The "speed limit" might be 55mph, but Nascar allows you 5mph over before they penalize you. Teams are going to push it to the absolute edge on these things. They're going to try to run as close to 60mph on pit road, and they'll get as close to 17 pounds difference that they can.
@@bobfresno7134they are given .5% of the car weight variance. Which they said is about 17lbs. So Bowman was more than 17lbs under. 16.8 light would not have been a penalty. They are not saying exactly at the moment because they are expecting an appeal. So what ever it was it was more than 17 under.

So they changed the curb height from 4 to 2 and a half inches. They should have put those three foot high concrete barriers. The whole idea in the first place is to keep them on the track and not take a shortcut. They should have left them alone and told them learn how to drive on the track.

For myself, I've never liked the roval, I will never like the roval. But you have to go back and for someone of my generation, I want to say, we had what, 2 road course races a year? like the Glenn and Riverside I want to say? NASCAR is a roundy roundy left turn identity with the road course sprinkled in to throw a spanner in the works and mix it up. They were almost like an exhibition kind of thing, guys had fun with them. But then they became a serious piece of points scoring to take serious when more were added. I'm also a pretty hardcore F1 fan who will get up to watch a FP1 session at 3:00am in the rain and again at 5:20am if that's when it is. So yeah, I'd say I'm a fan~ and you don't know just how sick and disgusted it can be at those venues with "exceeding track limits" flags. Was it the Red Bull ring last year? we had 100's of track limit penalties - I think Gasly maybe ended up with 45 seconds or something stupid long after the race ended and it wasn't even official for hours. So this kind of shit? and they missed the car 2 spots back doing exactly the same thing? I think F1 look like clowns on track limits equally as with this thing from Sunday~ I will give credit to F1, they wouldn't have missed Bowmans infraction. I am of the opinion, PUT A WALL THERE, THEY WON'T EXCEED TRACK LIMITS! F1 can be a good example the last race in Singapore. THey broke a tradition, no safety flags or safety cars - first time ever I think. Not one concern over track limits because it's simple, hit the wall DNF almost 100% of the time. I liked the radio chat, especially the "real stuff" like it happened~I see NASCAR hasn't gone Nanny state like F1 has recently where you get community service sentence for swearing beyond Pharoah Ben's liking. But it'll probably come. This Roval reconfig? the hairpin demolition corner? Fucking stupid as shit - This is NOT for the benefit of Professional racing, this is an "Entertainment" corner for the fans to get all riled up over who hit who and who's fault is it and then finish that off with a low rise "Stadium Jump" by the stands~ Lastly, Pretty sure the cars tech before the race and lost at least what? 20lbs or more? and I didn't know they let them fuel up, load water, all that stuff which is cool, give you all the chances to make weight. I have to believe parts of that car laying out on the circuit someplace or there's a really big booboo in something they changed or swapped out like radioes? Did Alex get sick? dehydrate? can't puke AND take a shit big enough for 20 plus pounds man. He forget his Darrell Waltrip lead helmet? His Scuba weight belt? Curious to find out how that happened. In F1 there's no "range" of acceptance, there's a hard line, period, ask George Russell.
I looked pretty closely at that Byron video and he wasn't even close to as egregious as Wallace. Byron's back tires slid along the red and white while he did miss with the front tires. Remember NASCAR said ties go to the driver. I am good with this no call.
not defending the nascar no calling byron because even i thought he cut it, but the only reason i could see is that he mad a sharper corner and his rear tire does visibly clip the outer curbs corners. Its hard to explain without a visual.
I don't fault Burton for missing that. There's a lot going on during the broadcast. I honestly did the same thing as Burton (watched the next car behind Wallace and completely missed that Byron skipped the turn too). I'm not making excuses for the Nascar officials on that one though.
NASCAR needs to be removed from all in race officiating as well as the flag stand. NASCAR at the start of the year with the team owners/teams to work out the rules and regulations of the sport and that's all NASCAR / France family ate 100% hands off all in race calls flag to flag.
