270 COW DAIRY FARM TOUR! Plumpton College Farm

In this video we head down to Plumpton College, East Sussex for an educational event with LEAF and the AHDB teaching 200 GCSE students about agriculture and the wider industry.
We weren't aloud to film the kids and our conversations with them BUT we did go on a farm tour around one of the best dairy's I have ever stepped foot on.

I have never heard of Plumpton College before. I went to Writtle Agricultural College but studied Horticulture. 😊

Im wanting to become a farmer but this college is 2 hours away for me and theres not really any decent farming colleges near me

There’s plenty of ways to get into it. If you have the ability to go to college full time, most colleges have accommodation. If not, try getting on a dairy farm helping out at milking a in mornings/evenings or weekend or seeing if you can help someone out at lambing or calving etc. where there’s a will, there’s always a way. 👍

They do. I’m unsure exactly how many but I think it’s a fairly extensive system.
