Slow and steady wins the race as they say. Wait, that's for a tortoise. Long courses: Abysmal results requiring tremendous skill, kills and most importantly, luck. Technical courses: The time for this car's silver to shine. It has a hard time at tracks where speed is important (Surface Slide, Cylinder Knot, Half-Pipe), but destroys a bit on the short technical tracks. Even our best frie-- er... FIEND Phantom Road. You know what they say *Good things come in small packages*
@@custom-r I'm not like most GX players who turn their backs on cars like these. I'll find the twinkle of light within their darkness and make it REALLY shine.
How the F-zero committee could even let a child into the most dangerous racing competition ever with the shittiest machine is beyond me. I guess Goroh made some shady deals behind the scenes, idk
Pretty late on this, but I do feel the small hitbox is one of the Silver Rat's few positives. Something that will likely change as Daigoroh grows older though, even if he doesn't put on as much weight as his old man
Who will win: A 2,5 ton heavily armored tank with great speed, boost, piloted by the richest man on Earth. OR A small rat with a shitty max speed, piloted by a kid.
Silver Rat, what a crummy reward for very hard difficulty. Thankfully, chapter 6 isn't too painful to do. And to give it credit, it would be a fine ship in X.
I think this machine being terrible kinda makes sense from a lore perspective. Daigoroh's just a little kid who wants to be like his daddy when he grows up. He's a wannabe, and he has a wannabe's machine. He is just SO CUTE though, and TBH I feel like Samurai Goroh's doing better than Falcon, since he actually has a family while Falcon is "married to the race" (what a weirdo).
in a generic manga/anime with a cringe kid protagonist, daigoroh would be the underdog main character who never loses despite being a terrible pilot and having a shitty machine, good thing F-Zero is not like that at all.
This video is so funny to me. I remember having soooo much trouble with story mode on very hard, and this was the only vehicle that I liked that was unlocked. It was the only machine that I beat all cups on Master mode with. I didn't realize I was giving myself a hard time for no reason. I just liked the way his boost sounded.
Ah I was waiting for another gx machine Video. I enjoy these the most. The only time I choose silver rat is when I want a challenge on master GP. Silver Rat is the only machine for me that's hard to win every course with. Cylinder knot is Impossible if black bull is in the race.
Absolutely. Silver Rat shares much in common with Hyper Death Anchor in Climax. Both can be seen as rather weak in their respective games. But where Silver Rat struggles on long tracks, Hyper Death Anchor's greatest weakness is very technical tracks. Also, imagine Cylinder Knot with Black Bull AND Fat Shark in there.
@@custom-r I sadly cant speak for climax - I have played a little but I'm too bad to judge or comment anything on that. Has the fat shark AI ever done anything good on cylinder knot? When I play he mostly ends up on the 26th-30th place. Black Bull on the other hand has set an AI record of 2'53"100 in one of my Games. That is faster than the silver Rat world record in cylinder knot!
@@GrayFoxGX Assuming Fat Shark doesn't spin, then yeah it'll be monstrous. Otherwise, it's the sheer bulky weight holding it back. We do know though in GX mods, Fat Shark could end up beyond reach in any race.
Honestly, I get the feeling the reason why the boost stat is so high despite its actual booster being trash is because you can spam the shit out of it. It's booster is weak but for however much it's worth you can boost twice in the same amount of time other machines boost once. The devs probably thought that was a good compromise (it's not).
Silver Rat has the literal lowest top speed in the entire game. And also the worst boost stats to boot. And to top it all off, even the duration is bad. It's not even funny how bad they made it. To quote a certain video game nerd: What were they thinking?

Depends on the track and skill
My papa would win. Not the two you mentioned
2:18 is a testament to how powerful Fat Shark's booster is. Even at 1400 kmh, the fat shark just flies ahead.

There’s still Kent Akechi, assuming he really is Falcon’s son.

Well, at least it has the coolest-sounding boost.

Funny you just posted this now, I beat Master mode with the Silver Rat for the first time about an hour ago.
It's one heck of an experience. I imagine clearing Emerald and Diamond with Silver Rat would be a test of one's fortitude.
On the plus side, it would have no trouble fitting on the thin roads on Slim Line Slits, could possible get some boosts in on there.
You would think that, but the hit box is the same size as the larger machines!

@@custom-r yeah in mods fat shark is op. Also, in the vanilla game he almost always wins Split Oval. And Trident is his hometown for Sure.
The stats spell dad
Yeah, I wasn't too crazy on the Silver Rat, but I still think it has potential; hell, I even had it low on my Top 12 Petites in Video Games.
1:40 Bruh, that was so cool xD
After making a video to all F-Zero vehicules, will you do a video Tier-List?
I don't see myself doing a video-tier list. I might probably do my top 10 fave vehicles though.
Damn custom, you bouta f*ck around and make me 100% this game again, which is fine... it's awesome! It's just a commitment 😅

Small size, big fun. Just for kicks, I like messing around with this machine 😁
I don`t think its smaller. I noticed all the F-zero machines has an invizible cube around it or hitbox. And it seems its the same for everyone.
3:46 Caption Falcon, lol.
Yeah, this machine sucks. It's like if an actual rat being weighed down by silver bars tried to compete in an F-Zero race.
