Me too, sometimes I dont think she realizes how strong she is. Ive been stuck in the house for days due to my anxiety. I wish I had the courage to travel alone.
I am always blown away at how great you are at capturing your adventures. I feel like I am watching a professional documentary with added style and personality. Thanks for sharing. ♥
So much this! It's the reason her travel vlogs are my favorite, they inspire me to go to places I never would've thought to visit. Prague is pretty high up on the list so far, I want to see that goddamn Absinth bar in person!
agreed! It's very professional looking then you get her personality and sometimes life's tough realities (anxiety isn't always your friend on a trip, i'm sure most of us can agree to that). I love her video so much!
Staru letto this! I was in Prague a couple of weeks ago and went to that precise bar just because I saw it on her travel vlogs, and it was so enjoyable!!
You have the attitude of a strong woman and that's a great inspiration for me. Even if that's hard, you are brave enough to move on with your life and pursue your dreams no matter what others might think of you. Happy holidays! 🎀
If it makes you feel any better, you cannot faint because of anxiety: we faint when we have low blood pressure because not enough blood reaches our brain, so our body faints to bring our head low enough for the blood to reach the brain. Anxiety on the other hand constricts our vessels and raises our blood pressure, so even though you may feel like fainting during a panic attack, you cannot actually faint. If anxiety related, light-headedness is caused by hyperventilation (too much oxygen in the blood to prepare us for "fight or flight"). As our stomach muscles are contracted from anxiety, we try to compensate by taking more but shallower breaths than usual (hence the feeling of not getting enough air, as well as a tight chest sensation). The way to tackle that is to have a deep exhale, relax your stomach muscles, and then breath deeply making your belly move with each breath, but not your chest. You can count, if you want, to four during inhale, hold for two, exhale for six, hold for two, repeat (the 1:1.5 inhale-exhale ratio helps stimulate the parasympathetic system which helps us calm down). Now, if you feel light-headed out of the blue and it's not anxiety related, I would go for a blood-work check to see my iron, as well as TSH levels (that checks whether your thyroid is underactive; mine is and I had a really hard time for years feeling like I would faint -among other lovely things- until I finally got diagnosed). Hope that helps :)
Strange, the majority of people can actually get over even panic disorder once they are explained the physiological mechanisms of anxiety and how these are falsely perceived as "dangerous", which is why I wrote the comment in the first place. Oh well, good thing it includes a breathing exercise to calm down then :)
I actually suffer that anxiety stuff. My doc says it's paroxysmal attack and it can be confused with anemia or something, I don't remember. Sincerely, a closet-goth.
I occasionally suffer a panic attack and since the first one know how to deal with it.If I can I lie or sit down and steady my breathing by breathing in and out slowly
Thank you for making this type of content, you're like a jack of all trades in the world of UA-cam content. I appreciate that you provide a gateway to see these events that I would never have seen much less even know about.
This is just a side note to this beautiful video, but I have anxiety disorder and it always makes me proud to see how you push forward and don't let it stop you from doing so many things anyway! It inspires me to not let the attacks stop me from going forward.
I spent a year listening only to Mozart and when I finally got to Salzburg on a visit, it was the best. Glad you enjoyed yourself overall. A friend of mine and myself also get panic attacks when the heart starts racing from different exercise. Remember to be kind to yourself as well.
These two videos in Austria were such a treat!! Krampus Night is officially on my Bucket List! *Also- Lacrimosa has always been a personal favorite of mine. Can’t even describe how it makes me feel.
I totally get that when my anxiety acts up too. Heights, walking, vertigo, exerting myself in any way, etc.. When I cut out alcohol is when I cut my anxiety attacks in half and rarely get them anymore. Mental health is important and we want to see you flourish in all that you love~
You are cool as f##k and a breath of fresh air, in times of trouble you acknowledge it, then try and make the best of it. I think a lot of you tubers could learn a thing or two from you. Have a merry Christmas. You deserve it you wondrous goose !
The number one reason I love you is because you love classical music more than I do and currently I am addicted to classical music, I really just can’t get enough, I’m happy to see this titled video, because I have been playing a Mozart record nonstop🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤✌🏽☮️
