I love this captured moment: beautiful victorian goth with a stunning titian red-haired musician in a lush park with peacocks surrounding them. I don't think such a moment has ever been caught on film in the history of...film. Very original and interesting.
OMG!!! I was thinking the very same thing, although you described this collaboration far better than I! What a very fascinating contrast of how these young, interesting women look! Then to find, somehow, this young woman's channel about her hurdy gurdy! I don't care for her "rock" music style, but, the instruments she has is so unusual! Grateful that she is doing well!!!
I don’t understand why I always see your posts about a new video on fb. UA-cam doesn’t even show me this though I’m subscribed and have notifications on…
I had to go into the settings of my phone and my UA-cam account and make sure they both were set to push notifications. I had the same issue for a while.
Awesome! i love me some Patty Gurdy!... so beautiful and talented....and a total nerd for one of my favorite instruments! the quirky and fun Herdy Gurdy.
I play the galician hurdy gurdy ("zanfona" here in Spain) and I follow you both, so I'm very surprised and happy to see this gorgeous collab. Thanks for the video, this is great.
I love the hurdy gurdy and Renaissance music. If you want suggestion to some lovely renaissance music, check out Blackmore's Night. Candice Night has such a beautiful voice and Ritchie Blackmore is an old gutarist for deep purple, he plays so many of these instruments very well. Ive been listening to them since the 90s and i still love them so much.
You did a great job Friday picking up that instrument and playing those chords. The gurdy has so many great sounds I never seen one or heard of it I am so clad you had this vlog today you showed me something new !! I didn't know you were a drummer my husband took band classes in Jr high up and threw high school he played the drums and was in perades but he loved just to rock out on them he stopped playing when we got married and when we bought our house our new neighbor became good friends with my husband and gave him his old drum set and it was very nice but we had a bad fire a few years ago and we lost them in the fire. We lost just about everything we owned and we didn't have insurance 😢 we owned our home for alittle over 12 years and we made so many great memories in our home I do miss it so much. We are still living in a hotel and the rent was so high and is now starting to come down a bit so I hope we find a place to rent soon. I love seeing all those beautiful peacocks they are a very loud bird but I never was able to get close to one the would run away of fly into the newest tree and the ones that were near you came so close and even got on the bench with you so cool. I want to thank you again for this great vlog hoping to see you on utube live soon I missed the last time you were on. I am such a big fan of you and so glad I found you on utube by chance and I have became a subscriber as soon as I watched only one of your vlogs I was hooked. I watched you get married then go to those awsome concerts and go on to finding I think it was Easter eggs in the grave yard at night with Mr. Owl you have such a beautiful life !! And now a mommy of two beautiful children. I am hoping to see you and Mr. Owl do something fun and crazy for Halloween?? 🖤🎵🎶
fascinating!! and amazing that you were interviewing and learning an instrument totally from scratch- all while looking after your children and fending off an army of peacocks 😂 honestly though, well done! xx
Awesome instrument love it🖤🖤🖤I love both of your accents together and how she says flute 🪈 beautiful scenery too with the peacocks lol but I imagine them stealing the babies snacks
How great to see two of my favorite talented people playing a wonderful instrument. I am a fan of Patty as well, She performed on the song "Concrete Cages" with Scar dust it is a must listen.
This is remarkable synchronicity! I was thinking about Donovan's song, 'Hurdy Gurdy Man' earlier this week. Then I started looking up people playing them on UA-cam. A few days later, up pops your Hurdy Gurdy video. Amazing. 💚
For some reason, seeing the two of you open the video and at 0:48 there's a blue pacifier sitting there... Made me feel all fuzzy inside! So charming! Plus, this is a wonderful video!
Omg touring with Alestorm sounds so amazing 😮 Awesome video Freya, such a cool instrument and her energy is so infectious! And peacocks!! I’m deffo checking her channel out. Sidenote you both are gorgeous, holy smokes 🖤🖤🖤
This is awesome. Patty Gurdy is great. I want to try a gurdy. But give the cost I can't justify it. Keyboards have the advantage of being available on the cheap. So I was able to get a cheap Keyboard to try out to see if I liked it. I do like it. Now I have multiple vintage synths from the 80s. I hope the cost of the gurdy goes down. I would imagine that some of the parts could be mass produced. Hopefully people can figure it out. I need to look around to see if I can find a second hand gurdy to try out.
Hi, i love also "Early American" and "Frontier Patriot" Justine and Ron Rayfield. Please a footage with them ! Noël from Tourcoing in North of France 🇨🇵 Namaste 🙏😻💖
That is even odder then my kalimba! It's awesome. Have you ever tried playing a kalimba . I'm definitely bewitched by it. I love them so much I have 5 and can't tune them for the life of me lol. 😮I didn't know you were a drummer
not only are you incredibly beautiful but you are so intelligent and well educated and talented too ! what a cool intrsument thank you for sharing this with us 🖤
I love peacocks and am sad that my park peacock is no longer in my life. I love cool instruments. But never forget, there is ONE female drummer who cannot be outdone: Katha Mia of MONO INC.

