Hypocrisy is a word that people like to throw around like it's some horrible thing, but the context of each situation really matters, because every single person alive is a hypocrite in some way or another. I would rather be a hypocrite, than tell my kids they can smoke, drink, and do all the drugs they want, just because I did some stupid stuff when I was younger. It almost ruined my life and absolutely made it much more difficult. If I can save them from my mistakes and have them learn from what I done instead of learning the hard way, and that makes me a hypocrite, I will very happily be a hypocrite. A real hypocrite is someone who is currently doing something, while judging anyone else who does it. It's even ok for a current drug user to try and warn people from making the same horrible mistakes. It would be different if they were judging other drug addicts while acting like their addiction is ok. That's a real hypocrite

However, the reality is every relationship is built on a foundation of mutual respect and trust, and having done this means every man will lose respect for you. It takes a lot of confidence and security to choose to do the work and to choose to be with someone who does that work. And everyone is insecure at some point.