They were gonna penalize non-playoff drivers. They wanted to make a point early. You noticed there wasn’t any another calls made after that. I know you need Contant but this was done on purpose. They were not going to ruin someone’s playoff over a call like that. None play off drivers new before the race the first 10 laps NASCAR was watching non playoff drivers for penalties so that is on Bubbles bc that is how he operates bc he is a high level racer lol.
As much as I would love to seen the 48 win I think NASCAR was right. Only thing is maybe they could’ve put the caution out earlier than what they did, but the 42 was stuck. No doubt about it.
Why was the #23 penalized for the corner cutting infraction? What team is suing NASCAR? There's your answer. Just NASCAR proving 23XI correct in their lawsuit. Just calling it as it is, even though I don't like 23XI.
NASTURD can't get any calls or penalty rulings consistent because they are too busy counting the money they are stealing from all of those doing the actual work. There's a reason why it's called a "Governing" body. Money from TV rights, money from merch sales, money from teams having to buy their cars, their parts, owning over 45% of the tracks (ticket revenue), etc...hard to care about fair, consistent rulings when you're like a drug dealer, who cares about the laws when the money keeps piling in.
If the roles were reversed and Byron was penalized but Bubba was not, there would be a thousand comments on here. Looked to me like Byron was over about the same as Bubba but rumor has it coming into this race that since 23XI is doing what they're doing with NASCAR, the rules for them would be harsher...
The corner thing ,Bubba got hosed. He didnt gain anything and I thin Nascar overreacted. What ever happened to warnings.A verbal warning would have been enough for everyone.Penalties afterwards.Since the turtles were changed Nascar should have backed off a little.
IS it surprising that Nascar didn't penalize Byron? I'm an Elliott fan, but HMS does seem to get preferential treatment. As for Saturday, I was so disgusted that I didn't even watch the OT restart. These tracks get a HUGE part of advertising revenue. Do better.
A talented SANDBAGGER can decide points just by hiding a better car deep in the field and passing cars when required. Next season just sandbag to the rear of the field a PASS FOR POINTS.
When I was watching the highlights and noticed the car 2 back from the 23 did the EXACT same thing and no penalty. Inwas like YUPP NASCAR being once again INCONSISTENT. JUST BRUTALLY painful tonwatch and be a fan when the officiated is so so PATHETIC. I honestly believe that NASCAR was malice in waiting until just before the line. There is 100% no way that they did not see that issue for that 10-15 seconds. They did not want that team to win and deliberately took actions to be detrimental to the sport of racing. They see teams like that as a rash and will do what they can and are allowed to do because they control all the power. They also can NOT STOP with the addiction to late race restarts. All this inconsistency causes everyone to be talking about in a time when a lot of fans are less interested in the NASCAR playoff due to football: college & the NFL. Also, throw in MLB playoffs. It just irritates me that the playing field / race track and rules change weekly. At the end of the day, I am happy as a #5 fan. He won and is looking very strong in the playoffs. Another championship may be in his short distance future. LTS!!! I am looking forward to the numbers segment later this week. I may need to do a road trip to try out your chicken place. HAGW

Jeff Burton and Steve Letarte should appologize to the viewers for declaring that Parker was the winner as long as he makes it to the checkered flag under caution. That was jumping the gun and confusing everyone at the track and throughout the world. I concur that, as Jeff put it "It needs to be fixed". NBC should prohibit their announcers from announcing the winner of a race before NASCAR tells them who the winner is. That would fix it. NASCAR NEVER said Parker was the winner. Jeff and Steve did (wrong). NASCAR NEVER said Parker was past the line before the yellow came out. Jeff and Steve did (wrong). There was no confusion whatsoever as to what NASCAR did. NBC announcers were just confused and embarrassed, so they lashed out at NASCAR. When I heard about the #48 being underweight post race I immediately thought of Darrel Waltrip putting ball bearings in the frame, then pulling a string and letting them out on the racetrack during the race. He won a lot of races before they caught him. When it finally comes out what the #48 team did to lower the weight it will be part of the hall of fame cheating stories that have been stock car racers' pride and joy for the last 70 years. I'm thinking it might have been water put in the frame, then released during the first part of the race.
