It kept getting blocked? I've seen a ton of people react to this showing to full video, they didn't have issues with it.
I'm not covering it for my own pleasure, it's extra work and ruins the experience. For some reason I have been getting way more blocks than others. It could have to do with the fact I am situated in Belgium. I tried seeking answers from UA-cam but they are as vague as ever.
@@AnthonyRay ... You're not the only person I've seen report getting blocks on something I've seen many others have no issues with. There doesn't seem to be a rhyme or reason to it.
The YT algorithm is capricious.
@@ArtamStudio ... to say the least
We know Phil is not blocking this.
This performance in particular is a standout even for legendary song...when the beat drops, so does your heart.
Yup! My most favorite video of this song EVER!
This is the most recognizable drum drops in history! I got to see Phil on this tour in 2004 in Oklahoma City I had just gotten home from Afghanistan so it was a huge bucket list item for me. I’ve been listening to Phil since the 80s and even with Genesis. Such a legend and it breaks my heart that he’s doing so poorly. Music will never be the same when he’s gone!
This is one of those performances that does not allow my mind to wander anywhere else. I am so locked in the WHOLE time. Performances like this are why I love music as much as I do.
So good.
@@aimeekeel agreeeed!
I still get goosebumps after all these years im 68yrs 😊
BEST PHIL COLLINS PERFORMANCE EVER! I would have loved to have seen this particular show! Like you said, he's a true ICON!
Would loved to have been there!
Best beat drop in the history of rock.
You can feel the excitement growing as he gets closer to those drums. Amazing performance!
I'm an old lady now but I saw this live and it was truly beautiful. I'm glad you get to experience fabulous live music. I bought albums from when he was the drummer in Genesis.
You are a lovely young man and you also have a brain which is not always the case. Thank you for giving me some joy!
'Eye of the Tiger' is a great observation. Phil seems to prowl across the stage like a panther and then pounces on the drums. Killed It!
This was an awesome performance of this legendary song.
He definitely comands attention when he is is on stage.
Notice that until he sits down to the drums his arms never move. This brings an intensity to the singing and words of the song.
He is an amazing singer and musician: a legend. Wonderful reaction on a wonderful song.
Goosebumps every single time.
This was one of my father's favorite songs. He used to scream "i was there i saw what you did, saw it with my own 2 eye's, so you can wipe off that grin, i know where you've been, it's all been a pack of lies" ❤ my dad got cancer and passed away at 50 yrs old. 💔 this song gets me and gives me goosebumps every time i listen. Phenomenal reaction! 👏 ❤❤ that crowd afterward was amazing!
Sorry for your loss
Anthony !!!! Thank you
This is what legends are made of ! The live performance keeps you on the edge of your seat the whole way through. I saw him in concert with Genesis but my God I wish I had been here for this one. He will live forever!
Just classic! ❤ got goose bumps like I didn’t listen to this driving to school every morning in high school.
I heard this song a million times when I was younger. It was my dad's favorite. He was a huge fan of Phil Collins and Genesis. We would wander in the old market to find all of his album every Sunday when he would pick me up. My dad was immensely good with guitar and singing but too shy to do anything of it besides doing for himself or for older people center. But he was a great artist and creator, but he also had the broken heart of those kind of men.. I know every little of him. He died when I was 11 in a car accident and when I got his stereo at my house, he had programmed that song to play every night at midnight. And so, this song means the world to me. Thank you so much to see its power, even to this day and being a lot younger than him. It is very meaningful and shows me that my dad was a probably more connected to art and emotion than he ever showed me.
To be able to sing with power and drum with power simultaneously takes beyond extreme talent🔥⭐️
I LOVE this song! I was lucky enough to see Phil Collins live a few years ago and one of the very best concerts I've ever been to!
Great live performance! Phil Collins is best known as the drummer/singer of the rock band Genesis in the 70's & later for his solo career. He has had so many great hits such as "Another Day In Paradise", "I Don't Care Anymore", "Against All Odds", "One More Night", "Sussudio", "Take Me Home", "Two Hearts", "A Groovy Kind Of Love", "I Wish It Would Rain Down", "You Can't Hurry Love" etc.
An amazing performance. Still find it super impressive that he can sing live while drumming. This is one of my favorite songs, too!! Thanks for reacting.
You haven't "heard" this song until you've experienced this version. It gets me every time ❤
I love the slightly haunting vibe it has. And the meaning behind it.
