 😅 If your job is considered dangerous during pregnancy you are protected to stop, your position is secure, and you are paid. Being protected like that is WONDERFUL but it actually brings some challenges with being a dancer and some day later wishing to return to my job, but nothing I can't handle. 😊
@@jeanettekakareka yes sure and also I was referring to the fact that before, no so far from now, it was not good for ballet dancers to have kids during their career because they didn't know if they will still have their places in the company when they come back. But yes, it's good for you and your family to have all of these protections 😄
@@clmntlbrn yeah honestly can't say if much changed for women who are dancers in other countries. I think a LOT of women regardless of career choice are sort of forced back to work prematurely for that reason, which is so sad. In the US generally there's very little support for paid leave.

@@yufeiyang2024 I'm not sure, I think the 1st was my one sister/winter off 😅 I was so tired because the 1st trimester fatigue was hitting me straight away. But I finished on the 6th with a double show and it was a journey! 😆 Thank you! Hope you'll be back soon, my husband will be dancing "Onegin" during our Ballet Festival Week so maybe you would enjoy watching that, still a story ballet but a tragedy. 🥲

Congrats! I don't have any video recommendations but I do advise you to be ready for random people considering your tummy to be public property and touching you without asking first. It's a thing. Practice saying "back off". Also, (as a former dancer) your body awareness and muscle control will come in super handy during transition when they are telling you to relax. Enjoy it and Happy Baby time!
Thank you 🥰 yeah I've seen so many funny videos of pregnant women making a reel out of that "no petting please no pet" audio 😂 I just hope in Germany people aren't as comfortable intruding on someone's personal space, but let's see haha
