Pepa has aged EXTREMELY well for 50.
FRRRR!!! She’s my favorite character lol

She also had Antonio at 45 accordigg bc to thus
nah fifty really isn't all that old. she looks great! but also that's not all that uncommon for her age
she stays moisturized
Mirabel looks way older than 15
no she doesn’t it’s just because she has culturally accurate clothing to that timeframe and ethnic features💀 Jasmine looks like a grown woman because of how over sexualized she was and she’s meant to be the same age as mirabel
That's what family baggage does to you. I've been told I look like I'm mid 20's when I'm 18.
Snow White called: she says “I know what you mean”
And I look way younger than 20, your point?/j
I thought she was like 17
It's so hard to think of Bruno that old because he looks and seems so much younger like a teenager or a young adult
Maybe mentally. Not everyone matures the same.
Because he kept his innocence
And it's ironic because with his power, reputation, and living condition, one'd think he'd be by far the most stressed of the three.
Autistic coded characters usually have younger features and behaviors
Yeah locking himself inside the walls for 10 years probably didn't help him that much.
I thought it was kinda obvious that isabella was the oldest
She had alot of pressure to be perfect as the first grandchild
To be the shining example to the rest
Probably also that she looked the most like the abuela when she was younger so the abuela might have tried to live vicariously through her
Yeah it's kinda the responsibility of the eldest to be the rolemodel for the younger siblings/cousins 🥹
yeah and also she needs to be old enough to get married
@@preppyalbsxoxoeh, they got married pretty young back then.

@@twtabuttonshirt yup, cause most Latinos have every spectrum in their family. I know mine does.😅
I feel like the movie never explicitly told us their ages so we can each relate to the character regardless of age. I related HEAVILY to Mirabelle and I assumed she was in her early twenties.
They did, the creator reveled there birthdays and ages
Actually, at least Mirabel’s and Antonio’s ages were revealed. Because we know Antonio is turning five years old, and the guy who gave Mirabel the decorations said there hadn’t been another ceremony since hers ten years ago, we can infer that she is 15 years old. I however don’t remember whether Camilo’s age was stated or not, but I do know the other three’s weren’t.
I don’t believe any ages were directly stated in the movie, aside from the triplets who are implied through the age of the miracle candle. The only reason we know what they are is because the movie’s director revealed them on Twitter.
Regardless, I think it’s completely fine to relate to any character regardless of age. I also relate to Mirabel (and Bruno) a lot and I’m in my mid-twenties. Those sorts of emotional struggles are universal.
@@mariak5096 the triplets' age is mentionned in a way because when Abuela talks anout the miracle, she says it happened 50 years ago
did you not see the artbook that had all the madrigals ages revealed?
They also have confirmed birthdays.
Isabella's birthday is August 7th and Dolores's is August 31st so they're only a couple weeks apart, which also means Julieta and Pepa went through their first pregnancy together and that's honestly so adorable
thats so true though, my mom and her friend had me and my current best friend only a little more than a week apart, i was born on january 17th, she was born on january 26th
Where can you find this information?
Fun thing August 7th is a national holiday in Colombia, for the last important battle that occured in colombian territory during the independence wars. So a birthday and a free day, cool (also it is they day in which the elected presidents get instated in their charged)
That's so cool! My birthday is near Dolores, it's August 30
Literally every time something says Dolores is a few months younger than Isabela, it makes me mad. Like, THEY WERE BOTH BORN IN AUGUST!
Imagine being blamed for ruining the magic at 15 years old and being scolded by a 3/4 of a century old lady.

@@bb971 agreed. Encanto’s just so popular because it’s based in a Latin country, let’s be honest.
I love that abuelo’s singing voice is the same age as when the character died. Such a sad but wholesome detail. Like he keeps singing to his family from the heavens.
He doesn't have a singing voice. He has no lines at all.
It's the artist who sang over the flashback who was the same age as Pedro when he died.
@@brianaschmidt910 but we can assume that it was Pedro singing it
Why did so many people think the triplets were under 50? They literally mention that it's been 50 years since the Encanto was made in the beginning. The house was created when the triplets were newborns so they would have to be 50 at least.
Then that means Pepa had Antonio at 45
@@user-mb9bl8kw8s
Which is unlikely but does and can happen. Probably explains why there was such a big age gap because Pepa being 45 assumed she couldn’t have anymore kids and so didn’t use as much protection. Then out comes a surprise kid.

Me who's one of those people: 🤭
Unaffected ngl
Y’know.. People are allowed to simp for old cartoon characters. There’s nothing wrong with that.
I’m just glad it’s not children…
Bruno is the youngest of the triplets and having had experience (not personally) with birthing twins, once the water breaks the count down starts to infection of the babies. The longer you’re in there, the more likely you’ll get sick (specifically of all the parts that let you breath). The youngest of the twins I know has lung issues and frequent sinus infections (they weren’t born anywhere near medical assistance). They often sound a bit under the weather and ticker out quickly.
Bruno seems to have none of these issues which important a combination of very good luck and sheer will power in his part.