It's a beautiful song. 🙌
This is one of my favorite performances ❤
I have listened to this so many times over the years but still find myself holding my breath throughout that last section of the song. Just amazing !
This is the best LIVE performance!!!
Phil was 52 when this concert took place ….. AMAZING !!!
This song has always been amazing to me because it tells a very short story but the majority of it is just Phil’s voice repeating the same lyrics and the instruments taking you on an incredible music journey.
Iconic performance.
OMG!!! went back in time and felt every beat!! Thanks for covering this ✊🏽 love your comment “best drop ever!!” Word that’s exactly what it is 💜
I was SO HAPPY to hear you say that you hadn’t heard THIS version of the song before…because obviously (now) if you hadn’t heard this one, you hadn’t heard anything!
Probably the greatest song ever written about getting divorced.
This performance is a reminder why it's still worth it to see the big name acts live.
The best scene in television is when this song is playing on Miami Vice as Crockett and Tubbs are cruising down a Miami street at night in a Maserati on their way to a showdown.
❤Phill Collins a complete and complex artist!
I respect the passion you have for very good music 👏🏻
I loved when Phil once said " I'm not a singer that plays the drums, I'm a drummer that can sing.". Thank u much.
This music we grew up the fabric of our lives I heard this in 80 81 still amazing Thanx Phil❤Thinking this is 2011 the last time he would sing it
Mister Collins is a Top Artist and Songwriter ♥️ Absolutely love his music 🎶 ❤
I appreciate that you're up front and honest about already knowing a song. When you still have that kind of reaction to a live performance it's priceless. There really are a whole hell of a lot of people who never even heard of some iconic artists though. Some people ask what rock they've been living under, but it's just the plain fact that rock is not something that they've ever been exposed to. Their parents didn't listen to it, therefore, they haven't listened to it either. That's one of reasons I like watching these reactions so much. It's like I'm personally sharing an entire genre of music with them for the first time, and I'm loving it. I've only seen a very few reactors who haven't liked at least some of it, and reactions to bands like Queen and Rush are pure gold. I've seen literally one single negative reaction to Queen. I'm sure there are more, but one would think that if they were common I would have run across at least one.
Phil sounded amazing! What a stunning production!
love your reaction - this was from his first farewell tour in bercy park paris france - the whole concert was great - especially other items such as 'drums, drums and more drums' and the 'take me home' encore
Incredible. Gave me goosebumps as well. Just so good! The build-up to that beat drop is legendary. Love him.
Life begins here! Saw him in concert with Genesis they had 2 drummers including Phil who was new. Lets get it!
Totally legendary. Leaves you wanting more, to go on so much longer. Thanku young man. 💜
hell yh, this performance is one of my favs from Phil and i come back and watch it all the time so it's dope seeing AR react to it.
BEST ever live performances EVER Love it Love it
Thank you for doing a bunch of these older classics. I'm now in my sixties and these are from my young teen age years through high school and I adore them as much now as I did back then. I'm always wondering what the younger generations think about these classics and how they were performed. I especially appreciate other musically talented people who comment on the older songs. Check out some of the songs from The Eagles, Cher, Led Zeppelin, The Police, Fleetwood Mac, Heart... the list goes on and on, and these are just the Rock & Role bands. Enjoy !!
Saw Genesis with Phil on drums and vocals and Peter Gabriel as frontman. 1974. $4.75 a ticket. It was insane.
Love this song!🔥❤️❤️ Yeah, definitely when the drum part comes in, so awesome!❤️❤️🔥🔥
Oh boy my most fav song ever
I loved your reaction to this. I do think it's one of the best songs of all time and definitely one of the best drops, if not the best drop of all time. I'm surprised you didn't comment on the guitars; they were phenomenal.
We can see a classic scene with this song, on the first episode of TV show "Miami Vice" (in 1984)
The most iconic song and most iconic live performance of all time. I also keep a list of all ads through the videos to make sure I never purchase any of them.. gtfo the screen when we trying to bump Phil
This is a master class in the slow burn😊
Always such an audible pleasure with this one every note👂✌️ya
Absolute classic!
The word EPIC is so over-used - but not here. What a Master. Imagine being in that crowd! The build - the anticipation - the incredible musicianship - everything! And then the ROAR that went up when the crowd saw him move to the Drums. The Drop - to end all Drops... Magic. { Although... Gotta admit... I'm in love with the Cadbury's Gorilla version as well! Does anyone know what Cadbury paid for grabbing that??? }
Now that's what you call singing wow 🎶 🎶 🎶 🔥🔥🔥
0:32: I have no idea if these are Phil Collins's "biggest songs ever" but I love the early songs: You Can't Hurry Love and Heatwave.