Do you still drink a can of energy drink everyday? those are very bad and that is SO bad if you suffer from anxiety. It races your heart rate on it's own, can make you hyperventilate or give you tachycardia. Take care of your self Friday
Energy drinks can be bad if overly consumed but they're just caffeine and suppliments (plus dye and sugar). Red Bull has the same caffeine as a small cup of drip coffee/2 can cokes, with extra b vitamins, and inositol which is a sugar. Caffeine is totally not helpful for anxiety though, in any form, to be fair to the point you're trying to make. Just wanted to clarify a possible misconception.
keep on going babe, here we are to support u and give u strenght and love :) When are u coming to the UK for a meet and greet ?¿? ^^XOXOXOX from bristol
I'm always so happy when I see people in Krampus costumes enjoying themselves and acting as their alter egos. I'd love to take part in one of those runs one day, but I'd probably suffocate or die of the heat inside the costume ^^"
Krampus Of course you don't wear a costume, dark overlord of punishing naughty children. I was talking about your henchmen, the "Perchten", as we call them here in Upper Austria
They are also insanely heavy O.o I'm always surprised by the ease with which they run around. I especially enjoyed the Perchtenmania that took place in St. Gilgen for some years, but afaik some incidents took place and they cancelled it :'(
I'm so glad you're doing these travellogs. I just got a new TV and the photography is just beautiful! The colors of the place are just amazing! I can't get over how charming the whole place is. I'm more determined than ever to get to Salzburg and these winter markets for a visit! Thank you for sharing your journeys! Another thought: many times these places that are high up have special elevators or a way for disabled people to get there more easily. There must be a way because they have to deliver stuff up to that fortress and they can't haul everything up the stairs.
Same here I will sit here for hours watch every video and not skip anything in her video I watch every video and the hold video I can not skip anything when I watch hers also
You do realize there is a sky elevator which could take you up to Hohensalzburg, yes? I was also insane enough to walk up the mountain in the middle of summer, arriving almost before passing out of dehydration. Ha. But it was worth it!
Wow! Wow! Wow! These little adventures are just so fascinating and make me want to visit Austria even more now. Thank you for these wonderful blogs. I'm loving your warm winter look 👍😉
I love Salzburg so much! Everything is Mozart themed and it makes me so happy! I love watching your videos so much and seeing all the cool places I want to travel to or see again! Thank you for being such a cool and genuine UA-camr as always! X
I can feel your sadness so this was difficult to watch. I know it's cliche but it gets better. You're strong, I believe that.🖤 I've also had the 'feeling like you're going to faint' anxiety and it absolutely sucks. What helped me was just doing what you want to do anyway, as you understand that you're really not going to faint, and just push through with it. Also, making sure you're eating properly and taking extra care of yourself really helps. On a lighter note, I absolutely adore Mozart and will make the journey to this place at least once in my life! Thank you so much for sharing this with us.🖤 This message will probably be lost and you might never see it but hey, I'm sending you positive energies anyway.🖤
This was wonderful to watch ive yet to visit Salzburg but it looks so beautiful! Loved the Mozart music too - the film Amadeus still gives me chills, its so well done. Stay safe Freya sweetie, i know you ve travelled alot but it worries me sometimes when your walking around on your own! - really hope your anxiety eases a bit soon too , huge hugs from chilly England 🎼🎻🎼
I feel the same with the anxiety/fainting thing.... I get light headed and dizzy and my brain thinks it's me about to collapse/die but it never happens it's JUST the anxiety. It ruins everything :( and people don't always understand and it makes you feel stupid.
Why is Australia so far from everywhere and therefore so expensive to travel from!!?? What a beautiful little town. There are so many amazing places in Europe I'd love to see. Ahhh one day. You're looking beautiful as ever xx
I am catching up on your videos and I am glad you traveled there for YOU! These Salzburg ones are so interesting to me (an old-ish lady in Florida). You are strong, even on days when you don't feel it so much.
I think you're amazing. I have fairly severe anxiety too, and seeing you travelling on your own and being kind to yourself and aware of your limits, while still having a great time and enjoying where you are, gives me hope that I can do the same thing someday, which is something I really want to do
