"Met" Steve on UA-cam maybe 4 yrs ago when I was trying to understand Colombia. Had watched a few vids from others. Filled with facts but I wasn't getting the essence of the country. I have media background having worked for CBS Educational Div and NEWSWEEK. Tripped across an SY vid one day and was hooked. Watched everything he ever presented on places he visited. Sometimes twice. Congratulations on helping to raise a fine, talented grandson with great heart and soul....Please nudge him to dance more on vids.
I used to buy her tamales years ago before I had a business and would just host an occasional gathering at my place. They were always my favorite. So happy to see her and know you helped her. See you at open mic I hope!
I have seen several travellers like you, but you are a special person among them.. you are a really nice guy! You are an role model and inspiration for others.
Wonderful, inspiring, simply beautiful. SY🌠 vlogs always raise the vibration level. I teared up a bit... Since he just turned 29 he's going all out before he hits the big 30.😉...Great heart, soul, spirit, focus and skills.🤗 (Should be noted Steve also fed some " homeless people" in Orlando with part of his Covid era stimulus check couple years ago. That vlog is worth a watch.)...🤗 to Esmeralda, Monse, Kurt and kids too. Good wishes!
@@SteveYalo Welcome!...Never been an effort at any level to be positive about you. Adore people that contribute in a positive way to those around them. First vid ( Colombia) began to give me important insights, laughs and smiles. There is MAGIC IN THE TELLING.( AND the Showing/Viewing ) 😉
You guys are an inspiration, loved the video. I hope one day I can the same, you guys brought tears of joy to my eyes. I am happy to see people like you are on this planet, we need more people like you. Kudus to you and I RESPECT all of you helping the needy. Thanks!
What a wonderful video, my friend. Tears be a flowin'. Another outstanding and moving production. I'm so honored that I once met this wonderful UA-camr. Nice job Steve! I will be sending you a donation. Hope to see you again one day. Stay safe and healthy my dear friend ❤️ !
Great video, made me cry and encouraged to do something too to help. That’s amazing how you can inspire people! Please keep doing this 😊 And for those who is bad with math and doesn’t understand the difference between self cost and sell price, don’t realize that she got a lot of money for herself and a great promotion to make more money in future - well, if you think that woman was robbed, go and give her money or help instead of shitposting and making yourself look stupid. Peace ✌️
Sooo... they gave her $250 for 200 tamales. She charges $2 per tamale ($400 for 200 tamales). She even had to spend the money out of the $250 for supplies leaving her with about $150 to make 200 tamales. Yall hustled her.
2:47 If the tamal sells it for 40 pesos and you gave her 5,000 pesos and requested 200 tamales with that money, not sure the math was correct because... 40 * 200 = 8,000 pesos. no wonder why she only made around 100 slim tamales with those 5,000 pesos... but the intention to help was ok.
Maybe I should have explained it better in the video... 1. She ended up making about 120 tamales 2. The tamales she made were smaller than normal 3. She spent about 1800 on supplies, so she walked away with over 3000 + promotion of her business to many new people
Should have explained that better. In the moment we said 200, but she only made 100. And they were smaller than the ones she normally sells so we could feed more people. Plus it doesn't cost her 40 to make one, that's just the price she charges on the beach. It cost less than 2000 for all the supplies so don't worry, she ended up with a good profit (and a fun experience with a supportive community).
5000 pesos?? What she supposed to do with that? Why are you being cheap? At least give her $500 US. Giving everyone a crumb wont help them. You should instead pool the funds to a huge fund and put it behind 1 person who seems they have the best shot at making a good business. That way if they make it they can employ others in the community instead of just dripping it out. That wont do crap. Its like feeding someone a fish for a day instead of finding the most skilled fishermen and getting them all the equipment and bait they need and then they can feed others while teaching the next person to fish too.
Wait let me get this straight. You donate $5000 pesos to this woman. But then requested 200 hundred tamales to give away for free on the malecon which is $8000 pesos that she could earned. So she end up losing $3000 pesos, hope the clout help her at least. That wasn’t cool. Or maybe I missed understood.
You robbed that woman you bastards, the tamales cost $40 pesos each, you gave her $5000 and asked her to make 200 tamales to give out for free, that's $8000 pesos in tamales, so you robbed her of $3000 pesos in earnings, so you didn't give her a damn thing
Wow coming in HOT! 😂 I guess you didn’t watch the full video. It doesn’t cost $40 pesos to make each tamale. And she didn’t make 200. She ended up keeping over 3000 pesos after expenses ☺️ silly goose

@@MeixnerQuest you still robed and deceived her, you gave her the $5000 peso and then you're like, oh by the way, I need you to make 200 tamales by tomorrow, what a joke
I don’t understand why you guys decide to attempt to bless her with 5000 pesos and then you ask her with the 5000 pesos will you make 200 tamales at 40 pesos for each tamale comes out to 8000 pesos. This is some bullshit!

Exactly thats what I thought. If you where going to donate it then is all for her, the supplies of the free tamales should be covered separately.
