i beat this DLC the night before crisis core came out LMAO! speaking of, i'm streaming crisis core for the rest of the year if you want to some hang out! www.twitch.tv/permanentviolet
A fun thing to think about for the future... Nero can't die unless his opposite (Weiss) murders him. Nero's bathed in pure negative/Jenova/black/alien LifeStream, which has undead properties. He can suck up negative, depressed people who give up hope...and make minions out of them. Fun! Weiss is bathed in pure white LifeStream. Though beyond the big finale of dirge, hard to say how that could play going forward.
@39:20 SAME, HONESTLY. this was where i nearly fell off my couch and started crying uncontrollably lmao this dlc was so much fun, and i'm so glad you had fun with it too! hopefully i'll be able to pop in on your stream of Crisis Core once i finish it up myself. another fantastic video, Violet!
I was not a big Yuffie fan prior to this DLC either. Every character has been expanded on in such a loving way with these games (both in personality and playstyle) where I cannot help loving each of them. I don’t know how I will ever narrow a party down to three members in the future 😅
Me in the original game: "I'll get Yuffie just so I have all the party members but I'll never use her so I don't have to read her dumb dialogue and cus she's just a bad character." Me now because of this DLC: "Yuffie is gonna be on my team 24/7 and the only time she won't be is if it's literally impossible for me to put her in the party." Also me now: "...How are they going to make Vincent play?"
I just know that going to Wutai this time is going to be absolutely heart-wrenching, what with the spruced up war-torn backstory they've already given the place as well the upcoming corporate scheme to initiate WW2 (Wutai War II) that Shinra were building up over the course of Remake... Heck, having to see Yuffie get inadvertently subjected to insensitive comments (most probably from Barret, given his anti-Wutai hostility) is going to be hard enough... Also: "How are they going to make Vincent play" is literally the question I've been asking myself for the last 7 years... Possible Weapons: Quicksilver -- Colt-like handgun, 8 shots/reload, fast rate of fire, very fast reload speed, halved dmg at long range, balanced stats, SP abilities make it especially good at applying debuffs, Weapon Ability: Berserk Dance. Shotgun -- Sawed-off double barrelled thing, 2 shots/reload, medium rate of fire, fast reload speed, bonus dmg at point blank range, halved dmg at medium range, bullet spread can hit several enemies at once, high Attack power, low Magic power, SP abilities increase Defence and ATB gain, Weapon Ability: Focused Slash. SMG -- Submachine gun, 100 shots/reload, rapid rate of fire, fast reload speed, halved dmg at medium range, high Magic power, low Attack power, SP abilities optimize Elemental dmg, Weapon Ability: Gigadunk. Cerberus - Oversized revolver, 6 shots/reload, fast rate of fire, medium reload speed, triple bullet shots, halved dmg at long range, balanced stats but lower than Quicksilver's, SP abilities increase Limit gain, Weapon Ability: Satan Sabre. Sniper CR -- Lever-action sniper rifle, 7 shots/reload, very slow rate of fire, medium reload speed, full dmg at all ranges, very high Attack power, no Magic power, SP abilities increase Luck and Crit chance, Weapon Ability: Crackshot. Chainsaw -- Melee option, 3 hit combo, slow attack speed, high Attack power, low Magic power, SP abilities increase HP and Defence, Weapon Ability: Splattercombo. Possible Gameplay: Vincent generally fights at a distance with a play-style very similar to Prompto's from FFXV; he can run and gun at the same time, though his attack speed rate goes down significantly if he does, meaning he's better off standing still when attacking. The length of his attack combos is determined by the equipped weapon's ammo size, and once completing a full combo he has to reload (kinda like how Barret does his attacks). Has no "finishers" to his combos, so all shots do the same amount of dmg. Possible Signature Skill: Satan Slash. Vincent performs a melee attack combo (based on his DoC melee combo) that becomes stronger the more Limit meter Vincent has accumulated, increasing in power for every 50th Limit Point. Possible Abilities: Chaotic Fury (1 ATB) -- starting ability, Vincent converts 1 ATB to Limit meter, +18 Limit Points. Berserk Dance (1 ATB) -- 5 hit melee combo, bestows Berserk for a duration of 30 seconds; while in Gaulian Beast form it goes up to 7 hits and bestows Berserk for a duration of 60 seconds. Focused Slash (1 ATB) -- Vincent performs a swipe with his claw, closing the distance to an enemy with a quick dash as he does, rapidly increases Stagger gauge on Pressured foes. Gigadunk (2 ATB) -- Vincent leaps high up in the air and comes down claw first, dealing heavy dmg within a small AOE; while in Dead Giant form the attack has a bigger AOE and deals bonus dmg against Staggered foes. Satan Sabre (all ATB) -- Vincent performs an empowered slash with his claw, converts all of