I appreciate your review specifically because you don't have previous Hayabusa experience to compare to. I love your honesty about how you were a bit iffy in the beginning, but by the end you had started to really appreciate the bike for what it is. I especially appreciate your comments about the quality feel of the bike. I sat on one at the dealer, but have not ridden one. I agree that the whole appearance and fit and finish is at a very high level. I really love how Suzuki have effectively blended old-school and new-school. Well done! Great review.
Your words mean a lot to me, thank you! All I hope for is that I can help people learn about the machines I ride and maybe contribute towards their bike-buying decisions. It's also a hell of a lot of fun along the way! Thanks again.
I’ve ridden Harleys all my like. That’s only around 50 years. The main reason I like 👍 my Hayabusa was that when riding like you are doing is the leaned over. Which took the straight up and down pounding off my back. Riding the Hayabusa my back would flex in a natural direction. When I would put on 450 to 600 miles in a day. When I got home I could actually walk as to riding one of my Harley’s I would put on a 100 to a 150 and when I got home all I could do is lay down.
I'm not used to cruisers at all and so when I do ride them, the way they transmit bumps straight up my spine really puts me off! The Hayabusa is one hell of a bike... after a lifetime of Harleys it's better late then never eh? 😁 I hope you are having a great time on it! 👍
Hi Rikky!! Absolutely brilliant review I pick up my 2021 black and orange hayabusa the end if this month!! Only has 800 miles on it and R77 yoshimura end cans fitted and factory heated grips!! Got it for a great price too!!! Can't wait! Keep up the good work I watch all your videos!!

Great review! Puts emphasis on how it feels to ride the bike instead of regurgitating the spec sheet. I test rode one a few weeks back and can't stop thinking about it. Has a bit more sporty riding position than my Gsx-S 1000, but that's about my only gripe. Will make the switch possibly next spring.
It's great to be in that moment of deciding whether to change bike isn't it, gathering all the info you can get your hands on! The only thing I might caution you against is the weight of the bike when you have to push it around with the engine switched off. Granted I'm not the strongest man in the world but... it's bloody heavy! Anyway I'm glad you enjoyed the video and thanks for your comment, it's much appreciated.
Rik, what is your height? I'm 6'3" tall in height and the busa seems to fit me just fine without any back aches; even on long 3 hour riding stretches...
@@RikkyTang thanks buddy. I found some lowering pegs on ebay for the 2022 hayabusa. They are called M-Grip Billet 40mm(1.5 inches lowering). There's also the touring 'double bubble' from a site called Zero Gravity for the 2022/23 hayabusa and that's pretty much all a tall person would need to go on multi-day tourings :)
12:10 yep, I see you are getting used to it now lol. I have a gen2. I don't see any point in 'upgrading' to the gen3 just yet. The gizmos are not needed, but nice additions. On your conclusion, they only get better the more you ride them. A bike like this makes you feel like you are king (or queen) of the bikers!
@@RikkyTang yes a bit of a challenge when you re getting a move on! Zif you go through Charlbury and head to Woodstock there’s about 4 - 5 miles of nice road, 👍
For Euro 5 and OEM exhausts it sounds pretty good, are you picking up the exhaust note purely from your helmet mic, or do you have a second mic nearer the cans?
Wow that must be like riding a rocket when opened up but it's a big old beast did it feel really heavy at any point for me it just looks to bulky although I like this one more then the earlier ones not sure why though . : )
You can tell there is a lot of weight there but you don't really feel it when you are riding. It's a big bulky machine but the latest design update has really refined the look. And yeah.. it's a rocket alright! 🚀
I often think that sports car drivers like the loud, rasping sound of their cars, but in fact, they are not going any faster than ordinary cars, which do not make such an awful racket.
Haha I was one of those people many years ago! It's funny now I think of it... my current BMW R1250 makes as much horsepower as my old (and unnecessarily loud) BMW 318is 16v

I’m planning to do the same , I’m riding a gsx-s 1000 too. Needed something for touring. I had a Diavel & a GS too. I’m a Suzuki fan boy now 😂

I rewatched most of the video after seeing your comment and I had forgotten how hugely impressive this bike was! The Gen 3 has to be a future classic.
Did it push you out of the seat over the bumps on the Charlbury road 😜 one of my favourite roads👍😎
Great vids by the way 😬
Cheers Paul, yes its a lovely bit of road, just wish it was ten times longer! I did get out of the seat a couple of times 😁

I've got a second mic in my backpack to pick up the exhaust.
Enjoyed that, thanks.
