Thanks. I had an old Ego 2016 lawnmower that had an engine problem and they fixed it under warranty which took some time so I bought another Ego because I liked them so much to keep mowing the grass. After I got the original one back, the self propelled broke a few years later and I started using the original one that I got in 2020. I saw your video and tried the fix on the old one and I had it working with a few bangs of the screwdriver. Thanks so much for your video. Now I am cutting the grass back with the old mower and I will let the new mower sit for a few years. Thanks again for your video.
This works for most brushed DC motors. The brushes are sticking or aging. Just a matter of time before it fails. I had to same problem and did this myself too.

I’m not sure 🤔 I’d care much if the SP crapoed out. Of course, I’d probably fix it however I rarely use it. I have the 2135SP & it’s super light and easy to push. Loving my EGO! ✌🏻👍🏻

The back wheel can occasionally seize without it so if it breaks while engaged it can make things more difficult to push.
how come my mower only has one blade?
the more expensive version has two