@@michaelrunnels7660 the fact that someone can be 2 inches from the finish line but because some yellow lights turn on at the track means that they have to rack them back up should make NASCAR embarrassed but it doesn’t
@@RowingFrontal5 Parker was 2 feet from the finish line when the yellow light came on even though the yellow light button was pushed when Parker was approximately 100 feet from the finish line. There is a delay from the time the button is pushed and the lights light up, but the time stamp that records the exact time the button was pushed has no delay. Most of the criticism is the fact that NASCAR didn't throw the caution immediately after a car went into the wall. They delayed for 10-15 seconds or more. Any way you look at it everyone agrees that the yellow should have been thrown, just sooner. Parker wasn't going to make it to the finish line regardless of a sooner or later caution. In my mind the confusion came from the announcers declaring, without any evidence whatsoever, that Parker was past the finish line when the caution was thrown.
Back in DW's day they didn't weigh the cars after the race. No team is gonna be dumb enough to pull that bs when they go over these cars with a magnifying glass after the race. Especially the cars in the playoffs.
@@johnstickles6789 Yes they did weigh the cars back then, but normally only before a race. NASCAR occassionally inspected the cars at the end of the race if they suspected cheating. They inspected Darrel's car and didn't find the hole in the frame right where the jack was holding up the car. It was the hole that the hundred or so pounds of ball bearings would be released onto the racetrack after the race started. He won races using that trick until he finally got caught. It's a story that he takes great pleasure in telling. Every successful NASCAR driver, without exception, has cheated. Every driver will tell you that you can't win if you don't cheat. How can you get away with cheating if you know your car will be inspected after the race? If your car is damaged it's ok if it doesn't pass inspection. There is a video on UA-cam of Chad Knaus leaning in the drivers window just before Jimmy Johnson started the engine and saying "Jimmy, if you win, make sure you damage the front end on the wall during your burnout." This was recorded by the in-car camera.
@@michaelrunnels7660 DW has been telling that story since 1980 I think was the first time I heard him tell it. No team in 2024 is gonna try to pull that kinda stunt in the playoffs. @bobfresno7134 they allowed 17 pounds, it was more than 17 pounds so he got hammered for it.
@@bobfresno7134 Nascar allows you to be 17 pounds within the weight before you get penalized. They were more than 17 pounds difference. It's like on pit road.
Why? The car didn't meat the weight rule. It doesn't matter if it was 30 lbs or 2 lbs.
Just playing a sport and making up the rules as we go along. Seems pointless
NASCAR shits the bed, again
NASCAR management is a JOKE!
Saturday was a cluster. If not for gambling in nascar these things wouldn't happen.
Nascar has been changing for the past few years and not in a good way. It's become obvious that the officiating has their favorites. I have been a nascar fan for over 60 years, but the past couple of years I have lost the interest I did have. It's a shame that it's come down to this, but I realize money talks.
So they changed the curb height from 4 to 2 and a half inches. They should have put those three foot high concrete barriers. The whole idea in the first place is to keep them on the track and not take a shortcut. They should have left them alone and told them learn how to drive on the track.
I seen the 24 do exactly what the 23 did. Once again NASCAR is not consistent with rules. I don’t get it. If we seen it you know dam well NASCAR did. Smh
Bubba cut the corner well 1 car back Byron did the same thing, but no call on Byron. Edit: I posted this before you said it. I saw it in the race. NASCAR stabs itself in the foot. France fan milt doesn’t care as long as the money is rolling in.
Quit crying
Bubba cut the corner multiple times, then they called him they gave drivers a grace period to get the feel of the removal of the curbs he kept doing it and when he really cut it they popped him . You act like that took a win away or dropped him from the 8
Bubbles will cry racism....
At least Bubba W, or Denny H did not win....
Gotta get the bubba engagement 😂
I support it btw
@@CaptainDerty the easiest way to get 100 comments 😂 too bad half of them are low quality crap I’d expect to see on Facebook. I may have found this channel with a bubba video recommended though

HMS signed the NASCAR charter deal. Think about it. More to come.!
@@ColtLukin-ud3in what are you implying?
