You can do the same thing with a desktop PSU, or an Ant Miner power supply. If you are going to have an amplifier that ranges 1000 watts rms or higher, recommended to get a 2 farad cap just to be on safe side. Used to have car audio as a stereo at home. I loved having 3 10's in my bedroom and 4 6x9s on a car head unit was great for making beats at home when i was 19. 28 now, so this was almost 10 years ago for me. My neighbors hated me back then.

I use mind to psu and push 4000 watts Lanzar 4channel with crossover to separate to mid high to bass shit dummin my neighbor called a police for me and still plyn idgaf at all they not gone do shit at all
What you did is exactly what I'm trying to do and to make beat's as well. That's my main focus for this. I have a 1000w rms amp for sub and a seprate amp for two car speakers. What's the method that worked for you?
For a more simple budget friendly setup you can use an Xbox power supply, PC power supply or something like such and split the wires accordingly. For the PC power supply you will have to trick it into thinking the power button is pressed so it is always on. Then you can hookup a car stereo to power your speakers. For a sub you could use a home theatre box and connect via RCA

Damn dude! I have ONE of those same Orions that I am trying to test since I haven't had it connected for years. That thing used to make my eyes shake and literally broke my rear view mirror glue, i glued it on again, and it broke the chunk of windshield that the rear view mirror was glued to out. Make sure to use a powerful enough power supply. A 12v power brick or something may turn on the amp, but can't deliver all the ampere, that a big amplifier needs, and it can damage both amplifier and power supply
it'll be fine it's a 120A converter, 1000(w) / 13.6(v) = 74ish(amps). Only thing I'm concerned about is how long do you want the wires to poke in the amp? o.O

for everyone who wants to set an amp up in their house, don't go over 14.4V and under 12V, it might damage your amplifier (unless you want to be sherlock holmes and see how it damages it, go ahead)

You should really think about fusing that. short power wire from the power supply/battery terminal to an inline fuse holder, then the longer power wire to the amp. This adds an extra layer of protection for your amp and subwoofer. If there were to be a power surge or issue, it'd blow the inline fuse, effectively protecting your equipment.
I'm a simple man. I see a JL W7, I click like lol. I've hooked up my system with a PC power supply too, pretty easy to do, makes a custom home stereo with car audio parts better than a lot of home theater speakers for the same price or a lot less (for stereo setups that is)

You dont need a special power source like this, you can do it with a PC power supply not laptop supply but from a tower. As long as you have more than 40 amperes in 12v rail you are good to go with a modest 600/700w amplifier. Just do the jumpstart on the power supply using a cable to connect the green wire to the black in the 21pins big cable and conect the yellow from a molex to positive and black to negative.
Or you can use a pc power supply with a high current AGM battery in parallel to help the amp ✌ Edit: unfortunately the pc psu is regulated right at 12v and not up to 12.7v or 13.8 or even 14.4v

I have a 10 inch kicker comp vr running off of a 200 watt fosi audio subwoofer amp and it honestly bumps pretty good it plugs into the wall no power supply needed I'm using a single din car stereo that I'm powering with a Nintendo wii power supply I just cut the end off and soldered the wires into the power connection of the head unit and I'm just using the two fosi audio amplifiers 100 watt one for the bookshelf speakers and the 200 for the subwoofer

I got a dumb question but maybe someone can answer it for me. What do you do when your amp takes a bigger gauge wire than your power supply? For an example your amp can take 0 gauge but your power supply can only take up to 4 gauge. Would you just use 4 gauge wire to wire the power supply to the amp or is there some sort of adapter that you would connect to the power supplys terminals?

Thats possible todo, but doing so is to much... better off hooking up a car stereo to the power supply as well. You can always use a pc power supply to power a amp and stereo. as long as the wattage is high enough on the power supply to power what your powering. "yellow wire positive, black wire negative" I'd youtube it to understand better. I dont want to type everything lol

@@ragestarter well depends what’s your setups lookin like, I use a home theatre receiver as my main, it controls the volume of everything together and receiver it self will power some speakers, you need a home theatre receiver that has a subwoofer out put that will go into your sub amp
Try and cut your remote wire as short as possible to avoid resistance, I mean obviously don't have a fuck ton of tension between your power and remote sockets, just keep about an inch and a half on the wire depending on how far apart they are.
This lady was giving all her stuff away in her house cause she was moving and saw a 1,000 watt receiver and took it and it works beautifully got lucky

tengo mi subwoofer (kipus apache a-120 3000wats) y cuando subo el volumen y suena el subwoofer, la etapa se pone en protección porque el voltaje baja de 14 hasta 11. si alguien sabe que puede ser lo que le pasa lo agradeceria mucho. un saludo a todos y gracias de antemano.

I do not leave the supply on 24/7 so no that’s not the case... amp turns on only when supply is plugged in

I also just showed someone this trick with the Rem/Power jumper.
I had to do it to test the amp in the car.
No power turned out to be a fried remote wire.
Wasn't trying to run the amp, but testing it to find out why there was no power.
That guy was amazed & bummed.

I got a dumb question but maybe someone can answer it for me. What do you do when your amp takes a bigger gauge wire than your power supply? For an example your amp can take 0 gauge but your power supply can only take up to 4 gauge. Would you just use 4 gauge wire to wire the power supply to the amp or is there some sort of adapter that you would connect to the power supplys terminals?

So the amp can turn on, this only if your using a power supply... if a battery is in line then you do the same thing but have a switch connected

Correct, if your receiver only gives out a positive output you’ve gotta make your own ground
you can also use a original xbox 360 power adapter if you splice the end it works great

So if I use the inverter do I need a specific amount of voltage from my house power outlet? For example in cars your electrical usually it’s better to have a higher amp alt and 2 batteries for power. I was wondering what would be the side effect of this?

The Powermax itself has fuses, if you do everything correctly you don’t need an inline fuse

You can always use a pc power supply to power a amp and stereo. as long as the wattage is high enough on the power supply to power what your powering. "yellow wire positive, black wire negative" I'd youtube it to understand better. I dont want to type everything lol
You can get a 3.5mm to rca adapter and a Bluetooth receiver to accomplish what you want to do for $20
Or just run a real crossover or banded eq
Tip: For a cheaper way just get a xbox cable and just slice the wires and it will only cost 22.99 unless prices gose up it will help power the amp

If it’s a monoblock amp nope
You would need like a 5ch amp or a 3ch amp. 5ch is 2 fronts 2 rears and a sub with the sub channel usually putting out more power, same w 3ch amps

No vocals are expected out of a subwoofer, you need to get some speakers for that

@@ragestarter well depends what’s your setups lookin like, I use a home theatre receiver as my main, it controls the volume of everything together and receiver it self will power some speakers, you need a home theatre receiver that has a subwoofer out put that will go into your sub amp
This is cool. But can’t you just buy an home amplifier to run the speakers?
Try and cut your remote wire as short as possible to avoid resistance, I mean obviously don't have a fuck ton of tension between your power and remote sockets, just keep about an inch and a half on the wire depending on how far apart they are.