I always share with social media followers before making videos public :)

I keep hearing the voice of the Swedish Chef from The Muppets - " Hurdy gurdy! Put the chicky in the potty"!! 😂
I play the galician hurdy gurdy ("zanfona" here in Spain) and I follow you both, so I'm very surprised and happy to see this gorgeous collab. Thanks for the video, this is great.
Patty knows why she's touring with Alestorm. This is the third album they've worked on together and her role has grown each time.
Saw Patty for the first time at WGT 2022 and were very pleased to see and hear her. Great kind of music and very great artist.
This is a perfect example of a multitasking mother. 🖤🖤
I do believe you were calling the peacocks to you 😆Such a beautiful instrument and she's so patient. Thanks for sharing this moment 🖤🖤
Omg I forgot she was touring with Alestorm
You spoil us Black Friday. This was gold. I now dream of a song collaboration between the two of you. 🙏🏻

This instrument suits you!
You are kidding me that this just happened
I've watched and shared Patty Gurdy's music. 👍 I found her awhile ago because of the Black Sails theme and learning about the Hurdy Gurdy.
when the peacock appeared it was surreal... a scene from another century / dimension XD
Patty is absolutely stunning. Reminds me of my favorite Tori Amos. But much more spunky.
U both made my morning.😍
fascinating!! and amazing that you were interviewing and learning an instrument totally from scratch- all while looking after your children and fending off an army of peacocks 😂 honestly though, well done! xx
That seems to be such a fun instrument. I love the way it sounds. Glad you had fun playing with it. What a beautiful location you were at that day 💜
Awesome instrument love it🖤🖤🖤I love both of your accents together and how she says flute 🪈 beautiful scenery too with the peacocks lol but I imagine them stealing the babies snacks
A couple of years ago, I got to see a band play that featured the hurdy gurdy and nyckleharpa. Amazing sound!
This was wonderful. To see you both together and get a good lesson was great! Thank you so much .❤
How great to see two of my favorite talented people playing a wonderful instrument. I am a fan of Patty as well, She performed on the song "Concrete Cages" with Scar dust it is a must listen.

This is awesome, always wanted to learn more about the hurdy gurdy!
The perfect collab doesn't exis... oh wait 😮😮😮😮😮
I remember when I was younger working with a hurdy-gurdy musician and he was quite arrogant, but he definitely knew how to play his instrument.
This is the kind of collaboration I love ❤ to see
For some reason, seeing the two of you open the video and at 0:48 there's a blue pacifier sitting there... Made me feel all fuzzy inside! So charming!

I didn't know that was a real instrument. All I know of the hurdy gurdy is the song by Donovan, Hurdy Gurdy Man, released in 1968.