Burton was too busy talking about how much he loves Hamlin to see the 24, all weekend long
For myself, I've never liked the roval, I will never like the roval.
Fucking stupid as shit - This is NOT for the benefit of Professional racing, this is an "Entertainment" corner for the fans to get all riled up over who hit who and who's fault is it and then finish that off with a low rise "Stadium Jump" by the stands~
Lastly, Pretty sure the cars tech before the race and lost at least what?
Toyota is currently having problems with some passenger car and truck engine failures
NASCAR screwed another driver out of a win due to there yellow overtime bullshit! Parker won that race! I’m about done with nascar I’m serious
GFY, and I'm serious.
Screw nascar on network television...I'm just watching the UA-cam extended highlights from now on. All the best parts,NONE OF THE B.S.
I actually don't understand how Larson is where he is in the points after the terrible regular season final races and playoff beginning .
If they can get away with not penalizing a hendrix car they will specifically Byron, Elliott, and Larson
Why was the #23 penalized for the corner cutting infraction?
What team is suing NASCAR?
There's your answer.
Just NASCAR proving 23XI correct in their lawsuit.
Just calling it as it is, even though I don't like 23XI.
Bubba wasn't the only one to get pinched for that one.
Well that’s your problem and yeah he got penalized BUT YOU DONT OWN A NASCAR TEAM SO YOUR BS COMMENTS DONT MATTER SON
@@ascomsystems2629 That's the funniest reply I've ever received. LOL!
Joeys dash cam shows whole part fly off 48
That should be easy to prove in the appeal. It may not make much of a difference but it would be an explanation.
Herbst has done great lately. XFinity race was the best race last weekend by far more entertaining. The cup race was basicly a snooze fest
you say nbc messed up with the William Byron short cut but i think it NASCARs job to call that not nbc
NASCAR messing up was the main story.
About the track limits. I think track limits is a joke. You can't cut this corner but you can blow track limits everywhere else.
All tv broadcasting sucks. Tv coverage is garbage. Radio, best ever!
I wonder if that launch somehow affected the weight. Maybe three something off?
Nope Budda doesn't get special treatment.....he went over the boundary Byron did not......maybe bubba should learn where his car is...
@@truckercowboyed2638 Byron didn’t? Do you have anything in your brain that works or is it always set in “hating ‘Bubba Smollett’ “ mode?
Bubba knew the rules. Permanently ban his ass. There is going to be more issues with him and might not be good for NASCAR.
IS it surprising that Nascar didn't penalize Byron? I'm an Elliott fan, but HMS does seem to get preferential treatment. As for Saturday, I was so disgusted that I didn't even watch the OT restart. These tracks get a HUGE part of advertising revenue. Do better.
I think that was a load of B.S. I think that they just wanted Lagano in the final 8
No it’s not puzzling a little thing called a lawsuit
Parker should have a ride.
How about Byron? I seen blue on the left side of his car too when he came through that she came. Cause there was a Hendrick car.
48 DQ stinks to high heaven, we are not being told the actual story.
23/11 can expect the same officiating for the duration of the law suit, no favors to them.
A talented SANDBAGGER can decide points just by hiding a better car deep in the field and passing cars when required. Next season just sandbag to the rear of the field a PASS FOR POINTS.
SVG is awesome
It's just astounding that people thinks cheating is new in NASCAR. Seriously, how long have you been watching?
Wish Wallace would just go away.
HAGW

How do you get so many of the different driver radios for the video?
Nascar App.. has all kinds stuff on it, battle cams, aerial cams and live leaderboards and point standings
@@davids5006 I get that, I love listening to the scanner. But what I want to know is how he gets so many different driver radios, unless he just times it for an incident.
Team radios are available to anyone during the race, both at the track and at home.
@@ZoomerPay maybe he has it set up on different windows
you guys are misunderstanding what he's asking. He's wondering how he gets the recordings of the scanner audio from the race. You can't go back and listen to it after the fact it has to be recorded live. Someone must be recording these scanners for him.
With this new spec car cheating is getting to get damn near impossible. But teams are gonna keep trying you can bet on that.