Great reaction! I saw him live in the early 90’s and it was amazing and unforgettable! He is a beast! Thanks Anthony ❤️🔥❤️🔥✌🏻🫶🏻
He is such a genuine down to earth bloke too always had soft spot for this man he's set an example for drummers also as they usually hide in background that's what I love about him.. Also good actor 😉 beautiful Reaction 👌❤️
My most favorite reaction of yours.❤
That’s hot! Phil Collins is amazing! ❤
Absolute banger tune!
Check out 'Drums, Drums, and More Drums'. It is the beginning of this 2004 Paris concert. Amazing. A two-hour+ concert at 53 yrs old. Amazing.
OMG, this is so awesome next to Bobby Hatfield's live version of Unchanged Melody live on the Andy Williams show in 1965.
Chills , such a great performer ❤
One of the best, if not the best, performance EVER!
I love that you turned the volume up🎉🎉🎉🎉
its the masterful anticipation backed up by the extraordinary performance, what a tune, what a man.
One word , EPIC!!
This song was released on a television show back in the eighties. The show was Miami vice. I remember only that episode.
Phil Collins is iconic ❤
I love this song, it's a classic.
Phil is an absolute legend. He was such a boss in the 80s
You're right Anthony. As a techno guy growing up in the 90's whose broadened his taste, of all rock music this is THE most iconic drum drop of all time I've heard. On the other end of the length spectrum - I would say Dave Gilmour's solo in Comfortably Numb or Slash in November Rain.
Amen Slash was superb definitely my favourite Guitar solo !
Im 56 and still experience this song
I love that you are reacting to this song.
I have heard this numerous times and at the same time as you...I'm washing dishes and got goosebumps!!! Epic xx
I'm with you Phil is the GOAT. God bless him
First time I ever heard this was on Miami Vice and it blew me away
Un señor !! que nos dejo muchos éxitos !! un artista :) icónico ! Saludos
I’ve watched this video hundreds of times and it was only the other day I realised that the drums had risen up through the floor. Just caught the last split second of it levelling up
I was able to see him live when I was a teenager, that year I saw The Boss and Whitney Houston but Phil Collins blew them all away! The 80's were a great time to be a teenager, the music was amazing!!
Yes! Thank you!
Love this song awesome 👌. What a awesome live performance.. love Phil.
I saw Genesis in Budapest in 1987 when they did the Invisible Touch Tour. I was 6 and I sat on my dad's shoulders. I am 42 and the gig is still the only one thing I vividly remember from my childhood. Phil Collins performing Invisible Touch and Mama live... oh man. Good times
And he sings so amazingly while beating hell out of drums!!!!!
💘Love it!
Thanks Anthony! Damn this took me back. Goosebumps!
Definitely THE BEST! ❤️🔥
Phil started out as a drummer with Genesis. Peter Gabriel left as lead singer, and Phil took his place as the lead singer for the group.
Yeah, man...the drop of all drops !
Amazing you're doing the classics! These are the songs I grew up with.. My dad always listened to Genesis/Phil Collins, Peter Gabriel, Depeche Mode, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin and stuff.
Seeing this reaction made me think of Genesis "Mama" - You know that one too? That song is MADNESS... And I love it ♥
Best concert ever
2009, 80,000 PEOPLE! 😊
Liiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiife !! Anyone else impressed with how many beats & breath control this is ?
Loved this reaction - not suprised you'd include this in your Top Ten. I remember listening to 'Face Value' Album, walking home from work on my Sony Walkman, utterly immersed in the incredible layers of atmospheric sound and Phil's incredible vocals. Superb music and vocals!
Another Top Ten favourite of mine is Stevie Nick's performance of Rhiannon - Fleetwood Mac Live 1976, The Midnight Special. Would love to see what your reaction to that, if you haven't seen it already. :)
We had the best music back in the day 🎶 🎶 🔥 🔥🔥 🇬🇧🇬🇧
Best performance ever ❤
The Talking Heads performance movie Stop Making Sense has been remastered and will be released on the 18th on several streaming platforms and in some theaters. Id like to see a few reactions, mainly to Life During Wartime. It was directed by Jonathan Demme who also directed Silence of the Lambs and it's considered one of the best performance films ever made.
