I'm an American - still love his music, and a few songs of the newest CD (pictures from the other side, changes) are fantastic! He's authentic, as you know, some people just hate happy cheery types that make others smile - because they're morbidly depressed, God help them.
We saw him in Footloose a few years ago in York - he deserves his fame - he was very, very good, and has overcome some serious personal challenges. Well done to you, Gareth Gates.
The first thing to do is not give a shit about it. Did wonders for me. If someone doesn't want to listen to you, theyre not worth your time. I'm 38 now.
the window at 1:48 slays me every time I've seen this! and I love hearing flawless, absolutely flawless (the massively important and talented George Michael!) it's funny hearing the hate directed at him in this comment section. wtF is wrong with you guys saying the mean stuff? he's a nice man, he beat his stammer, and I know him in America. He had some big hits around the world, "Unchained Melody", "Spirit in the Sky", "Suspicious Minds", "Anyone of Us", and CHANGES is one of my favorite songs. Love you dude, wherever you are, singing and bringing smiles to your fans
The funny thing is I didn't remember is stutter, but is talent. But saw him of This Morning, and it's great example to speak in public. Very inspiring .
"You can struggle with words, but you don't struggle with melody", It's exactly the same when a person that stammers talks along with other people e.g reading a book out loud is hard, read it along with other people is easy. Please someone, find a connection, and find a fucking cure.
Wow! Just shows you that you have to believe in yourself... I didn't know he was a pop singer. I saw him perform Empty Chairs at Empty Tables here on youtube and thought he was incredible! Love a success story always!
I have a lisp and was badly bullied at school. It defines them not me. Now aged 53, I have been married for 30 years, still very much in love with my stunning wife, seen some great things and worked with some good people and some idiots who point out my lisp. People ask me why I don't get speech therapy. Why should !? My lisp doesn't bother me. If it bothers you, tough!
me too...when i was 15...but it took around 6 monthes to overcome...it's hard at first, but just try relaxing before speaking out ^^ don't rush, take a deep breath, say it slowly..and you will one day recover ^^ good luck ^^
I am canadian...first time i watched this. i have to say i stutter myself. but when i sing i dont sutter at all. Dumple, stutters arent freaks. when we are talking our brain is thinking about other stuff...not the words we are saying. but when we are singing the lyrics are in our head. stuttering can be embrassing especially for the stutter. trust me i know. he is soo brave.
I am also a stutterer. I can help you in that, there is a social community of stutterers known as social stutter which organise video chat on hangout in which you can share your feelings and discuss also on some topic so that you can control your stuttering . You can find social stutter on facebook . For more information you can visit their website 😄
@Pmccaff2009 No, I saw him performing Joseph and the Amazing Techni-colour Dreamcoat and at the talking parts he had no stutter at all. He's overcome it a lot now :D I think it might come back every now and then but rarely ;)
Hör auf ich Stottere auch und ich wäre froh wenn das mein einziges Problem wäre... ich habe gerade meine Brille gesucht wo ein Bügel fehlt aber egal 😂Hauptsache ich sehe wieder was
@@shifty2755 When you sing you use a different part of the brain, the left part of the brain controls speech, and when you sing that left part isn't being used. the right side of the brain however is being used, obviously this is only been researched in Iowa and may be prone to scrutiny of accuracy.
@Naruto0519 he's in Les Misérables doing tour for the 25th anniversary atm, i think he likes being in the theatre. i know no new songs :( he was on dancing on ice 2008 also.
I really saddened by his speech problem... He is in the battle of stammer. 😭. I like his song very pleasing to my ear way back in 2000's. Few of his songs that I repeatedly listens are "Anyone of us (stupid mistake) and" So isn't so". Tsk Tsk. Pray for you, Gareth Gates. 🙏
It is 2022 and here I am, watching Gareth's clips on youtube. Still admire him, so adorable and great!!
Stay happy stay motivated 🤗💙💖
God give u peace

American?... America its a CONTINENT from Argentina to Canadá, not a country called United States. Even the name America its in Spanish.
We saw him in Footloose a few years ago in York - he deserves his fame - he was very, very good, and has overcome some serious personal challenges. Well done to you, Gareth Gates.

Simon Cowell already knew Gareth Gates and told him to audition for pop idol!
What a brilliant artist with a great singing talent. It must have been very scary for him the on the day of the interview.
Very handsome##
couldn't be any cuter than those scenes with George Michael's Flawless playing! LOL
I like his hair
Gareth Gates is a superstar.
Yes my idol

Hallo

me too ... but when im nervous its something else
Same x2
It's all about the breathing. It changes when you sing.
i don't stammer when i have secks either

@Naruto0519
he's in Les Misérables doing tour for the 25th anniversary atm, i think he likes being in the theatre. i know no new songs :( he was on dancing on ice 2008 also.
I loved him when I was in school...thought he was robbed on the final night! Will Young always annoyed me
aaww bless him!
He lives in England. He's not asthmatic, he stutters.
Oh, I didn't know abt his problem. Great guy and great singer.
1:48 haha. :D
he's cute.
@JennyLian14 Yeah its his sister, I'm pretty sure her names Nicky/Nicola
I guess he sang the full versus and chorus as the most do. However, in this clip the acapella performance was cut down to just a few lines.
Served me in Tescos last week. Still can't talk properly.
i remember this when it was on TV. i wanted Gareth Gates to win but Will Young won. What year was this? i've forgot.
1972
Bless him and his dads suit jacket

he still stutters but not as bad as before :)