I thought Bruno was 31, I can’t believe he’s that old 😭
Aged gracefully
My Latina mom is 54 and she looks 32
Honestly the real miracle of the Madrigal family is how triplets could look so different.
It's actually pretty common if they're fraternal
They are fraternal triplets. Fraternal triplets happen when multiple eggs are fertilized in one session.
This implies that the triplets were conceived from a very passionate, very long session.
A friend of mine had fraternal twins, though this was a medical procedure thus the twins had separate dads. They look related but not identical
Honestly that’s just being Hispanic. My sister and I don’t look related, my mom and her siblings range from white to black passing while just being 100% Puerto Rican from the same parents. Same with Cuban, Columbian, and Mexican families that married into ours or we know
Actually, they do look like siblings. They all have varying degrees of similarity to their parents. Julieta looks the most like Alma, Bruno looks the most like Pedro, and Pepa is a fairly even mixture of both parents, though she does lean a little more in favor of Alma.
It is normal in Latin America. Your parents could be white and you could be dark on your grandparents' side. My grandmother was brown and all 6 of her children are white.
Isn't Luisa the oldest and Isabella is the middle?

Shower thought: did their doors change with time? Antonio's door had the version of him as a child and if the other madrigals also got their gifts at age 5 why do their doors feature their older/adult selves? Did they change? Or did the doors just predict the future?
I’ve always assumed the doors grew as their respective owner grew
I heard someone asked the creators the similar question 🤨
They don't change, if you looks the picture that shows the ceremonies you can see that in them the doors are the same, but i read a fan theory that said like casita kind of know the future, so shows how they will look when they rebuild it, or something like that.
Before knowing their actual ages, I thought Luisa was the eldest and Mirabel was like 16 or 17. Camilo actually looks younger than Mirabel, even when the movie itself states he's older than her.

Dolores is such a middle child, always up in everyone's business, existing but hardly ever noticed, and Mirabel a true last born, so inquisitive, overprotected, the last to know/find out ANYTHING, wants to be needed and always trying to prove herself
Dolores isn't a middle child, she's the oldest of her family side, and Mirabel might be the youngest in her side of the family, but she's definitely not overprotected. If anything, Mirabel has mostly been ignored and overseen her entire life. Antonio is a true last born - he's the youngest on his side but also the youngest in the house and everyone seemed to adore him.

how did y’all think she was 25 if bruno left a decade ago 💀 because bruno was totally a young adult and it isn’t mentioned that 50 YEARS AGO is when the miracle happened.
Does that even make sense💀 you really thought Julietta had mirabel at 10 years old?
@@Im_ZionAnd isabela at 3
@@vxnyll_gacha I didn’t even think about Isabela😭
Still sad that Bruno never got to fall in love or have kids...😢
😢 I would've definitely have kids with him ❤
@@user-zs5tp9zi6n🤨🤨🤨🤨🤨
Yeah I want some of those deserts that make me look 30 at 50
I thought Mirabel was 20, she's younger than me?! 😭
Abuelo Pedro is so dame fine💋
Facts!! ❤❤
Nah bro younger abuela Alma takes it for me
**me trying to understand why is 26 urs old but abuela is 75 when even when a person died they still get older**
It said when he died
No they don’t. Getting older means aging and actually growing either physically or emotionally as you age. That’s why people say “they would have been -- age”
Abuela's husband died at the age of 26. Abuela lived, so she continued to age, to which she is now around 75
I don't know why this is confusing people, Abuela was 25 and Pedro 26 when they had the triplets and he died saving them. He WOULD BE 76 had he not passed away, you don't age when you die and the guy literally states "he was 26 when he died".
I feel like someone needs to explain to you how people don’t age when they’re already dead? That’s why they stay the same age? Are you a child?
I always forget Bruno is Mirabel uncle and triplet of her mother Julieta because he looks way yunger than his sisters.
Im i the only one that thought antonio was 10😂
Mirabel looks to be in her 30's. She does not look 15 🤔🤔🤔
I sincerely will never understand how anyone thinks she looks older than 18. Literally take away the traditional outfit and put her in some random crop top and shorts and everyone would say she looks 12
@@lilac3266frrr, i dont know what 30s this people have seem but damm they do have a good skin routine to look like teenagers
I thought Mirabel was 25 for the longest time.
Pepa doesn’t look 50, 😂
She looks younger, i bet her powers keep her healthy.
I love all their hairstyles
I’m sorry Antonio doesn’t act or look 5 I thought he was 7 this whole time 😅
same
Also there is a whole song about Luisa being the oldest and shouldering the most responsibility because shes the strongest and oldest so idk why everyone says Isabella is the oldest unless the song is a loop hole in the plot
@@MidnightXRanmaIsabella is the oldest and in the song you're mentioning luisa mentioned being an older sister not being the oldest sister as she is singing to mirabel her younger sister there for making her older. There are no loopholes just misunderstanding it's mentioned quite a few times that isa is the eldest of the kids.
@@literaltrash5189 hmm ok maybe I’m remembering wrong
@@MidnightXRanma if it helps all the ages given in the video are confirmed by the writers and director
Uh, Isn't Antonio 7? Smart 5 year old.
They get their gifts at the age of 5 so Antonio is 5 years old
@mckillarX they get it at 8 I thought
@@TheOficialBiancaDiAngelo123 no, look back at Mirabel's
Bruno "left" casita for a decade
Mirabel is 15
Now 15-10= 5
Mirabel's ceremony was when she was 5 years old
@@TheOficialBiancaDiAngelo123 no it's 5.
If I were to guess I’d have thought Louisa was the oldest, then Dolores and Isabella the same age, then Camilo. The way Camilo can remember Bruno but Mirabelle doesn’t, Louisa sings she’s older, and Dolores and Isa I’m just guessing.
Woah some encanto stuff on my shorts-
