      @@CasuallyHuman099 Nah thats too much. Compare the Specs to the 780m which was sometimes better, sometimes worse than the 1050 Ti.
      780m -> 768 shading unites RDNA3, offen 2.2 to 2.7 GHz clock
      890M -> 1024 shading unites RDNA3.5(Just a refresh), offen 2.4 to 2.9 GHz.
      Based on that I think it would be more a GTX 1650 competitor, also depends on the wattage the 890M can use.

    It’s nice to see the computer in daylight instead of a bizarre shadowless hyper-nerd cave wrapped in soft neon colors among boxes of old processors like most channels. Neat.
    The gaming performance on these isn’t bad, but we’re likely to see far better with strix halo. The amazing thing is the raw compute these chips are capable of. That ser9 is 93% faster in multi core than an overclocked 9900k. Wild.

    There is a different perspective when it comes to buying Mini PCs that a lot don't see.
    Yes, I get it, some of them may seem a bit priced and you might think that I could get a beast of a PC for the same price... That is absolutely true, but here is the problem. Big PCs that are more than your needs will consume so much power costing you hefty electricity bills. That big PC will cost you twice its price over 2-3 years time.
    I had an average PC build before (ryzen 3700x + RX 5700) where I use it 7-10 hours daily. Recently I switched to a Mini PC that consume 10W when browsing and 50-60W when gaming. My electricity bill went down by ~$55. You see, I am saving that much on monthly bills, over 2 years time, that would be almost $1000 electricity money saved. So, I could buy a brand new Mini PC every year for $1000 and it would still be cheaper than buying a full tower PC. When you buy a monitor or PC, just think about their power consumption and it will make a difference to your life.
    If a powerful PC generating you money (you're youtuber or content creator) sure, go spend as much as you can. But for average user who does light gaming and mostly browsing/productivity. You really should look for efficiency. This Ryzen SER9 is what going to save you money. I personally have Ryzen SER8 and its doing everything I need. Temperature never go beyond 65 and this little thing is powerful as can be. I bought it 2nd hand (semi brand new! the previous owner used it for 2 months only) for $450.
    What do I do with the money I am saving? Well, I try to invest as much as I can slowly in funds and great stocks such as AMD, Nvidia, Google...etc. I am done wasting money on nonsense and bills.
    Cheers!

    I think the part that blows my mind is, is that I ran a 1060 In cyberpunk. without FSR, I got maybe 50's at 1080p lowest. took quality FSR to hit that 60fps. and the fact this iGPU did that at native. That's pretty cool. I'd love to have one as my own personal Steam home console for the living room.

    I'm gonna keep saying it because it continues to be true: they need to pair this max spec igpu with a mid range cpu core that's actually reasonably priced. It makes absolutely no sense to only pair the highest end igpu with the highest end cpu cores since the highest end cpu cores benefit the most from a dgpu. $999USD prices this way past the basic dgpu mini pcs and laptops. And the price is revealed as totally absurd when you compare it to what else you can get like for $970 you can get the same ram amount of ram and storage but with a 12900h and a 4060 which absolutely blasts this thing out of the water in gaming performance.

    I think for most demanding 3D games there are too many compromises in place to get a working frame-rate with acceptable fidelity - these Mini PCs are "still" ideally suited to low profile work set-ups and on the gaming side, less demanding games / emulation. They are a bit pricey for gaming still, so on a budget, may as well just pick up the Series S and have a better overall experience.

    You tried to see how far you can push it using frame generation and upscaling software of various kinds? There are also DXVK solutions for some games to convert DX9 to DX11 API into Vulkan, but it's for specific niche cases like where huge sums of draw calls bogs down the api.
    Not as useful for Elden Ring btw since if you use online it doesn't like it if you mess with any of the files.
    Elden Ring might require you to use AMD Adrenaline tweaks to enable frame gen 2.0 with their super resolution functions.