When you were talking about trying to go up the stairs I really felt like I understood that feeling. I don't have generalized anxiety disorder (that I know of) but once I was trying to go down a very ramshackle path down a beach cliffside, which involved dirt slopes and a few wood beams embedded as steps, and NO railings. So I had to use my friends arm or the natural rock/dirt wall to my left, and I'm absolutely terrified of slipping on a dirt/gravel slope and falling backwards and sliding, so it was extremely difficult for me. Plus I had just hurt my knee recently but hadn't gone to the doctor for it, so I had to favor one leg going all the way down and that thigh was shaking towards the end like it was going to give out. By the time I reached the bottom, I was in hysteric tears. It was much better going up, but I swore I'd never go that way again. I'd take the long northern way around that was a 3 mile trek, over that path again.
Salzburg is just stunning! You feel like you stepped back in time, it's so wonderful how they have preserved their history so well :). Thanks for taking us along on this adventure!
I’m in the process of flying to Germany today. I know you are in Austria, but whenever I watch your travel videos they make me so very excited to travel. Thank you for sharing your wonderful experiences with us!! 🙏🏻💕🖤
I'm rlly sorry about ur anxiety, but the church was SO beautiful that it gave me peace. Your jokes were great too. I know what it can be like to have a meltdown and feel as if it wrecks your day, so I cannot fault you for wanting to avoid that. I think you add gothic beauty to the church and wish you peace this holiday season.
hi gorgeous just wanted to let you know I adore you! you are so lucky to be able to travel to all these magical places like you do- I live vicariously through your videos! sending you lots of love from all you've been dealing with lately. love you!!
Your exact description of your anxiety has been mine lately and it makes me so happy but also so sad to know someone else feels it too. We can conquer the world though I know we can and anyone else who has the same issues 💕
oh man, my anxiety attacks are exactly like that, except instead of fainting, i think i will throw up (but i never do). it's the worst. hope you feel better, dearie.
Absolutely loved salzburg. Haven't been there since I left Germany about three years ago. I loved the Mozart house, the Starbucks right next to it always calls to me. There's a pasta house and it's👌👌👌👌
I went to Salzuburg in December 2016 for Krampusnacht (which is also my birthday!), it's such a beautiful city! We went up the fortress, but there is a tram that goes up the side of the hill to get you there quicker! My friend has asthma so we decided climbing the stairs in the cold wasn't a good idea. I just wish we had more time there!
I don't usually comment on your videos, but I just wanted to let you know that we're all here for you and sending our best wishes. As someone who also has anxiety I am blown away by your constant courage to be YOU, authentically and unapologetically. Whenever you have a hard day, please remember all the amazing things you have achieved thus far and will continue to achieve. You are strong and you are beautiful - never forget it.
When I get my own place I want a Krampus mask to hang up on Christmas. Those are gorgeous! And anxiety aside (what is up with the anxiety monster as of late...mine has been acting up too), I'm glad you had a great time! Much love♡♡♡
If I were you I would just ignore it. You nor Freya nor anyone else is doing anything bad by having a peculiar aesthetic. I'm lucky enough to spend most of my time in a city where no one would twice at alternative people. But once, I had this high school guy looking at me in the tube. I told him "Hey, I can see you in the reflection of the glass. Is my nose in the center of my head?" All his mates laughed at him.
Hey! You should probably give it a Google to double check, but I helped out at a CBT anxiety self help class, and the lecturer there spent a lot of time explaining that when you are anxious your blood pressure is high which actually makes it impossible to faint or pass out. Obviously check it all for yourself to make sure, but it might be something good to remeber when you are feeling very anxious, that you won't pass out because of your blood pressure. It really helped me to think about, because logically you can get control back over yourself by thinking "there's nothing to worry about, I'm not going to pass out because I can't". I always felt like it stopped me from snowballing into more panic. Hope it helps!
Making it as far up those stairs as you did was an achievement in and of itself! I hope you had a lovely time on your travels & despite the anxiety you were able to de stress a little
Anxiety and panic attacks are one thing, I've had them all my life so I know how they feel but what you describe going up stairs or exerting yourself sounds more like a heart or blood pressure problem. Please get that checked out! We don't want to lose you!

