The stairs to the new ground floor, could be in the space where you had the washing machine. That way, the stairs throughout the house would all be in the same place. Easy to find.

I am a house designer and I love watching your videos. Only down side I have with this house is in reality anything you build on ground floor of a beach house is not insured in real life lol which in this game doesn't matter but it kinda ruins the fantasy for me lol

Ya I figured in real life putting rooms at the bottom probably wouldn't be a good idea lol

@Grillmastah people do it. I've seen it. But most the time they put like bathrooms or storage rooms.

Piece of advice: Instead of breaking floor/wall to see - use a window! If you just hold up a window, you can see through to the other side!

I've gotten 3 stars in all of the assembly items twice. The time doesn't start until you open a box or start touching things so it helps if you look around and make sure you know where all the pieces are before you start. Also, the camera has positions it snaps to, so if you have to restart it anyway, play around with the camera while you're not worrying about the time so you can actually figure out what it snaps to (I have a mouse that has buttons I can hit to change the dps and that helps a lot more than you'd expect). Once you can get used to the weird camera angles, it goes much faster. I managed to finish most of them with a lot of time left once I got used to the camera.

In my experimentation, I found that instead of painting the ceilings, using wallpaper or ceramic tiles without a cut pattern are far easier, and you don't have to worry about the sudden direction changes.

Look at the stairs going up in the house; just continue them going down in the space where the washer is. Put the laundry room downstairs in one of those small pokey out spaces. Maybe have a family/game room down there with a pool table and dart board and gaming consoles? My boys would love something like that for real.

Not sure if it will work but could you move the stairs to were the washer and dryer would be? and put the washer and dryer downstairs? Just a thought.

I see others have said it and I agree. What I would do is move the laundry room from under the stairs and put the stairs there making them look just like the upper stairs

You have the power! Do a pair of half stairs with a platform in the middle or wherever needed to work in your floorplan. You can even more platforms. Can't quite do a round staircase but you can make a Minecraftian round version 🤔 might need a taller house though 😅.
Now I wanna go into sandbox and make a Rapunzel style tower 😂

Agree with those saying to put in laundry area and the advantage would also be covering up the sandy floor.

I like the assembly things but man the time they give isn’t nearly enough. I hope they adjust that a little. As for the new house, I love the lighter wood, especially for a beach house. As for the stairs, maybe they could be close to the other inner stairway? Or if that’s not possible, I definitely think it wouldn’t hurt to adjust the kitchen and living room area to put the stairs in somewhere. Either way, it’s cool to see what can be done with these houses. I expect you’ll get a huge profit from adding basically a full floor of rooms. 😊

You should do a wrap-around porch with a little covered porch on the ground floor. It would give a nice indoor/outdoor entertainment space for the ground floor.

The stairs to the ground floor could continue from where the old stairs are i.e., remove the washing machine move it to the basement. Alternatively you can do the open floor plan and have it come up in the middle of the floor let the kitchen be on one side and the living on the other remove the door and windows to the balcony and make them bigger/larger with window panes without the criss-cross.. This will get you a bigger room and have it flow correctly...

Ok, nothing to do with the video, but... I live in Northern Minnesota and my cousin is down south. I have been teasing her that I was going to send her some of the snow we were getting. She just sent me a clip from the weather channel of Winter Storm Heather, which has dumped several inches of snow on her area.
    My name is Heather!

like the vine house. i figure you could have placed a second floor atop the other floor. to probably hide the sand. in the vine house it had two ceilings atop of each other. maybe floors do the same thing.

Also you were wondering about The Boathouse not only did I extend it up a floor I extended the walls to the edge of the pre-existing little wrap-around patio just in case you're wondering

Put the stairs under the existing stairs. Saves floor space.

You can increase the basement floor area and convert the extra space in the first floor to a balcony floor for sea facing view. It would look great👌

you could maybe make like a couple steps down then make a landing / platform area then continue the steps down. If able to do that you could make steps in a L shape where it kinda wraps around the bottom floor

Maybe put the stairs where the laundry is as it flows with the stairs within the house

Why even have s stairs to the ground floor? Two separate spaces. A house with a granny flat beneath which can be rented out.

You could have put a staircase on the opposite side of the garage to the bathroom. It's in a corner and not in the way

I gave up after that damm desk LOL ... just not worth a 2% discount. My guess is they will sell landscaping stuff in some kind of garden DLC like they did in the first game.
