The skin and muscle tearing effects were a huge part of why Motive's updated arsenal feel absolutely incredible. Quite simply the best weapons I've experienced in a survival horror game.
This gun is absolutely devastating when maxed out, especially the special on it. If you wanna clear out a room real quick hit the speacial and let it suck everything up and Kenesis a flame canister and bam everything dead. Love this gun.
It's secondary fire is one of the best crowd control tools, along with prototype stasis module. This gun saved my ass on impossible mode when fighting the brute on Aegis 7.
All the badass weapons and whatnot aside, Isaac actually having a voice in this one was the cherry on top for me. I’m really hoping they remake Dead Space 2, the 3rd one made me feel like dragging my balls across broken glass just to have someone stomp on them at the finish line
As a shotgun enthusiast, the Force Gun comes close as it is unique in its own way. I can't describe how many times this weapon saved me the trouble in close proximity with the Necromorphs. It even kills the Lurkers with one good hit.
I remember playing the original dead space on pc about a year ago and I didn't care much for the force gun. But now it seems super badass, when I get around to playing the remake ill use the force gun just to do things like this
It’s exactly the same as it was before. Literally exactly the same. They just updated the special effects for the alt fire. It’s absolutely useless as displayed in this video until you fully upgrade it. Like every gun in the game.

In hard/impossible mode, necromorphs that would take 6-9 plasma cutter shots to finish can be killed after 1 force gun shot and 2-3 plasma cutter rounds. In the original, though, it really was like the “be careful who you call ugly in school” meme. With no nodes, it was only good for buying some breathing room. Fully upgraded, it was like a localized Cat 5 hurricane of death.
I don't play on the highest difficulty, but I always pair this with the flame thrower. It's unbelievable how much I can save ammo with a stasis, a half second sweep with the flame thrower, and the force gun primary to finish them off. It got so crazy, that my pulse rifle originally had 200 ammo, and was sitting at 840+ by the time I decided to stop using the combo and swap to new weapons to try them out.
Bruh when i realized they deepened the dismemberment system by adding these layers onto the necromorph that if you used weapons like the forcegun or flamethrower to first weaken and then 1 shot with the cutter or just straight up make the assault rifle chew threw my brain was blown and not gonna lie i wrecked every brute in the game with this gun stasis walk behind and dissect like a 9th grade bio frog they did this game justice so well
I had no idea the force gun ripped the whole skin off. I played the whole game without knowing that. I would only aim at limbs !!! Because thats what the game tells you to do
This weapon is so fucking brutal. I just made my way to the beginning of chapter 10, in the first room filled to the brim with corpses (where the infectors spawn later on) and I knew some preparation beforehand was necessary. So I piled up all those corpses in a corner of the room, grabbed the force gun and fired a single shot. Those corpses was peeled to the bone, every single one of them (there are 10 or 12 if my memory serves me right) and were shredded in so many pieces that forced me to reload my save because frame rate dropped to 10 or so, because my cpu was overloaded with the insane amount of items rendered on screen at once 🤣🤣🤣
The force gun is probably my most used weapon after the plasma cutter or possibly the aasault rifle. I love how it will clear the space around you if youre getting overrun. But in this remake the way it skins them.is beyond awesome.
Roanoke gaming could really use this to really show people about the conversion process CAUSE HOLY HELL THE DEVS DIDNT NEED TL ADD THIS LEVEL OF DETAIL CAUSE HOT DAMN THATS AWESOME
one thing that i disliked in the remake was the appearence of the brute because now its MUCH harder to see the weakspots on him and this can lead to new players just wasting all their ammo on one necro

Definitely the most satisfying weapon in the game and your get-out-of-jail-free card. There is very little in the game one blast of this thing will not save you from. My personal favorite is still the updated flamethrower, it went from being a meme to an absolute beast.
Buzzsaw, plasma cutter, rifle and flame thrower are my favourites. Never had a use for the Force gun or the contact beam, i also had to learn very quickly early on to use the telekinesis
This weapon has the biggest improvement over the original. The way it weakens them by tearing the skin and muscles from their body making it easier to remove limbs. Chef's kiss. Also i don't know if anyone else has discovered this but there's a way to instant KO every normal necromorph. Use the flamethrower to set them on fire then just shot them with the force gun and for some reason they instantly die even on the higher difficulties. Great way to save ammo for other weapons.
My only criticism and complaint is that your videos have a little bit of stuttering in your voice a few times towards the beginning. A little editing about that to mitigate it would have made this perfect. Other than that your voice, tone, cadence and everything imaginable was perfect. Loved the video, please keep making more!

I usually secondary fire and while they’re all pulled together, I just use the secondary fire on the flamethrower