Poor kid probably thinking vampires are real lol
I love the one that was holding the baby
A goth walking the streets of Austria is such a pleasant sight.
I’m going though a break up, lasted 10 years and watching you makes me feel happy and like I need to travel x
OMG I'm so sorry :( stay strong! 💟

I just want to say thank you to it's black friday for showing me experiences I would never have thought of and enjoy immensely
Austria really said let’s use this one man as our whole country’s tourism market.
I fucking love those krampus "parades" 😂😂

As silly as it sounds, your channel is the only one I seek when I need to feel all happy, jolly and Christmassy.
Mozart's Requiem...the most beautiful music

I always come back to these vlogs, you genuinely help me feel less alone whilst dealing with unbearable anxiety.
Austria looks amazing, My type of place
Ur not alone that happens to me at school to the point where i failed the year bc of how many days I missed anyways,u are not alone ur just unique
You are cool as f##k and a breath of fresh air, in times of trouble you acknowledge it, then try and make the best of it. I think a lot of you tubers could learn a thing or two from you. Have a merry Christmas. You deserve it you wondrous goose !

You look so gorgeous in that fascinator and coat! 💜😍
How you felt in the church is how I felt in a museum once, there was so much to take in and everything was overwhelming; It didn’t help my anxiety.

Much obliged for thy lovely tour dear Friday.
4:27 "This is a really sweet and charming place" walking past a massive pile of s**t. Lol.

It's so good to revisit Salzburg through your vlogs. ^^ I was there in February. It was a happy trip :)
Everything is so fancy shmancy. Good Lord 😅

That building with the ornate ceilings was stunning
Salzburg is a very beautiful city 👍Enjoy your time there😊 greetings from Austria 🇦🇹
I AM CRYING I LOVE MOZART SO MUCH
Why is Australia so far from everywhere and therefore so expensive to travel from!!?? What a beautiful little town. There are so many amazing places in Europe I'd love to see. Ahhh one day. You're looking beautiful as ever xx
You're such an Inspiration to me. Living now as a little Baby Bat :3 And you help me get to know the Lifestyle. Thanks so much :*
I love seeing all the beautiful places you go.
I am catching up on your videos and I am glad you traveled there for YOU! These Salzburg ones are so interesting to me (an old-ish lady in Florida). You are strong, even on days when you don't feel it so much.

Ohh what a wonderful video! Mozart is one of my favourite composers so my goal is to go there one day! :)
I’m in the process of flying to Germany today. I know you are in Austria, but whenever I watch your travel videos they make me so very excited to travel. Thank you for sharing your wonderful experiences with us!! 🙏🏻💕🖤
I would love to visit Salzburg some day. I’ve been obsessed with Mozart since I was a child. Thank you for allowing me to experience this through you!
I'm rlly sorry about ur anxiety, but the church was SO beautiful that it gave me peace. Your jokes were great too. Your exact description of your anxiety has been mine lately and it makes me so happy but also so sad to know someone else feels it too. We can conquer the world though I know we can and anyone else who has the same issues 💕
I want to snuggle a Krumpas. Not even a minute in, and I was chuckling. Thank you for the video, glad you had fun.

I'm glad you figured out a way to upload it. UA-cam's content ID system has gotten near draconian.

Absolutely loved salzburg. Haven't been there since I left Germany about three years ago. I loved the Mozart house, the Starbucks right next to it always calls to me. There's a pasta house and it's👌👌👌👌
Do you travel alone ? Wish I could see those places you go too thank you for sharing them with us !
Hope you feel better soon! I'm glad you're still loving life and exploring. You're stronger than you realise!
My class is actually performing Mozart Requiem in April, so when I heard two of the movements in the background, I was like OMG I KNOW THIS!
I went to Salzuburg in December 2016 for Krampusnacht (which is also my birthday!), it's such a beautiful city! Perfect use of Lacrimosa! I hope one day you'll be able to visit that fortress, it really is lovely and has such a cool vibe once you're inside.
You my dear need all the hugs for your anxiety. I know the feelings of paralysis from anxiety. I'm so glad you loved your trip!
these video vlogs are so refreshing to see and not other channels with challenges and stuff, love you goth queen🖤
Omg this was so amazing to watch.❤❤❤
I feel the exact same way with my anxiety. I hate it, but it's nice to know I'm not alone with it. I hope it gets better for you.
I don't usually comment on your videos, but I just wanted to let you know that we're all here for you and sending our best wishes. Whenever you have a hard day, please remember all the amazing things you have achieved thus far and will continue to achieve. You are strong and you are beautiful - never forget it.
salzburg is so beautiful
Sending positivity and love to you for your anxiety, I know exactly how it feels and I hope you start feeling better soon. You got this love!
have a wonderful Christmas!
When I get my own place I want a Krampus mask to hang up on Christmas. Those are gorgeous! And anxiety aside (what is up with the anxiety monster as of late...mine has been acting up too), I'm glad you had a great time! Much love♡♡♡
I love you Freyja! I know you've been going through a rough time, but your optimism is inspiring! So happy you're having a lovely holiday!
Yay! New video! Amazing video. I have been to Salzburg, but never during Krampus season :). Thank you for taking me along.
I'm like a metal head and some people are watching at me all the time xd how you deal with it ? Ps. Love your lips and eye's ;d \m/
MY QUEEN YOU ARE SO LUCKY TO BE THERE SUCH A BEAUTIFUL HISTORICAL PLACE I LOVE VICTORIAN
Making it as far up those stairs as you did was an achievement in and of itself! I hope you had a lovely time on your travels & despite the anxiety you were able to de stress a little
Thanks for sharing, glad you enjoyed your trip!
Wow! You were by far the prettiest one there! Love you girl! 🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤
Anxiety and panic attacks are one thing, I've had them all my life so I know how they feel but what you describe going up stairs or exerting yourself sounds more like a heart or blood pressure problem. Please get that checked out! We don't want to lose you!