Vincent's ATB to Limit meter, +12 Limit Points/ATB and bestows Fury for a duration of 20 seconds/ATB. Crackshot (1-3 ATB) -- fires a shot that deals bonus dmg against Staggered foes, rapid succession inputs increase Crit chance. Splattercombo (2 ATB) -- Vincent pulls out a chainsaw from under his cape and performs a 5 hit melee combo; while in Hellmasker form the final hit inflicts Instant Death. Possible Limit Breaks: Limit Lv.1: Gaulian Beast (consumes 100 Limit Points) -- Vincent transforms into a were-behemoth; in this state he can attack using Berserk Dance (1 ATB), a 7 hit combo that bestows Vincent with the Berserk status effect for 60 seconds, and Beast Flare (2 ATB), which inflicts heavy Fire-elemental damage over a wide AOE. Limit Lv.2: Dead Giant (consumes 150 Limit Points) -- Vincent transforms into a Frankenstein Monster; in this state he can attack using Gigadunk (2 ATB), a heavy physical attack that deals bonus damage to Staggered foes, and Livewire (2 ATB), the same Lightning-elemental AOE ability as the Failed Experiment used in Remake. Limit Lv.3: Hellmasker (consumes 200 Limit Point) -- Vincent transforms into splatter movie villain, in this state he can attack using Splattercombo (2 ATB), a 5 hit combo that inflicts Instant Death with the last attack, and Nightmare (1 ATB), which inflicts a whole bunch of nasty status effects to a single foe.
Damn, with the new trailer for the Rebirth the ending with Zack makes so much sense. We see Aerith dead at the beginning and those people are there to mourn her as she was extremely liked in her sector slums. Makes sense for them to be in her favorite spot.
You know, Briana White (Aerith's VA / Strange Rebel Gaming) actually hated all the different versions of the Happy Turtle song as she played the DLC. She especially got repulsed by the version you hear at 5:52 . I just love watching her reactions every time I watch her play the DLC.
Incidentlaly, the Diabolic Creation's Japanese name is "Heretic Rayleigh", referencing both a certain boss from OGVII as well as Professor Rayleigh, one of Hojo's assistants from Before Crisis, the obvious implication being that the Diabolic Creation is actually a digitally preserved version of Professor Reyleigh post-exposure to Jenova cells.
i love roger and stella and momo and bingo and felice and bob and calypso and natasha and biggs and wedge and kupo and turtle and lucky and sora and riku and kairi
@@garrettwhite5943 Just 'cuz Biggs and Zack are alive _in some timeline_ does not mean Aerith is going to be as lucky... In fact, given Sephiroth's awareness of how big a problem she is to his plans, she may be even more doomed than before...
I tell ya Yuffie is such a silly spunky ninja girl who has no idea what was going on around her except her own matters about Wutai and obsessed with Materia that is😂 I can't wait for when she finally meets and joins the crew in FF7 REBIRTH!😁😉
Yuffie is my favourite character from the original. I know that's not common but she's a funny, Air headed ray of sunshine in a very dark universe who despite trying to act like she doesn't care does care very much. They've done such a good job enhancing her character giving her more emotional depth. Everyone is witty now so her role needs to be redefined in the party, She's basically the little sister figure for the group who needs more guidance than most.
I’ve been a Yuffie fan since the OG…. Then became a even bigger fan after seeing how adorable she was in AC….. after the DLC, she is probably my favorite character along with Zack. I’ve been eating good lately.
Hey, is there a way to watch your full ff7 remake playthrough? There are a lot of other playthroughs archived on your Twitch channel but I can't seem to find that one.

Don't care much for crisis core or ff7 remake. I'd rather see a ff4 remake with new technology
I’m so excited 😂❤ for Crisis Core 💯

Ahhh this DLC is soooo good. They put a lot of love into it.
Makes me really look forward to Rebirth too.
Felice cameo!! Haha
Yuffie is so adorable. Can’t wait til her and Aerith interact 😍
I think Aerith will be the first party member to warm up to Yuffie, I reckon her introduction will be a rocky one but in a fun way.
I was not a big Yuffie fan prior to this DLC either. Every character has been expanded on in such a loving way with these games (both in personality and playstyle) where I cannot help loving each of them. I don’t know how I will ever narrow a party down to three members in the future 😅

Just watched you ffxv videos. God you made me cry.. again! Love my boy Ignis. Crushed when he went blind
i sped through the DLC playing it on my brother's PS5 in one night so i didn't get to see a lot of the side stuff, thanks for the video ♥
Yuffie is now a characterrrr!!! Now, excuse me while I take a nap in a coffin next to Vincent and come out 'till Rebirth

I was wondering if you were gonna get around to the DLC! I can never catch twitch streams. So i'm glad you were able to post this! thanks!
I think there’s a rule that all female streamers must be in love with Tifa. Like, contractually.
